Last week Hillary Clinton, after yet another terrible coughing fit, declared that “Every time I think about Trump I get allergic.”
But is there a possibility that Trump is not the cause of every problem in contemporary America? Could there be some other factor to blame instead of Hillary’s favorite boogeyman?
It’s not just Hillary suffering from allergies. Allergies are a hot topic in the news right now… It’s ragweed season, and in many places, especially where there has been flooding; it’s also mold season.
A quick scan of the news headlines shows that back-to-school season is also the season to worry anew about the rising numbers and severity of food allergies in school children. Schools are reporting that they’re seeing the highest rates of food allergies ever.
That’s leaving them scrambling to develop new policies to not only keep children safe, but to reduce the anxiety and social hardships that go hand-in-hand with severe, often life-threatening allergies.
And then there’s the EpiPen catastrophe, with the mega increase in retail cost of these devices, which must be replaced regularly even when unused.
Some hospitals have started offering classes to help educate grandparents about children’s allergies that were relatively unheard of in their day. These classes emphasize that allergies must be taken seriously, and this can be a difficult concept for older generations to grasp because it didn’t used to be that way…the world that we live in is changing…fast.
So why are allergies and food intolerances and environmental and chemical sensitivities on the rise?
Is it Donald Trump’s fault?
Let’s put the blame where it really belongs. There are many pieces to this puzzle, but headlines this week confirm one of the most important ones; a puzzle piece that I’ve been talking about for years – antibiotic use.
Research presented earlier this week at the European Respiratory Society (ERS) International Congress in London, by Dr. Fariba Ahmadizar and his colleagues at Utrecht University, Netherlands, shows that childhood exposure to antibiotics leads to increased risk of developing allergies, asthma and eczema later in life.
The increased risk of eczema due to early-life use of antibiotics ranged from 15% to 41% and the risk of hay fever from 14% to 56%! The risk rose even higher if the child had been treated with two courses of antibiotics.
There you have it.
Now how many children do you know who have had only one course of antibiotics? One of the most common reasons children get prescribed antibiotics is for ear infections. When treated conventionally, Otitis Media tends to recur many times, resulting in the administration of several courses of antibiotics.
And it’s even worse for children who already have food allergies. According to some doctors, children who already have allergies to foods such as milk, peanuts or eggs are twice as likely to develop asthma and allergic rhinitis later in life.
We’ve got to halt this terrible trend, and the best place to start is in our own families; the best time to start is when our children are babies; and the best way to start is to choose homeopathy whenever possible, instead of antibiotics and other harmful drugs.
Are you dealing with an ear infection? Try homeopathy first instead of antibiotics:

And how about Hillary? I’m not particularly interested in helping Hillary, but I feel obliged to mention that rather than blaming her cough on Trump, she could try Ipecac 30C (Apply the discount coupon code “Joette” at check-out for an additional 20% off!), every three hours as needed, reducing to twice a day as the cough improves, as outlined in this blog article:
http://joettecalabrese.com/blog/ipecac-cough-nags-gags/
This is the first remedy I’d choose for this type of gagging cough, regardless of whether the cough is caused by allergies, cold, flu, Coumadin or Donald Trump.
But I can’t resist the observation that it’s not just her cough that is a concern.
Her politics make me gag, too.
” If you have allergies, remember that modern medicine has written you off. The CDC itself will tell you: “There is no cure for allergies. Strict avoidance of the allergen is the only way to prevent a reaction.” I lived decades living in a bubble, dealing with my allergies. Things improved whe

I am a homeopath with a worldwide practice working with families and individuals via Zoom. I'm also a teacher and most importantly, a mom who raised my now-adult children depending on homeopathy over the last 31 years. I lived decades of my life with food intolerances, allergies, and chemical sensitivities until I was cured with homeopathy, so I understand pain, anxiety, and suffering. You may feel that your issues are more severe or different than anyone else’s, but I have seen it all in my practice and in my work in India. My opinion is that nothing has come close to the reproducible, safe and effective results that my clients, students and I have achieved with homeopathy.
Call today and learn how homeopathy might just be the missing piece in your health strategy.
Joette is not a physician and the relationship between Joette and her clients is not of prescriber and patient, but as educator and client. It is fully the client's choice whether or not to take advantage of the information Joette presents. Homeopathy doesn't "treat" an illness; it addresses the entire person as a matter of wholeness that is an educational process, not a medical one. Joette believes that the advice and diagnosis of a physician is often in order.

Her politics make me gag too! LOL!!
