BulldozerGandhi said, “Homeopathy is the most refined method of treating patients economically and non-violently.”

My family and I live on 15 acres in the Boston Hills of New York where we built our house and pond. We laid out our land to keep chickens, ducks and bees and to raise our family. I’ve experienced the anticipation and thrill of watching a bulldozer reshape the earth to our family’s needs.

In taking on this project, we knew there was a good deal at stake if we uprooted a spring or dismantled a stand of apple trees, so we learned as much as possible on the subject before permitting the powerful bulldozer to rearrange our land.

Antibiotics are like a bulldozer. They rearrange our insides. Just as we knew that our decision in 1994 would impact the terrain even today, so must we consider what an antibiotic can leave in its wake decades, even a lifetime, later.

The human body is a virgin forest. It is capable of a prosperous yield and abundance, often in spite of our abuses. Antibiotics clear out the natural growth and often destroy these strengths. This is why one illness follows another, with ever-deepening pathology, shortly after the use of drugs to “control” the symptoms of the first.

No matter the new arrangement made by the antibiotic, the terrain will never be the same. It will never look or perform like a virgin forest again.

Even modern medicine has finally begun to recognize the folly of prescribing antibiotic after antibiotic.

Enter Homeopathy …

Long before modern medicine’s antibiotics and other drugs became a way of life, homeopathy had its own take on infectious disease.

Even before the understanding that microorganisms cause infectious disease, Dr. Samuel Hahnemann made a simple but insightful observation. He noted that suppression of any symptom is dangerous and ill-conceived because it treated the wrong thing.

That is, by treating the symptom, the illness is being managed, not cured.

Herein lies the division between modern medicine and homeopathy and the reason for the political divide between the two philosophies  (if you can call modern medicine a philosophy. I call it a lot of scrambling spent on chasing symptoms.)

Modern medicine controls symptoms. Homeopathy celebrates them as clues to the right remedy that will uproot the illness forever.

But now we get to the interesting and, more importantly, practical part.

No matter how many years previously the antibiotic was administered, this method has a reputation for uprooting the pathology that the antibiotic caused.

Did you hear me? Uprooted illness.

I’d love to tell you that there is a one-size-fits-all method, but what I can share with you is that with the methods I teach in my Good Gut, Bad Gut course, I give you …

1)   A thorough step-by-step guide

2)   How to do this, so that you needn’t be shackled to a diet or even dependent on a homeopath.

3)   The ability to cure yourself!

I know. I know. Homeopaths have told you it is not possible to cure your family of chronic conditions. I even told you this years ago.

Please accept my apologies.

Having suffered from food intolerances myself, I knew there had to be a way to cure this with reproducible homeopathic measures, and I also knew Indians had the best knowledge of it.

I studied every homeopathy book I could find written by Indian homeopaths (I own 47 of them), many authored by MDs, and spent 5 years studying with homeopathic Indian doctors in New York and Toronto.

I pieced together disease treatments with simpler methods than those I had learned in classical homeopathy.

But it wasn’t until my fellowships with Drs. Banerji in Calcutta in 2013 and again in 2014 that I learned and honed skills that are reproducible.

This is when I became an advocate for their relatively simple, straightforward homeopathy methods.

I can’t tell you what a turn-on this is for me as a homeopath, mother and educator.

Let me give you examples of how this works for indigestion and certain pains after eating.

1)   If someone experiences reflux (another name for chronic indigestion) that presents after taking antibiotics, even years later, the remedy Iris ver 200, taken twice daily for a few months, will for many, get rid of the problem. I don’t mean that the symptoms are held back.

2)   If there is only occasional indigestion, a better choice might be Natrum phos 6X. This would be used as needed, say a dose every hour while the indigestion is active. Again, symptoms are no longer needed because the illness has resolved.

3)    Nux vomica 30C would be a good pick for someone who suffers after eating junk food. This would be taken every hour or so until the indigestion calms down. If the remedy is well-chosen, indigestion will be gone.

4)    For a colicky baby, one of my favorite remedy combinations that I learned from the Banerjis is Nux vomica 30C, mixed with Colocynthis 200C, twice daily. Sleeping baby instead of screaming baby.

Each of these examples (and there are 9 more just for indigestion, depending on how it presents in symptoms) would be considered after antibiotic poisoning.

And, yes, I call it poisoning because illness that is caused by a substance would have to be categorized as poisoning.

