In August of 2015 I wrote an article “5 Reasons To Own A Homeopathy Kit.” We have updated that great blog with more photos and, as always, a few helpful medicines:

https://joettecalabrese.com/blog/5-reasons-to-own-a-homeopathy-kit-and-my-favorite-remedy-for-soft-tissue-infections/

With the recent controversy involving Hyland’s Teething Tablets—where Hyland’s voluntarily decided to pull their tablets out of US markets due to the FDA—I was once again reminded how important it is to own your own homeopathy kit. https://joettecalabrese.com/blog/trick-and-treating-with-our-teething-tablets/

It has been reported that there are over 6,000 different homeopathic medicines available in the world. I believe that most families who expect to treat their families with homeopathy ought to own anywhere from 100 to 200 medicines.  That would include the top most frequently used, such as those found in homeopathy kits, plus those specific to your family’s needs.

If you want to be prepared, its the only way to be so.  In the past, I would recommend that everyone own at least the Top 100 Remedy Kit (one that carries mostly 30C potencies), but now with the simplified Banerji Protocols, that I share in my courses and on this blog, you should ALSO own the top 50 remedies in 200 C kit. And don’t forget our Cell Salt Kit.

Find them here.

But that’s not all.  There are five medicines that come up time and again that none of these kits include, and it would be wise to have these on hand as well:
Camphor 200c, used to antidote remedies and to open a new chronic case in people over one year of age. This is a Banerji Protocol that has served me well.
Sanguinaria can. 200c, used in cases that involve the sinuses, like sinus infections or snoring
Meddorhinum 200c, used in most bladder infection and UTI situations
Antimonium crude 6, used for basic rashes
Pyrogenium 200, used for septic conditions

There are so many more, but for those planning to stock up, this is a good place to start. It’s been my joke to say that, “She who has the most remedies, wins.” Well, take this  little story from a student of mine, and you tell me who won:

When Lauren came down with strep throat, she began using Hepar sulph 200, which is a great remedy for soft tissue infections, and in the 200th potency, Hepar sulph is a specific protocol for Strep Throat. But when—after the 4th dose—the symptoms did not improve at all, she realized that she likely needed an additional remedy. She was right.

Because there was copious amounts of saliva, Lauren more likely needed Merc Cyn 200 (it can also be indicated for cases of strep throat where there are sores in the mouth and/or an abscess in the tonsils). This is a hard-to-find-remedy that is actually sold by my preferred pharmacy, OHM. Keep in mind that OHM only sells to homeopathic students, or to professional homeopaths.

If you complete one of my full courses or my Study Group class, you receive a certificate which enables you to order from OHM.

So back to Lauren. Lauren’s friend Tara owned Merc cyn 200 and Hepar sulph 200. She was able to share the remedies with Lauren, and in short order, the strep throat improved.

Who won? Lauren or Tara? I think you know. Build your medicine stock, my friends!

Also, as a fun ‘extra,’ I have included photographs on how some of my students store their libraries of homeopathic remedies! Feast your eyes on these!

• Some great storage ideas include Buying an empty bullet case to put remedies in:

• Getting this fiberboard grid that can line the inside of a drawer. The remedies fit inside the grid-work and stand upright http://www.hsconline.co.uk/24mm-grid-for-5dsu

• This clear lipstick holder that seems to fit a variety of different sized-remedy bottles…comment below if you try it! https://www.amazon.com/Acrylic-Lipstick-Display-Cosmetic-Organizer/dp/B01C2PVWFC/ref=redir_mobile_desktop?ie=UTF8&psc=1&ref_=ox_sc_saved_image_9&smid=A1N6B1W3J8JYL6

I am a homeopath with a world wide practice working with families and individuals via Skype. I'm also a teacher and most importantly, a mom who raised my now-adult children depending on homeopathy over the last 31 years. I lived decades of my life with food intolerances, allergies, and chemical sensitivities until I was cured with homeopathy, so I understand pain, anxiety s and suffering. You may feel that your issues are more severe or different than anyone else’s, but I have seen it all in my practice and in my work in India. My opinion is that nothing has come close to the reproducible, safe and effective results that my clients, students and I have achieved with homeopathy.

Call today and learn how homeopathy might just be the missing piece in your health strategy.