This post just made my day, Joette! And not just because of the great remedy either 🙂
Love this post. Thanks for being the best and sharing your wisdom.
Really? Do you need to put your biased political views into your homeopathy blog? You just sound ignorant and very unprofessional with your comments no matter what candidate you are backing. There is too much of this meanness in the media, I don’t want to have to read it when I want to learn something about homeopathy.
Oh, please stop…..
I saw nothing wrong with this post. We could all use a little bit of humor, especially during the political season!
Far from ignorant, Joette is stating a viewpoint with a side of humor.
Joette, do you know the remedy for a lack of sense of humor, or acute seriousness???
PLEASE, we need to order a national supply.
One of the things I have appreciated about Joette Calabrese as she tells it like it is. I remember people being able to be honest and argue their point of view without being called names and shamed for doing so. In a way, this election is all about that very thing! Lighten up, friends ❤️
Well said Nana!
Yes, well said, Nana!
This is Joette’s blog, she can state her personal opinion if she wants to, and the last time I checked our freedom of speech hasn’t been revoked just yet.
Really? You think that is an appropriate thing to say? Joette, You should stick to homeopathy and leave politics out of your posts. I dont think the two mix at all. A big turn off.
So is your entitled juvenile ignorance. That is the thing about a blog. It is completely hers. It is your “right” go tune in, tune out or grow up.
Ha Ha….is Ipecac the remedy of choice when the person tends to blame others for their problems instead of taking responsibility? If so, that’s what Hillary needs for her cough!
LOL 🙂 Thanks for the info and for anyone who doesn’t want to read about YOUR biased political views then SHE should stop reading YOUR blog! 🙂
Is there a homeopathic for felonious behavior? A panacea for corruption? Jodi, lighten up, dear.
Politics have no place in homeopathy.
A sense of humor does.
We have some touchy folks on here, my goodness! I love Joette, she tells it like it is!
Agree!!!
Actually, politics plays a huge role in homeopathy, since it is our lawmakers backed by zealous lobbyists from large pharmaceutical companies producing toxic legislation that is leading to increased rates of allergies, asthma, autism, and general illness! Clinton is already in the pocket of pharmaceutical companies and backs all of their (mal) practices. There is a candidate who does not believe in forcing vaccinations, etc but you probably wouldn’t want to hear about it. Oh, and it’s not Johnson or Stine.
Well said Debra.
Hmmm, and why not? Her blog, her opinion. Do you need a safe zone?
I guess all those who support Joette also support the right to nasty comments. They want Joette to have her opinion but refuse it to Jodi. Respect, it goes both ways! On that note, don’t mix politics and Homeopathy. They have nothing to do with each other. Not interested in her political opinions anyways, just homeopathy.
I do support the “right” to nasty comments the difference being, and opinion that differs from yours does not make it “nasty”, and, the blog belongs to Joette, and NOT to Jodi and Sylvia. Huge difference.
Comment to Jodi–As a seasoned homeopath, a Christian and a mother, Joette has every right to state precisely what she thinks about a politician who so disgustingly supports abortion as Ms.Clinton does (not to even make mention of all the other nauseating things she supports, ugh!) It’s JOETTE’s blog, she always speaks her mind, whether it’s against the pharma industry, medical protocols and the like, and that’s what makes America and the first amendment beautiful! Enough political correctness and worrying about “meanness”, come on already! Way to go, Joette! You never pull any punches, and this is no exception! Keep up speaking the truth! Brilliantly, written, as usual!
Joette’s ability to proudly proclaim that she was a conservative, Catholic woman whom seem to have a great sense of humor, kindness, and wisdom on Dr Eric Z’s summit wanted me to join her website immediately. God Bless!
Great post. Is there a remedy for compulsive lying?
Yikes, Joette! Looks like your next blog post needs to focus on remedies for those who wander outside of their “safe zone”.
Well, I guess that my opinion will come down on the side of leaving politics out of things. Of course it is Joette’s blog and she is free to discuss whatever she wishes.
But, does expressing divisive political opinions further the cause of homeopathy? Not for me.
The choices I make in any election hinge on a number of factors, not just health and diet.
Politics is one of the most disruptive and disunifying factors in our world today. Homeopathy should be educating and elevating all of us.
The interesting thing is, if she has to leave politics out since you don’t agree, do you need her to leave out God? Some people are atheists and may be offended when she talks about God. There is no more divisive topic than medical tyranny and loss of Informed Consent in America today (because if you have no say over forced medical intervention of your own body or that of your child/ren, nothing else really matters) and that is very political! Not to mention politics has everything to do with the attempt to remove our right and ability to use Homeopathy instead of toxic, dangerous drugs.