  • If you want to get off the ever-more-restrictive diet conveyor belt…

  • If you want to know the how (how to do this), why (why this method is superior to drugs) and where (where to purchase these remedies) …

  • If up want to learn a life-changing method to cure your family yourself …

If you don’t want to learn more, at least jot down my above protocols and call it a day.

What lit my flame in learning these protocols was having observed and recorded 5,528 live cases at the Prasanta Banerji Homeopathic Research Foundation in Calcutta, right in the thick of their clinic. I returned home and categorized every one of those cases into specific rules.

(I still can’t believe I did all of that but loved every moment of it.)

I’m bursting at the seams to share this with Americans, Europeans and the rest of the world…Most importantly families.

So, if this excites you as it did me in Calcutta, come along with me.

Let me share this with you.  You owe it to yourself to at least take a look. Click here …

… so that you can undo the damage created by modern medicine’s methods and cure your family of stuff that has stumped allopathic doctors for years.

For those of you who want to know more about the effects of antibiotics on our health, I’ve compiled a few resources. Every one of these conditions and how to treat them will be covered in my course:

  • Research reported in the journal Rheumatic Disease Clinics of North America suggests that the use of antibiotics, no matter how many decades previous, influences the development of conditions such as Crohn’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis and other joint abnormalities. The use of antibiotics produces changes in the gut membrane that allow food antigens and bacteria to enter the bloodstream and cause the white blood cells to attack the joint tissue.
  • In his book Childhood Ear Infections, Dr. Michael Schmidt states, “The trend in bacterial development of antibiotic resistance is not unlike the increasing resistance of agricultural pests to pesticides.”
  • Drug resistance within intestinal flora:  http://aac.asm.org/cgi/content/abstract/31/4/587

Joette laughingI am a homeopath with a worldwide practice working with families and individuals via Zoom. I'm also a teacher and most importantly, a mom who raised my now-adult children depending on homeopathy over the last 31 years. I lived decades of my life with food intolerances, allergies, and chemical sensitivities until I was cured with homeopathy, so I understand pain, anxiety, and suffering. You may feel that your issues are more severe or different than anyone else’s, but I have seen it all in my practice and in my work in India. My opinion is that nothing has come close to the reproducible, safe and effective results that my clients, students and I have achieved with homeopathy.

Call today and learn how homeopathy might just be the missing piece in your health strategy.

Joette is not a physician and the relationship between Joette and her clients is not of prescriber and patient, but as educator and client. It is fully the client's choice whether or not to take advantage of the information Joette presents. Homeopathy doesn't "treat" an illness; it addresses the entire person as a matter of wholeness that is an educational process, not a medical one. Joette believes that the advice and diagnosis of a physician is often in order.

  1. Ms. A says:

Have you ever treated anyone for fluoroquinolone toxicity?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I don’t believe that it matters what type of antibiotic was used. The symptoms would direct us to the remedy choice.

  2. Amanda says:

I recently had to take a course of antibiotics for a kidney infection. I didn’t want to, and try to avoid them whenever possible, but I couldn’t find any information on what to use homeopathically. Is there a protocol you would recommend for kidney infections should I ever have one again?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

It is difficult to get this kind of information when you’re in a crises, so it is prudent to plan ahead. However, when it comes to a kidney infection, its best to meet with a seasoned homeopath even in advance who can take your case fully.

Thank you very much for your enlightening Article!
I am going to translate it into Marathi for the benefit of my (Marathi speaking) patients in Pune, Maharashtra State, India.
Well, while referring to any health-related issue on my Facebook account, I strongly suggest / recommend homeopathic measures that can tackle any specific health problem. Some people appreciate my Post and consult the homeopath in their locality. But some respectable individuals put a variety of comments like : “Idiot” , “Homeopathy is just a distilled water”, “This is a spam!” …etc. And I am now accustomed to all these comments!
[If you give me something, and I don’t take it, you will have to take it back! – Buddha.]
Anyway, I thank you again from my heart and sincerely request you to add more & more to my knowledge!
    Regards, Chandrakant Kulkarni.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I wouldn’t call someone respectable nor even scientific who has a mind that is closed to anything in medicine. We so desperately need medicine of integrity in our world.

Most of my homeopathy training was accumulated in the U.S. and Canada, but it is your exciting country that has influenced my work in the last 3 years. It is Drs. Banerji who have touched my life so that I can touch others across the globe.

My mission is to spread the word and your work will help me do this. I am honored to have you on our side.

