I’ve been asked by Boiron, a world-class homeopathic manufacturing pharmacy, to give a series of my homeopathy tips. This one focuses on stress and sleep solutions.
Women are particularly susceptible to stress as they juggle careers, child rearing and household responsibilities.
Stress and sleep issues go hand in hand. Too much stress can make all of us anxious and tense, thus leading to sleep problems.
In the coming weeks, future videos will feature more helpful tips on other Boiron homeopathic medicines that can help ease fever, coughs and colds, and allergies.
Please pass this on to anyone you know. Everyone will benefit.
Warmly,
I am a homeopath with a worldwide practice working with families and individuals via Zoom. I'm also a teacher and most importantly, a mom who raised my now-adult children depending on homeopathy over the last 31 years. I lived decades of my life with food intolerances, allergies, and chemical sensitivities until I was cured with homeopathy, so I understand pain, anxiety, and suffering. You may feel that your issues are more severe or different than anyone else’s, but I have seen it all in my practice and in my work in India. My opinion is that nothing has come close to the reproducible, safe and effective results that my clients, students and I have achieved with homeopathy.
Call today and learn how homeopathy might just be the missing piece in your health strategy.
Joette is not a physician and the relationship between Joette and her clients is not of prescriber and patient, but as educator and client. It is fully the client's choice whether or not to take advantage of the information Joette presents. Homeopathy doesn't "treat" an illness; it addresses the entire person as a matter of wholeness that is an educational process, not a medical one. Joette believes that the advice and diagnosis of a physician is often in order.

awesome! thanks
This is great! Thanks for including various options. Ignatia was helping my mother but I felt she was having some undesired effects, so we stopped for a while and she is doing fine without it. We might try Gelsemium as an alternative in future.
Okay, I just wrote these out…gonna put next to my bed with the remedies so I am ready when I can’t sleep. Happens a lot lately…too much stress in my life. Thanks.
Thank you for this info, but I am wondering if aconite could b taken to prevent night terrors or to help someone with REM sleep disorder who wakes in the middle of the night and physically lives out his nightmare?
Aconitum would be useful in this situation only if the cause was a result of a shocking situation. While we use remedies that address specific pathologies, we still consider the etiology particularly when it comes to psychological conditions.
Ok, so how do I figure out the etiology? He has done this since he was young and at least one of his brothers does this too and his mother used to have the same problem. Every time he stirs in his sleep it’s always in an intense panic and whatever he has been working on that day is usually what he is scared if or panicking about(his mind at night takes what he dealt with during the day and creates a worse case scenario that he then lives out). We tried the western medicine route and they just want to put him on sleeping pills. We did a sleep study that only confirmed what I told them and they labeled it as a REM sleep disorder. We tried chiropractic and that just made it worse. He can be dangerous!
Sometimes the etiology is as simple as it being a hereditary response and that too can be considered a cause. You might consider what he is eating that could cause this response. This is where I’d go next if I took his case. You may need to work with a homeopath if this ends up at a dead end.
Do you have a written form of this? I’d like to print it. 🙂
Thank you for this. Your site is filled with so much great info. If you could ever do a post on sleep apnea, I would be so thrilled.
The information I offered is often used for sleep disturbances regardless of the term or etiology.
hi Joette, thank you for your informative video on sleep and stress
I have had trouble sleeping but now I sleep very tense(clenching all), and wake either very tense and anxious or totally exhausted until the evening when I start relaxing a bit wether I’m working the next day or not. All this started with flu and extreme fatigue which got me worried..
I was going to go for aconite but there are so many treatments out there as you mentioned, so I’m a bit lost in making the right decision
Thank you for your time in reading this

The video won’t play and I’ve tried two different browsers. Is it located elsewhere, or is there a transcript? I’d really like to hear/read this information! Thanks!
I found it on youtube! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLAYuQvtL1c
Hi Joette,
When using Ignatia 200, 2x a day, for nightmares, that have been ongoing for several years how long should they continue to take it with no change in the nightmares or frequency? whn and what else to try? Thank you.
If there’s no change after about 6-8 weeks, something else is needed and more information would be required to determine the medicine…which means taking the case.
Hi. Thank you! I’m a little confused on how to parse out reluctance to sleep based on grief and shock (ignatia and aconitum). Often the death of a loved one has both shock and grief. Like if a parent to a teen died overnight it would be a total shock to that person but then the grief would be big too. Do we go to secondary functions of the remedies to help figure it out? Thank you!
It may be shocking to learn of a loved one’s death but the overarching emotion we use to determine the medicine is usually grief. We don’t gather up all that may be considered but rather a hierarchy of symptoms.
Hi Joette,
My question is about taking 2 different substances together. Taking Coffee cruda for sleep and Lachesis 200 for heart pounding in a post menopausal woman who’s suffered with insomnia and heart pounding for 2+ years now.
Thank you!
As a general practice, I use more than one medicine at a time for different conditions in one schedule.