Amen Jan!
Amen!!
Thank you for a laugh along with some good information. Some folks have seemed to be a bit uptight tonight. What is the remedy for that? Maybe putting a smile on one’s face and lighten up a bit.
This is a great article! Thank you. You always have so much good to say and I am thankful to hear from a mother who has been there and done that ahead of me, who supports and respects my calling as a mother, and boldly shares her wisdom. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for this timely blog. I also found that using cell salts along with a remedy helps to resolve the issue at hand and strengthen a person’s vital force. I read that Nat Phos cell salt can help those who have issues with food sensitivities and intolerances, perhaps because it helps to balance the person’s acidity which can make them more vulnerable to illness, allergies, etc. Schuessler’s 12 Cell Salt book is a fantastic resource book for those that want a lot of information on the specific cell salts and how they can help a person.
Wonderful article! Made me laugh. I don’t gag when I think of Hillary, though. I think of the Lord’s prayer: Lord, deliver us from evil!
Keep speaking up, Joette.
Your blog,
Your opinion,
Your freedom of speech.
I appreciate your candor! (and the remedy if I ever need it)
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this post.
Thanks Joette – loved the article – agree with your politics – refreshing in the “alternative health” arena…And to those who protest – well, live with it or find another who you feel safer and more comfortable with.
Wow. I have to say I am rather taken aback that someone I thought so professional in trying to educate the world would be so unprofessional. Reading your article actually made me want to gag, and actually I find it offensive that you would insert your politics here. It is exactly remarks like this that seem to be becoming acceptable and normal in places that should hold high standard of professionalism that will be the ultimate destruction of our society and our country. There is a time and a place for everything. And politics, especially in a NASTY divisive tone like that just isn’t it. Super disappointed. And I do mean SUPER DISAPPOINTED! It makes me wonder how divisive, judgmental, racist, biggoted, you are.
All I can say to this is WHAT THE HELL!?!? There is absolutely nothing in this post that would offend any reasonable person. Some people are just looking for reasons to be offended. Exactly what was offensive? Pointing out that Hillary had a cough? Saying Trump is not to blame for allergies? The point of the post was obviously, as always, homeopathy. This post is so ridiculous that I was not sure if it was a joke. Sadly, it probably isn’t.
Whoops, meant to say “This *comment* is so ridiculous…”
I am wondering what you think of Hillary Clinton saying that half of Donald Trump’s supporters are “Deplorable.”
Really??!!
In case you missed this. Last week, Hillary said half of Trump’s supporters are a “basket of deplorables” – meaning “racist, sexist, homophobic.”
It figures. The Left has sold their constituency on the idea that if you’re on the Right, you’re a bigot, homa-phobe, etc.
Proud deplorable here. Good work Joette, love your remedies, value your opinion.
The point of my comment is not about supporting Clinton or Trump or not. The point is this is not the place to be discussing it. It is bad enough that most social media and certainly the tv can not seem to talk about anything else. There are many health issues that people have, and to have to wade through comments that have nothing to do with it is what I find offensive. I believe people should vote however they choose. That is the point of democracy after all. I am an extremely reasonable person, hence why I am looking to homeopathy instead of mainstream American medicine.
Danielle – why is it that you get to decide what can be discussed here?
Oh, I see. I didn’t notice before that Joette had said that Hillary’s politics make her gag. Well, that’s her prerogative to state her opinion on her own blog, and I don’t see why that opinion should be found offensive. (An opinion I agree with wholeheartedly by the way.)
I happen to agree with Joette on most everything (that I’m aware of), but when I read content where I don’t agree, I try to keep an open mind, but filter the truth out of everything. I’m certainly not offended by people injecting their opinion.
Certainly, not supporting Hillary doesn’t mean being a racist, bigot, etc. Not supporting Hillary doesn’t even mean supporting Trump necessarily.
Politics i.e. politicians i.e. legislators and presidents have more influence over health issues than any other institution, industry or market segment. Danielle, if we don’t talk (honestly) about politics “here”, where exactly should we talk about politics?
Simply, grow up.
Quite simply, grow up.
” racist, bigoted you are” oh, for the love of Pete, you child. Grow up.
Bravo! It appears that in this vastly “graying” world, the only thing wrong is recognizing something as black and white and stating that something is wrong. I appreciate your blog posts and the advocate you are for homeopathy. You are a blessing to women and moms all around the world. May you continue to be strong in your views and faithful in your practice. God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind!