I always appreciate what you have to say; I just wish we had the financial means to access some more of your webinars/seminars. I know you have to make a living, but it is just beyond our reach, even with payments. Thank you for sharing some of your tips. I do glean from them. God bless.

I understand your predicament, which is why I write these weekly blogs. If you keep a record of them, in the long run, you’ll essentially have a course for free. Feel free to download and print them and pass them on to others who might not be able to afford courses.

PS I have cd’s and their scripts on my site for considerably less than my courses. IF you’e so inclined, listen to them in the car and learn. Its the way I began my study of homeopathy 27 years ago.

God bless you and your family.

    Dear Joette,

The calc flour 12x is difficult to find even though Scheussler slta do recommend the 12x potency. Any recommendations? Thank you for your powerful teaching!!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Try Amazon. But, if you can’t find 12 x, consider 6x and get it from Hyland’s either directly or from Amazon , or other online sources like Swanson’s.

  8. Renee says:

I am so happy to be learning all of this and have been able to refuse antibiotics for my kids. When I was younger I was put on antibiotics for everything and it is great to be able to have the know how to turn all that around years afterward. Thank you for providing this course.

  9. Cathy says:

It IS amazing how freely antibiotics are prescribed. Homeopathy has saved many dollars – and guts 🙂 – for me and my children over the years! Thanks for the good info!

  10. Megan says:

Ok will get as soon s I figure money out! I was just saying on vacation that someday I will eat dairy again and it will be because of Homeopathy that I can. however Im not so sure it was aint bionics. They may have played a part. have talking them ago 6 times in my 44 yrs. last night was about 7 yrs ago. I noticed that dog allergy followed hib b shot. altho I did have anti bionics right about sometime too. so could be both. As kid I got bee allergy shots..anouther allergy… and had dairy issues then. got better after yrs off them. then had half the round as adult. The Lord saw fit to stop the shots by taking our insunrce away. Praise God He did!!!!!!!! I was getting so sick! so this is what I been hoping to learn. I love diary. we even found raw milk now but I can’t even do that right now. however with God al things are possible! Thanks

  11. Carey says:

Is there a homeopathic treatment for h. pylori? In a case where stomach acid is sufficient? I keep hearing from even the “natural” docs– antibiotics, antibiotics… Thanks!

  12. Rajdeep Das says:

Is iris very 200 a good remedy for acidity and pain after eating as well? If not please suggest a good remedy.Thanks.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I think of Iris specifically for indigestion. I actually like Nat phos 6x before each meal for acidity.

      1. Shakhnoza says:

Is iris for an indigestion that is caused only by antibiotics or any form of indigestion?

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

The cause is not the key factor; indigestion is.

          1. Nakita says:

What are your thoughts on infant reflux and Nat phos or any other remedy? I have gone through many of my books for homeopathy, specifically for infants and mothers and can’t seem to find one that discuss infant reflux or silent reflux. My 3 month old seems to have a number of issues with reflux
            Thank you.

          2. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

NP is one of our best remedies for reflux, for all ages.
Don’t get caught up in adjectives. Simply use the name of the condition: reflux, whether silent or infant.

  13. Lori says:

Can one cause more problems by trying different remedies on themselves that don’t end up being the right remedy to address the issues that brought them to a remedy to begin with?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Yes. That’s why we say homeopathy is relatively safe. It must be used with respect and judiciously.

  14. Karen says:

When he was younger my son had antibiotics for ear infections, inhalers for pneumonia and Zantac for reflux. Now at 14 he son was diagnosed with severe lactose intolerance, H Pylori and reflux again. The gastro prescribed 3 different antibiotics to be taken all at once for the H Pylori. I refused. He now has a rattling cough that’s lasted about a month and was just allergy tested, which only showed he was allergic to dust mites. The allergist wants him to take an inhaler for 2 weeks to calm down the cough and take Nexium to calm down the reflux which he thinks may be causing the cough. I don’t want to do either of those but he can’t sleep at night because of the cough and is falling asleep in school. I’ve tried Ant Tart for the cough which helps but it keeps returning. I will try the Iris ver 200c, but he needs immediate relief, Any other suggestion?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

This is a rather involved situation that requires my either taking the case personally or you putting some time into a course to learn the method. Should you opt for a course, Good Gut Bad Gut would be the most appropriate.