Love the ideas for storage! Do you think there would be an issue using the clear plastic/vinyl pages with pockets (like for photos/business cards) in a binder? Some pages give off an odor when new. Could that odor antidote the remedy?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

If the odor is super strong, I suppose its possible. But I’ve found, through the years that these little pills are more hearty than they’re given credit for.

Where does one get the soft pink/blue/green ones that lay flat w/the black elastics to hold them..looks like they are essential oil containers. I would love to get those.

He says it works great in a IKEA drawer cabinet..it is called a “Helmer Drawer Unit”)… Video here demonstrating it: https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=ARGz9ZoyZG8

      Thanks a million Kelly!

  3. Becky says:

These look like great ideas!! Although aren’t we supposed to store in bags/containers that protect from cell phone radiation and wifi? Thanks for all the knowledge you share!!!!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I find that homeopathic medicines are more hearty than they’re given credit for. Mine go through security at airports all the time and still act fully.

      1. Becky says:

OK Thank You! Maybe I can take that film bag of my Christmas list then! 🙂

  4. Judy says:

Should we worry about storing camphor near other remedies if unopened? Also, if someone is already on prescription meds for a chronic condition like hypertension or heart disease, will the remedy camphor antidote the prescribed medication?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I’m not sure what you mean that a bottle would be unopened. but there’s no need to worry about keeping Camphor 200 near other homeopathics. If you mean camphor in its gross form, then yes, it should not be stored near by.

Camphor is reported to stop the action of a medication at the time it is taken. It doesn’t eliminate any benefits accrued from the past.

  5. Sue says:

I ordered a couple of the ammo boxes linked above (without thinking of measuring them, so my fault) and received them today & they’re way too small for homeopathic remedies. I would love to find similar boxes that would hold my remedies. If anyone finds some that aren’t costly, please share with us. Thanks!

  6. Neesie says:

How often should Sanguinaria 200c be taken for snoring?

  7. deborah says:

Sue, Thank you so much for your reply. I liked the ammo box idea also but when I measured, it didn’t seem like a good fit so thanks for confirming that. I found a lipstick organizer with a lid that I’m going to try.

I buy from Natural Health Supply . They will also help and answer any questions . I started with cell salts 40 years ago and graduated to homeopathic remedys soon after fo me , my family and animals. Still keep the salts in my arsenal . You can never have enough tools in your medicine cabinet . I have self educated and have many books on subject

  9. Elisa says:

I have bought of ton of different remedies over the years, which I carry around in a bag, and I’ve left it in the car on a few hot days. Now I’m nervous that they’re ruined (my daughter was just stung by a bee, and Apis seemed to have no effect). Is there any way to reactivate them??

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I wouldn’t necessarily consider them useless. Try again. She may not have needed Apis. I actually prefer Ledum for bee stings.

  10. Jaime says:

Joette, I am sending my two oldest children off–one to college and another on a church mission–and I have carefully selected pertinent remedies for them. I keep my own remedies in a room separate from household computers and cell phone, but my sons won’t have the luxury of that much space where they will be living. How many feet do you advise people to keep their remedies away from computers and cell phones? And if they must carry around a cell phone for their work, how would you suggest they also carry around their emergency remedy for asthmatic wheezing?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I have never experienced a homeopathic being ruined because it was held in a purse next to my cell phone or lap top. They’re more hardy than we have, in the past, given them credit for.

  11. Jaime says:

Thank you. I heartily trust your experience! If you are able to, could you read a short article at homeopathyplus.com/tadpole-research/ and tell me your interpretation of the researcher’s findings?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

      I’m sorry, that’s not possible.

  12. Jaime says:

Sorry, I didn’t word that well! What I should have said is: Here is the link to a short, interesting article about research done on remedies and cell phones that you or your readers may be interested in. As always, I value your take on things.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

      Thanks for sharing.

  13. deborah says:

My 99 cent store sells knock off aluma wallets. If you take out the insert, it works well for carrying 3 remedies in a purse or backpack.

  14. Candy says:

How do you categorize them. I have tried breaking them alphabetically in small bags. But I was wondering if especially ones for certain things; like going to a birth, out camping, on the road, childhood diseases etc. Has anyone found a great way to do this? I think I will ask in the Students of Joette Calabrese also.
