Sending your child off to college requires a lot of preparation and packing.

Kali phos?

Wait … what?

Don’t let your college student leave without the “Back to School” cell salt, Kali phos. If your child has already left for school, send it as a surprise care package!

When I sent my sons off to school, I made sure they each had a bottle of this priceless cell salt with them. It’s invaluable for the mental stress college students invariably experience.

Why? Because Kali phos is a nerve nutrient — primarily focused on central nervous conditions. On my CD, Cell Salts; the Easy Homeopathy, I discuss the importance of this medicine for general wellbeing and a contented disposition, as well as the sharpening of mental abilities.

I’ve called it the “happy cell salt”. But it could also be called the “smart cell salt” as well. (If professors knew this, they might choose to keep a big bowl of Kali phos on their desks for their students!)

Symptoms calling for Kali phos include feeling ill-humored, lazy, irritable, or over-fatigued yet experiencing insomnia — as a result of mental over-exertion.

Kali phos is tailor-made for intense studying. If your child is worrying about upcoming exams? Kali phos. If your child complains she can’t remember what she just finished studying? Kali phos. If your child calls to say, “If I could JUST SLEEP!!!” That’s Kali phos.

And before I forget, if your child is a student athlete, Kali phos is also helpful for physical over-exertion that leads to these same symptoms.

So, how would they utilize it? Well, Kali phos 3X or 6X is generally taken twice a day for as long as the symptoms persist. If necessary, it can be used for long periods of time — as long as the stress remains. If the symptoms abate, the remedy is then discontinued until such time that the symptoms might return.

(Note: when Kali phos — also known as Kali phosphoricum or Dipotassium phosphate — is used in the 30th or 200th potency, it is still considered a cell salt. But, here we are specifically referring to its utilization in the 3rd or 6th potency. I like to use 3X, but it’s often difficult to find. In the United States, we usually find 6X readily available and of good service.)

How much more effective and efficient will your college student be when their nervous systems are bolstered, and they are less fatigued? With the high cost of college tuition these days, buying a little study “insurance” for around $12 is a no-brainer! That’s why I always say every mother should make sure their college-bound child has a bottle of Kali phos on their desk, just as my sons do! It may be the best going-away gift you could give them.

Pass on the good news of homeopathy!

Warmly,

Joette Calabrese

P.S. While we’re on the subject, if your child is away at school, be sure to send a homeopathy kit along with them. Illnesses and issues will arise while they’re away — it’s only natural. When you advise them what remedy to take, it won’t do them any good if they don’t have it on hand!

Joette laughingI am a homeopath with a worldwide practice working with families and individuals via Zoom. I'm also a teacher and most importantly, a mom who raised my now-adult children depending on homeopathy over the last 31 years. I lived decades of my life with food intolerances, allergies, and chemical sensitivities until I was cured with homeopathy, so I understand pain, anxiety, and suffering. You may feel that your issues are more severe or different than anyone else’s, but I have seen it all in my practice and in my work in India. My opinion is that nothing has come close to the reproducible, safe and effective results that my clients, students and I have achieved with homeopathy.

Call today and learn how homeopathy might just be the missing piece in your health strategy.

Joette, I sincerely appreciate this post. I’m taking 12 credits this semester and I am feeling a few of those symptoms! “What did I just read the last hour?!”
I have always wondered… do you recommend taking Hylands Bioplasma that has all 12 cell salts in it? I guess my main question is, if I take the Bioplasma – would it have the same effect for me as if I had just taken the Kali Phos?
Thanks for all you teach us,
    Shaylynne

In a pinch and other such circumstances, Bioplasma can be of use but I think its more precise to determine which cell salt/s is/are needed most and use it/them specifically.

This sounds perfect for my husband! My kids are still young, and I am still learning homeopathy and the use of other natural remedies, but my husband (a substitute teacher, currently) is having these symptoms exactly! I’ll have to get on Amazon later, as I don’t think we have this one in the house presently. Thank you, Joette, for sharing your wisdom in such an accessible style! I always have a good time reading your posts or listening to you speak on summits or podcasts. Keep up the great work!

Hi Joette. Great notes! I knew this for insomnia, but did not for the other two ideas. This is great even for back to school for other ages, maybe even for the easy distraction of not paying attention in class at tired or lazy moments. I really appreciate your posts. They’re so easy to share.

  4. Erin says:

Hi, Joette. Is it possible for Kali phos to increase chronic low potassium levels? Thank you.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

If a homeopathic is incorrectly chosen and is repeatedly administered, a proving may occur. This means that it is possible. But then anything when repeatedly used and not called for will cause such.

Thank you Joette for your faithful posts and educating so many on improving our Health. Which pharmacy do you purchase your 3X Cell Salts? Based on some of your posts we have purchased from Helios. Again thanks for all your blogs, podcasts, and social media information.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

My students, clients and I purchase from OHM Pharmacy who carry the Banerji Protocols and other unusual rems. I don’t discuss this with the general public because they sell only to clients and students.

  6. Meghan says:

How does kali phos compare to phosphoric acid? Are they similar? Different? I know you’ve also listed phos acid as an option for intellectual fatigue.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

The best way to compare and contract medicines is to refer to your materia medica and delve into both.

  7. iulia Filimon says:

Is this good for a 10 year old too? My daughter does competitive gymnastics plus of course school. Sometimes is a lot for her.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Homeopathy is used for all ages in the same potencies and frequencies.

  8. Jaime says:

I recently read an interesting recommendation to take Ferr phos and Kali phos during cold and flu season. The blogger said that she gives them to her family daily all season long to help prevent illnesses. Do you think that this time of year is enough of a reason to take these two remedies daily, or would you wait for actual symptoms?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I wouldn’t use KP for flu but it might suit her family. FP is pretty specific for respiratory infections, etc. but I prefer to use homeopathics when there is a specific need. Then again there are many ways to skin a cat.

  9. Lara Kent says:

Would this suit for my young homeschooled children (let alone, myself, who has to teach)? I feel like it would help with the peace.

  10. Tara says:

Hi Joette, I am an avid cell salt user and a student of yours, I have your materia medica on my night stand its my favorite reading. I really never knew about kali phos. we utilize cell salts 1,2,3,and 4, 10 and silca the most. I also tried the bioplasma but I dont think its for us. I prefer to focus on exacely what my family needs. Question- for daily dosing, can i put these in water? can I combine them? for example, if I have a gallon of water and i know my fmaily needs cell salt 3 and 6, can I put the pellets to dissolve in the water and drink it throughout the day? Thank you!!!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, PHom M says:

Yes,they may be added to water. Each sip from the bottle is a dose so the frequency of use is important. Generally what’s used is litre bottle, not a gallon.