  15. Constance Kight says:

Joette, my husband has chronic acid reflux, but have no idea it it was antibiotic induced or not. He takes priolosec everyday and I know that it is affecting his kidneys. Made his back ache so he went to one every other day. Now his ankle is swelling and is sore (gout?) Will the Nat phos 6x help him and what should the dose be?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

!st let me say that its not important to know if a condition is induced by a drug other than to teach us to stay away from using such again in the future.

Will Nat phos help your husband? It would be difficult to predict what will or will not make a difference in his case. Also, if you’re asking me how many pills comprise a dose, the directions are printed on the side of the bottle.

  16. Dawn says:

Really need help for a friend .. can you help with c-diff…???

    1. Courtney Ingham says:

Homeopathy has a reputation for correcting C-diff.

  17. Dawn N says:

My husband was put on penicillin at age 5, for 13 years for a preventative measure because they thought he had rheumatic fever and they didn’t want it to come back. You can imagine the intestinal problems he had, until we got married and I started finding out how to heal his gut. We have made wonderful strides but he isn’t fully healed. He can’t sleep at night because he belches when he lies down, along with shoulder pain. I need to take the coarse, but in the mean time any thoughts on what I can give him to help? Thank you for any help, Dawn

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

The best way to approach this is with a multi-pronged method and it is taught in my class, Good Gut Bad Gut. Good job in helping him make corrections so far.

  18. Robbie says:

Hi. What do you recommend for C. Diff and reflux together?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

The symptoms matter but C-Diff is best met with N.V. So if the symptoms align with NV, its a good fit.

  19. kim says:

I know the banjeri protocol for acid reflux is the liquid iris ver and lycopodium.. would I attain similar benefit from the pill form? My acid has made my throat ragged and makes me feel like there is something in the back of my throat all the time when i swallow and hope to reverse this using the right protocol..please advise..I have had it diagnosed with a barium swallow test. thank you.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

When liquid is not available, pills often work just as well.

  20. Aly says:

Please help! Our baby has had severe eczema for close to 4 months now, which started to show up after 3 months of age. She is so uncontrollably itchy & she can’t sleep well & the eczema is often red & inflamed with bumps & tiny blisters that weep. We have had her tested with Advanced Allergy Theraputics & she has quite a few food & environmental etc. allergies that we have treated to “fix” them. There were also a few allergies that showed on a blood test which I am avoiding (she is exclusively breastfed). Her eczema has been infected with staph & strep for over three months & now it appears to be MSSA. We had tried mupirocin antibiotic cream as the first ND prescribed but it didn’t work. We’ve also been using Medihoney nightly as well as antibacterial baby-safe, properly diluted essential oils & other oils like neem & sea buckthorn & coconut. In addition we’ve used some herbs like turmeric & matcha. On a side note, the first two months of life she would scream uncontrollably for hours just about every night for the first two months of life. I was told I needed IV antibiotics for being GBS positive which I had injected through IV about 3.5 hours before giving birth. We’re assuming this is what has caused such horrible allergies & eczema because the rest of the pregnancy was good. I’ve also had lots of antibiotics in the past & have lots of allergies too. The first ND we saw had us try graphites 3 pellets once a day for a little over a month, with no improvement. The next ND had us give her a healthy skin homeopathic remedy 3 drops 3-5 times daily she said was completely safe for over a month, with no improvement. It had things like cham, merc sol, sulph, ant, silic, etc. all 30c. These seemed to make baby spit up more. We are at a loss for what to do & don’t want to do antibiotics or steroid creams & cause more harm & long term damage. Any help you can offer would be wonderful! Thank you!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I’m sorry but I don’t take cases on this forum. If you’re interested in speaking to me directly, feel free to contact my office.

      1. Aly says:

I found your list of 18 different options for remedies for antibiotic poisoning & I’m just trying to decide which is best and how to go about giving it to our 6 month old. I have almost no experience with homeopathy & after researching all the options, it’s very hard to figure out the best choice or choices. We’re desperate but we don’t have any money left from all the medical expenses we’ve had. Calendula would be helpful for the skin infections, so maybe use this topically in addition to taking one or more of the other remedies internally? And I can’t figure out if Arsenicum album, apis, lycopodium, sulphuric acidum, natrum phos, or thuja occidentalis would be best looking at her symptoms. I also couldn’t find info on sulfa. And would we need to start with camphor as I read in one of your articles? She got antibiotics 3.5 hours before birth via an IV to me & she previously had digestive issues (now she goes 6-8 times daily), has food & environmental allergies/sensitivity, & severe whole body, very itchy, dry, red eczema that gets tiny blisters that ooze fluid when rubbed, bleeds when scratched, is even more itchy when we take off the clothes covering the area, seems more itchy at night & early morning hours & when lying down on bed or futon & when she’s hot. The itching makes her very weepy & irritable. She was previously allergic to dairy including human milk until getting treated with AAT. Any suggestions in the right direction would help tremendously! Thank you!

