Did you know …

You can heal your gut issues, allergies, hormonal imbalances, skin problems and all kinds of other issues using only homeopathy?

Homeopathy works even if you don't follow an ideal diet plan?

You can heal yourself without having to take supplements or spend a fortune on other treatment modalities?

Clients often come to me feeling exhausted; emotionally beat from all the diets they’ve tried over the years, only to feel like failures because they didn't work as promised.

They're worn out from trying to keep track of all the vitamins, herbs and other supplements they supposedly need to restore their well-being.

They're fatigued from the many different treatment modalities they’re trying to use at once. Entirely done in from the sheer amount of work involved in simply trying to get well.

Over the years, I’ve come to believe all of this hard work is largely unnecessary.

I used to be a bit of an alternative medicine junky. During the last 35 years, I have wild-crafted my own herbs (and still do, to a certain extent), took loads of supplements and vitamins and had a large collection of essential oils (which I still use from time to time.)

I tried every diet and endured years of self-inflicted torture trying to overcome my health problems through severely restricted diets.

In some ways, I’m glad I went through all of that because it was part of my education process, and having learned so many different approaches helps me relate to what my clients and students experience.

I don’t want anyone else to needlessly endure what I did; instead, I want them to understand (like I do) that homeopathy is enough.

Now when clients ask me, “Can I really do this without maintaining a perfect diet?” Or, “Can I really do this without taking all these supplements, herbs and vitamins?” I reply, “Yes, I believe you can.”

Certainly, eating wholesome, natural foods is great for overall health, but achieving true wellness shouldn’t require years of sticking to tedious, limiting, often difficult diets. Homeopathy can do it faster without going to these extremes.

For example, it’s been fairly well established that allergies are not curable, only treatable.

I loathe the word “treatable.”

It implies allergy symptoms can be managed, but the underlying condition cannot be resolved. That may be true for modern medicine.

In my own life, for instance, my allergies have not been fully eliminated down to every little detail but their severity has been reduced to an occasional, mild reminder rather than a prohibitive, chronic condition, and although I've tried every method imaginable to rid my body of them for good, homeopathy is the only medicine that has restored my health to its current state of wellness.

Because of this powerful medicine, I am able to live an active, productive life, with an abundance of energy.

I have worked with thousands of people who suffer from allergies. I’d love to tell you there is one easy protocol to make them disappear but unfortunately, it's not the case.

This week’s homeo-tip:

As you may know, I’ve vowed to give my readers at least one homeopathic remedy tip every week. There are several more, depending on the various types and intensity of individual allergies, their inherited components and the amount of suppressive therapies used throughout the years. But if I had to choose one to open this discussion, it would be Calcarea carbonica 200C or 1M, generally taken every other day when in a 200C potency, and once weekly if 1M.

You may be wondering why, if there are so many useful remedies for allergies, I would choose to discuss just one. It's simple, really: because it has helped me tremendously over the years.

The method of taking Calc carb weekly is a Banerji Protocol, but I personally used 200C less frequently many years ago, and it worked just as well.

However, I have found this medicine to be somewhat slow acting. That is, it must often be taken over many months, with improvement becoming evident after a substantial period of time. To understand how homeopathy works for chronic conditions, please listen to my podcast #12, Why You May Be Disillusioned With Homeopathy.

Today, I no longer adhere to what I called, “my sad little diet”.

Nor do I suffer from asthma, chronic fatigue, anxiety, eczema, gut problems, insomnia, edema, arthritis or any of the related allergic reactions that were once so prominent in my life.

I have homeopathy to thank for this, which is why I have devoted my life to educating everyone in search of a better way.

In fact, my staff and I are committed to bringing homeopathy into the lives of 100,000 families by the year 2020.

Whatever your healthcare goals may be, take some time to explore how effective homeopathy has been in treating both acute and chronic ailments for hundreds of years.

You just might find that homeopathy is enough for you.

Take advantage of this free blog and also go to my Quick Start Guide and get started on the right foot using protocols that are often remarkably simple.

“If you have allergies, remember that modern medicine has written you off. The CDC itself will tell you: “There is no cure for allergies. Strict avoidance of the allergen is the only way to prevent a reaction.” I lived for decades living in a bubble, dealing with my allergies. Things improved when I stopped taking prescription drugs and changed my diet, but I was not cured. So I kept searching until I found the thing that changed my life forever: homeopathy. Want to learn the same homeopathic steps I took to clear myself of allergies? Learn them today and use them tonight with my newest course: Allergic: http://allergies.joettecalabrese.com/allergic/ and download a free infographic, and start learning what remedies could help uproot your allergies.

I am a homeopath with a worldwide practice working with families and individuals via Zoom. I'm also a teacher and most importantly, a mom who raised my now-adult children depending on homeopathy over the last 31 years. I lived decades of my life with food intolerances, allergies, and chemical sensitivities until I was cured with homeopathy, so I understand pain, anxiety, and suffering. You may feel that your issues are more severe or different than anyone else’s, but I have seen it all in my practice and in my work in India. My opinion is that nothing has come close to the reproducible, safe and effective results that my clients, students and I have achieved with homeopathy.

Call today and learn how homeopathy might just be the missing piece in your health strategy.