If we don’t want Joette to say anything then maybe Hillary should have kept her comments to politics. Joette has the same exact rights as Hillary does, doesnt she?
As for your advice Joette I heard your talk on EOR and had to thank you for all that information you gave. Keep up the great work. After reading your article here I am sold. Good humor, sound advice, great backbone, what else would we want?
Oh wow, I love your humor, yes, her politics are horrible! LOL when we get our home sold I am taking your classes and I cannot wait. Thank you for offering the help and free articles, I have two very sick people in our family and reading all we can. We homeschooled for 19 years and as I have always told our children we never stop learning!
Thank you so much!
Everyone has a right to their own opinion. Every four years you have to make a decision on who you want to vote for. And you have to decide who’s policies, voting records, and behaviors you like the most! Just because you don’t like someone’s choice doesn’t give you the right or responsibility to call them out on it and use unkind words to describe someone’s character! It makes me so sad to see how no longer we show grace and kindness to others when they think differently from ourselves! And try to belittle someone with name calling! The sad truth is that your being a bully by trying to falsely accuse Joette of something she isn’t. Just because she doesn’t care for a candidate running for president. And that’s what is wrong with this country! If someone’s voices a different opinion from yours instead of respecting that person and moving on and not saying anything back. Oh no…. We feel the need to belittle and accused them of being a horriable person! All because we don’t respect anyone’s opinions if it doesn’t line up to our own opinions! Such a sad way to live!
What another helpful great article! So happy to see who’s not getting your vote this election! ?
I sincerely hope that Hillary Clinton recovers from her pneumonia because it is awful to have it. I do not support her at all. If anyone does, I suggest that you watch the movie, 13 Hours. I was so disgusted at how our government handled the whole situation in Benghazi.
Unbelievable!!
In regard to coughs, I have a crackly lower respiratory cough that has ebbed and flowed for the past few years after a major flu bug. I now only have recurrence after days where chemtrails have been bad in my area. I use a lower respiratory tincture to ease the congestion, but as you say Joette, sometimes herbs just don’t “root it out.” Any suggestions?
I loved the blog, thank you for reminding me of IPECAC for a cough, even an allergy driven one. I love the Hillary banter, she makes me gag too? What’s the remedy for that? LOL
Gagging from her rhetoric is still likely Ipecac.
Is there a remedy for pathological lying? LOL
Why would any one need to wonder rather someone is a bigot, racist, just because they don’t care for a candidate? The run for presidency is based on the most votes! Just because someone disagrees with you doesn’t give you the right or responsibility to accused them of being a certain way! That really is bullying. What ever happened to respecting other people’s opinions with grace and kindness. It’s ok to disagree with someone. But… To attack someone’s character over it is so sad! Another informative and helpful article! Thanks for taking your precious time to help educate us on homeopathy!
I fully support and agree with your opinion of Hillary. Glad you had the courage to write this post. I was pleasantly surprised. Too many of us are bullied by the left into keeping quiet about her making us gag. Most truth telling causes the left to scream sexism where none exists.
Love the article, great information that we can tuck away for our “allergy cough” …like most of the rest who have responded, I gag every time Hillary opens her mouth.
I don’t. I just find that everywhere we go there seems to be nonstop divisive chatter. If I were to go researching how to research a quilt I wouldn’t expect to find such discussion, and I wish it weren’t here either. Perhaps I do wish there were a safe zone I suppose. As I just got drawn into exactly the kind of divisive talk I don’t like. I apologize. I can do better. I will leave this discussion with a quote from George W. Bush “Too often we judge other groups by their worst examples while judging ourselves by our best intentions.”
Love your post!!!!!
Wow!! What a can of worms you opened! I loved that post, as always spot on. I find it ironic that people are criticizing you for speaking your mind and voicing your opinion and yet isn’t that what they are doing by complaining about your post? Isn’t that the beauty of freedom of speech? Isn’t it funny that people scream and shout tolerance until you disagree with them. They become quit intolerant then. Shame on you people. Joette is more then homeopathy and how dare you tell her she’s unprofessional by voicing her opinions. Joette is personal and I wouldn’t want to listen to someone who isn’t.
I’m touched by the warm and supportive comments I’ve received. Many thanks to all of you for your enthusiasm.
We need to be prepared to defend our morals and ideals.
But here’s my underlying point: Some say there are over 6,000 homeopathic medicines on the market today and if you want to learn a good handful for your family and circumstances, its best to know some off the top of your head.