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

What you’re describing is an entire case and I don’t take them on this forum. If you’re looking to find something inexpensive, I urge you to join my study group, Gateway to Homeopathy, where you’ll not only learn how to go about treating this but you’ll get opinions of others on the student forums.

        2. Christina says:

Amy, did you have antibiotics during your labor with her?

      2. Aly says:

Okay, thank you. I think we will do camphora 200c to reset & topical calendula oil. If we try starting with Arsenicum album & antimonium crud per the banerji protocol for itchy eczema & allergies/sensitivities, is it safe to give infants the 6c twice daily as listed in the protocol or should it be 30c twice daily till symptoms resolve? I believe you said a dose for infants is usually 2 pellets if adult dose is 4, so I assume 2 pellets twice daily of whichever potency is best for infants. Also maybe add in the aethusa since she was previously allergic to all forms of milk? How often do you do this?

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

If you are the mom with the baby who is 8 months old, you must read my blog called “Stop it!”. For a child who is under 1 year Camphor is not used. Its only for those older than 1 year. Given the complexity of your questions, I urge you to join one of my study groups alled Gateway to Homeopathy (super inexpensive) or take my skin course.

      3. Aly says:

Yes. She is almost 7 months. Okay, that is good to know camphor cannot be used until a year old, thank you so much for the info! I re-read “Stop it”. So you would start with sulphur to clear out drugs before moving to the banerji eczema protocol? I just bought sulphur 6x, would one dose of that for one day be correct? I’ve read tons of your articles & from what I’m piecing together, the Arsenicum album 6 would be part of the protocol to reverse antibiotic poisoning/allergies & the antimonium crud 6 would help with the very itchy eczema. You had also talked about aethusa for milk allergies and bovista for gluten allergies. And I’ve read that sulphur 6x can be good for eczema too as well as calendula 30c for infections. I’m just trying to figure out dosing & how to use each remedy.

I will look into the forum again, I wasn’t sure how it worked, but it looked like I would need to find others to join a group with me?

      4. Aly says:

I also just found that you recommend hepar sulph 200 for infected eczema but it doesn’t say how often so maybe once daily at a separate time than the twice daily ars alb + ant crud and separate from aethusa 200 daily? When would you choose bovista 200 instead of aethusa 200, if there are known gluten allergies as well? And I’m not sure about adding in calc carb 200 for assumed immunity issues? How many different medicines should be done daily? And maybe infants can’t be given anything to clear the slate from previous antibiotics? I assume to do hepar sulph until signs of infection like weeping & inflammation disappear & continue with the rest for 6 weeks until evaluating to make sure the right remedies were given? Sorry for all the questions, I am trying so hard to research all this information as much as I can & avoid toxic conventional treatments & do what’s best for our children but I don’t know anyone who knows anything about homeopathy & I have never used homeopathy on my own but want to start asap. Also, do you recommend the Banerji protocols book?

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Your questions are good ones but would require that I teach a course on how to go about doing this. That’s why I offer courses; so that these specific questions will be answered. For infections, my new course, The Antibiotic Alternative. For skin conditions, Skin, the Ugly Truth. For food intolerances, Good Gut Bad Gut.

      5. Aly says:

I would absolutely love to take all those courses! I really do want to learn all of this because it’s currently quite confusing since I have basically no experience with homeopathy & no books on the subject. I am just a stay at home mom taking care of my children & right now we can’t even afford our living expenses because of all the unforeseen health bills with these issues we have been trying to resolve for the last four months.

So let’s just say we do the Banerji protocol for itchy eczema, maybe add in another one or two remedies for allergies at separate times in the day, we just continue what we decided on for 6 weeks before evaluating any improvement or do we look for proving along the way to avoid any new symptoms that could come on from the wrong remedy choices?

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

When using the protocols I teach, the wrong remedy choice is not as likely if the diagnosis is correct.

      6. Aly says:

Does Arsenicum album deal with food allergies/sensitivities at all? And does antimonium crud help with inability to sleep due to itchiness & irritability & crying because the eczema?

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Both have the ability to cover the conditions you describe but I don’t consider them my top choices for such unless there’s a specific rationale for their use.

      7. Aly says:

Would it be appropriate to add in coffea 200 once daily to the itchy eczema protocol then to deal with inability to sleep & crying due to itchiness? And bovista 200 every other day to address food & environmental allergies?

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I don’t know what you mean by “add in” because I don’t see what else you’re considering, but Coffea and Bovista with the rationales you’ve come to are sound.

      8. Aly says:

Thank you. By add in I meant to the ars alb 6 + ant crud 6 twice daily for itchy eczema & HS 200 once daily for infected eczema until I don’t see any more weeping which is a sign of infection.

And no eating or drinking for 30 minutes prior & following a remedy? Also, I’m having a hard time administering pellets to an infant. Any recommendations?

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Yes, that sounds like a plan.we like to see at least 10 min. separation and up to 30 minutes.
you may purchase homeopathics in water, alcohol, lactose pills or mash them in a little water.

      9. Aly says:

Wonderful, thank you so much! And leave at least 30 minutes between giving each separate remedy? Also, why do you recommend bovista 200 every other day rather than every day for allergies since it takes so long to see results?

And can I make my own water dilution with the remedies? We already have the pellets but she likes to spit them out or swallow them right away so they’re not dissolving in her mouth.

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Its not a problem if she swallows them.
You may make your own in water.

      10. Aly says:

Does the water remedy stay good for a couple days before having to remake? Also, why do you usually recommend bovista 200 every other day for allergies rather than daily? Would it not work faster if used daily?

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I’m wondering why you’re adding your remedy to water.
More is not better when it comes to homeopathy. The protocol is usually E.O.D. becuase that shows the best results.
Don’t expect quick results when it comes to food intollerances or allergies.

      11. Aly says:

Okay, great, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I find it much easier to give our baby a 1 tsp syringe of the solution rather than having to worry about her spitting out the pellets or chocking, if that’s possible. I also read that it’s better to put pellets in water & shake it up before taking each time because the potency is slightly different & better utilized by the body & that’s what Hahnemann recommended. The article is here: http://www.alchemilla.com/index.php/homeopathic-medicine-mainmenu-33/14-hahnemanns-lm-and-water-potencies

        Is this not the case?

      12. Aly says:

If Washington Homeopathic doesn’t have Arsenicum album in 6c potency, is 7c okay for the Banerji eczema protocol or would 12x be equivalent? I’m trying to find a good bulk price for these remedies we’ll likely be using for months for our children…the little boiron tubes are going way too fast.

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I don’t have any experience with using the substitutes you mentioned. If you’re a client or student of mine, you get the exact potencies via the pharmacy we work and it includes a discount.

      13. Aly says:

Is it possible for homeopathic remedies to suppress symptoms & cause future, more serious issues? For example, if arnica 6c was used to “cure” eczema. Also, why do some homeopaths recommend just one dose or a few doses of a remedy for chronic issues & then stopping to see any results in days or weeks after taking it & are against daily long term use for chronic issues?

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

They use a different system than I use/teach, with a different understanding of posology. I urge you to join one of our study groups, Gateway to Homeopathy so that you get a better picture of what/how I teach.

          And Arnica for eczema?

          1. Aly says:

Okay, so you believe it is necessary to use continual dosing for chronic issues at least 6-8 weeks minimum & until the issue resolves if improving?

There are testimonies of people using arnica 6c to quickly heal chronic cases of eczema & even cellulitis in just days or a few weeks, but some are concerned that homeopathy can also suppress symptoms & drive issues deeper, such as causing asthma down the road. Is this possible?

          2. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Anything is possible, but I’d question they’re data. No one.. allow me to repeat….no one has data like the Banerjis.

      14. Aly says:

So if it is possible for homeopathic remedies to suppress symptoms & drive issues deeper, I’m confused as to how this is different than what steroids do…? How can we ensure we’re not causing this same kind of harm & future problems?

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

The reason homeopathy does not do what steroids do is becuase it is not allopathy. To know more, you must read, take courses and join groups. I can not offer a chapter out of my courses, nor an entire study of homeopathy in a concise 2 sentence refutation on a blog.

      15. Aly says:

So you are saying if one follows the Banerji protocols for issues, there is no chance of suppressing symptoms, but outside of that, there is a possibility for homeopathy to suppress symptoms & not uproot the deeper issue?