I’ll wager that you all will not ever forget the remedy Ipecac for a gagging cough.
Just think of Hillary and you’ll recall this post.
God bless!
Warmly,
Joette
You are an amazing lady! Keep up the great work!
I love your guts, Joette! 🙂
Seriously people me thinks it is the right of the blog writer to write what they wish, (please do not criticize the incorrect grammar it is written deliberately). It is up to the reader to do their own mental editing as they read, ignore what they don’t agree with and take on board the information that they may find useful. If it gets to the point where you find you are ignoring more than you are taking on board it is time to stop reading that particular persons blog. Pretty simple really.
I think it is really easy to loose sight of the bigger picture, the information regarding homeopathy we all gain from reading Joette’s blog. Anyone who has read the blog and the following comments will I have no doubt, no trouble remembering that Ipecac is good for nagging, gagging coughs. Job done, point made.
Love your article about allergies but not your politics nor your hate.
Hahaha! “Hate”, how ridiculous and over-the-top. Seriously? How is what Joette said any worse than what Hillary said? Get a grip.
I’ve gleaned many wise truths from Joette. And, one of the lessons the Joette has often shared from Dr. Banerji is how important it is to love all your patients and treat everyone with respect. I cannot recall which class Joette retracted the term “neurotic” to describe someone, lest it come across as less than positive or offend someone. So, I must admit, that I am rather surprised by the tone in this week’s blog.
What do you think now Elaine, after all of the Wikileaks are coming out? What do you think now after seeing all the poor Haitians protesting how the Clinton Foundation stole from their country? Have you seen “Clinton Cash”? It seems to me that Joette’s very mild comments are gentle-as-a-lamb in tone when you compare them to the crime and deceitfulness of what the Clintons have done. I am proud of Joette. Everyone who has a public platform SHOULD be speaking out against these things.
You go, Elaine!
Her politics make me gag too. HIS politics make me gag as well. Heck, all of the politics and media coverage – especially this year – makes me downright nauseous. (I’ll bet Joette has something for that as well :o)
The bigger issue here (in my opinion anyway) isn’t the insignificant difference between what the politicians say during a campaign – but rather what they’ll do after elected. What they “SAY” is irrelevant. They’ll say anything just to sway the polls, get the donations, and ultimately win the election. Once elected, they’ll “DO” only that which the system allows them to do … only that which congress, or the corporate lobbyists, or their 2-party system allows them to do. Which is – more often than not – very little to nothing, and typically results in more harm than good.
Joette has touched on some very significant (and scary) trends in this country relative to our overall health and immune disorders. Part of it is – as Joette points out – related to our abuse of antibiotics. It also has a great deal to do with our modern diet and sedentary lifestyles. Our diet is plagued by scientific and technological breakthroughs that compromise our soil, our food, and our ability to digest that food. The use of chemical pesticides, herbicides, fungicides … glyphosate … GMOs … hybrid foods that cause gluten intolerance and chemical processes like HFCS that cause insulin intolerance. Etc. There are several very serious and rapidly worsening trends that either are or soon will be irreversible.
Is ANY politician talking about these trends? No! Nor will they. It conflicts with the underlying policies and ideologies of both Clinton, Trump and Capital Hill. It conflicts with the only world they know how to exist in — the world of corporatism and crony-capitalism.
THAT makes me gag !!
Loved the article and your sense of humor Joette! It certainly gets the point across. There has been a lot of Ipecac used lately in our home.
Joette- you are a wonderful educator and a woman after my own heart where Billary is concerned :o)
Wow, I always read all the comments after reading your blog, there is where I find some real gems and learn even more about homeopathy. Really disappointed with all the trash talk on this one, so disrespectful to our homeopathic teacher. Let’s get back to taking in knowledge, take the points you like and leave behind the parts you don’t. Who was it that said “you can’t please all of the people all of the time”… when it comes to politics and religion people seem to be ‘packing heat’ or carrying a hangmans noose! Didn’t learn much about homeopathy in these comments at all.
Oh my! I will now always remember that Ipecac 30C is for a gagging cough! I laughed and laughed and enjoyed this post so much! Your sense of humor is priceless. Thank you, Joette!
Cattiness is cruel, not cute. Check your misogyny.
If a woman can’t shoulder criticism and collapses labeling it misogyny, it speaks loudly for her ability to handle the rigor of public office, let alone life.
Having said this, the best homeopathic for your hypersensitivity and easily offended continence is Ignatia 200, twice daily.
Buck up.