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I don’t adhere to the theory that illness is suppressed by using the wrong homeopathic whether using Banerji protocols or classical.

      16. Aly says:

Great! From your experience, how long does it usually take after using coffea 200 once nightly for an infant to start sleeping & not be distressed/crying due to intensely itchy, whole body eczema? And how long after beginning ant crud 6 does it typically take for an infant to get relief from the constant, intense itch?

      17. Aly says:

Does coffea 200 address frequently crying, distress, & irritability along with sleeplessness due to itching or would chamomilla 30 or 200 have to be added in for that component?

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

You’re moving in the right direction to ask this, but I urge you to source a materia medica and read each remedy you hope to differentiate. It will substantiate the key notes and help you make choices between one medicine and another. More than one may be used but you’re correct in wanting to tighten that choice up.

      18. Aly says:

Okay, great. I’m thinking chamomilla 200 because she cries constantly now every time she is set down, even upon apprehending being set down just for a diaper change. She always wants to be carried & with me, no one else or she gets sad when she sees me. She has had mainly green liquidy or choppy stools for the last couple months as well. She’s also refusing to sit or stand at this point.

On another note, since beginning the medicines we noticed she seems to have more gas & be sweating more at night on her head so her hair/head have begun to smell bad (like sweet yet smelly pea soup or something… hard to describe), even with washing it with water & a cloth daily now. Could hepar sulph or ars alb be causing this (proving)?

  21. Aly says:

I forgot to add, she has been taking good probiotics for the last 3 months & I take probiotics too, and sometimes even apply the powder topically to her skin as well as taking fermented cod liver oil & we may start a digestive enzyme too. Everything has just been so expensive and we can’t afford all the huge expenses we have incurred with this health issue & insurance doesn’t cover alternative treatments.

  22. Chris Ahern says:

If Ars alb 6 plus Ant tart 6 dont work, try Bryonia 6 followed by Ars alb 6 a few mins later then Rhus tox 6 one hour later plus Mezereum 6 as needed for itching as needed.

  23. Bea says:

Hi Joette, I bought the Banerji Protocol Book, and it often prescribes homeopathic remedies in liquid form, such as for reflux. Is the Iris Versicolor 200C in pellets just as good as in liquid?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

If you hope to enjoy the results the Banerji’s and I witness, stick to the directions.

  24. Sarah says:

How would a person know that a symptom was a result of antibiotic poisoning?

  25. Dolores Guertin says:

Hi Joette, first time posting here. I have been interested in homeopathy for a long time now. Due to prophylactic antibiotic use for 2/3 of my life (62 yrs old), steroids for asthma, BCP starting at 16 yrs old, heavy pain meds and tylenol use due to spinal injury and many accidents. I could go on and on. Truth is one problem has created another in alternate organs and systems in my body. Currently dealing with violent diarrhea 6 mo (lost 25 lbs), food sensitives, MCS, very low energy, elevated liver enzymes with matching symptoms. Taking a lot of supps and living out of a juicer and blender. Despite my best efforts to stay hydrated, very dehydrated. My veins collapse with attempts of IV hydration or required lab work. I am house-bound 6 mo.
I so want to feel better and get control over my health, drs dont know what to do with multiple conditions incl autoimmune conditions etc. Because I have a lot to address, wondering where to start. I have been taking a lot of homeopathy, pretty much every 15, when Im not eating, drinking or sleeping. I would be interested in meeting up with you or someone you can highly recommend in resolving complex chronic issues. I too have financial difficulties lately, as many folks on the post (I guess you hear that a lot), but I need to get better, and would like to hear your suggestions. Really must pace myself, not sure I have the energy to take a course right now. Thank you for listening <3D

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I’m sorry that you’re suffering so. As you know, I don’t take cases on this forum. If you’re not prepared to take a course, I urge you to google my name with the name of the condition and find an article that I’ve written that most closely relates to the condition. I’ve written on the subject of diarrhea that you may find helpful.

  26. Bethany says:

Hi there, I’ve got a sweet newborn 1 month, with a sour start – colicky. For remedies to help with colic/reflux, do you recommend giving directly to the baby or through mom taking and breast milk? She had antibiotics in the NICU (cue mama tears for her new gut), would Iris homeopath be appropriate for her to take directly?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

Homeopathics are administered directly to who is in need of them.