  1. Karen says:

I am interested in learning more, however, after checking just a couple of homeopathic products ( Calcarea carbonica 200C and arnica, I am learning the first ingredient is lactose, and I am allergic to it. Are most of these products also made with lactose?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

The homeopathic medicines that are readily available at most sources are made in either lactose or sucrose. But if you contact the manufacturing pharmacy you can get them in alcohol or water. Having said this, unless someone is exquisitely sensitive to lactose, it usually is not a problem because the pills are v.v. small.

    2. Martha says:

FWIW….my son is also lactose intolerant and has not had any issues with the remedies that contain lactose.

  2. Great Information!
I was already taking Calcarea Carb in 30 potency : a single dose of 4 globules every morning before my breakfast : for fighting my Acidity trouble, and I was getting satisfactory results. Now I will surely try Calc. Carb. 1M every week (at bed time) and let you know the results. And I’m sure I will get rid of my problem permanently.
    Regards,
    Chandrakant.

  3. Tiffany Johnson says:

Calc Carb 200 has helped me immensely. I have been taking it every 3 days for many months with great result. It has helped cut down my food allergy reactions so much. I remember going on a cruise before the treatment and while I did adhere to my gluten free diet (due to Celiac), I didn’t adhere to my doctor recommended nondairy, noncorn, and lowcarb boring diet. I remember my belly swelling like a balloon so full it felt ready to pop and being very very uncomfortable and even weeks after my whole GI system seemed raw and inflamed on the inside. I even developed a rash that took months to go away. I also had gained 7 pounds in five days. After the many months of treatment I went on an even longer cruise, still ate gluten free (because it’s wise due to my Celiac) and ate everything fun that I wanted. I did employ Nux Vomica and Nat Phos occasionally, but I had no bloating, no discomfort, no rash and no food allergy reaction. While I did gain 2 pounds over the 8 days, because of all the fun eating, it was much more manageable when I got home. Amazing!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I agree, homeopathy is nothing short of amazing.

  4. Gwenn Gilchrist says:

In past posts, Joette has recommended taking Calc Carb 200C eod and also e3d. I have tried it both ways, not sure which is the best. I’ve been taking it since October 2015 and am currently e3d. How does one determine the frequency which is best for them?
    Thanks, Gwenn

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I can’t give specific information without knowing the case. BUt both methods have been shown to act.

  5. Martha says:

Thanks Joette for your candidness and sharing your personal experience regarding allergies. It was also helpful to read that while your allergy symptoms are not completely gone to “every little detail” you have found a better quality of life through homeopathy. It is encouraging to read.

  6. Marika says:

Thank you for inspiring! I have started testing some remedies for myself and children, and at least in two cases succeeded radical improvement. For example, it is full moon, usualy insomnia, but my little daughter after taking Chamomille – not irritable and sleeps without problems.

  7. Christina says:

I would like to share a success story with Calc carb 200. I have struggled with infertility on and off for 12 years. It took us five years to conceive our first son. I was looking to homeopathy for some help because my cycles have started to get much longer in the past year, and we haven’t had a successful pregnancy in three years. After reading in this article (http://www.westonaprice.org/holistic-healthcare/homeopathic-solutions-for-emr-effects/) that Calc carb is recommended for all cases of female infertility, I started taking a dose every other day. My cycles normalized within one month, and I’m happy to report that we conceived after one full month of taking it. Amazing!! I am telling everyone I know who has struggled with longtime infertility to try it!

I am curious if it would be helpful to keep taking it every other day? Or if I should stop, since we achieved my initial goal in taking it? Thank you for your work!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

You just made my day. Not because it surprises me, but because it is important that we bring these babies into the world and I’m delighted for you and your little family.

I like using Calc carb 30 once daily for the 1st 7 months of pregnancy. Its a Banerji Protocol that I believe protects the pregnancy.
      Congratulations!

  8. Amber says:

I have been eating a sad little diet for four years due to severe multiple food sensitivities (migraines, hives, debilitating fatigue, brain fog, etc.), only having been able to add back a few items so far, though there has been slow improvement in the severity of these symptoms. Is the protocol any different for food sensitivities than outright food allergies, please? Thanks 🙂

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

One in the same. But “sad little diet” cases usually need more than just one. I cover this in my course Good Gut; Bad Gut and its how I work with folks one on one.

  9. bertien says:

After eating certain foods like strawberries, blackberries, apples and peppers, my mouth and lips begin to swell. There is also a very itchy and uncomfortable thick feeling down my throat. Would Calcium Carbonate help for this as well?
Thank you for all your articles, I allways read them!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Calc carb is one of my favorite medicines for allergies but I’ve not tried it for an acute reaction, only for long term uprooting of the allergic condition. At this very moment, I am putting together a forthcoming course devoted to allergies and allergies only. Meanwhile, read my article titled Bug Bites and Homeopathy. Even though the cause is different, the reaction is the same.

  10. N. Boyd says:

How would you choose between Calc Carb and Bovista? Or is that more detail that you were planning to cover in this post?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

We use Bovista when its clear that allergies are prominent and CC when immunity is more of a concern. CC can be used for allergies as well but if we see that there are also a lot of colds and other infections, CC might be a better choice.

  11. Paula Breuer says:

I am taking ammonium carbonicum 200 every other day per your suggestion to help with peri menopausal symptoms (with some help of reduced hot flashes), but I am also an eczema and mild allergy sufferer with food sensitivities and reduced immunity especially just before menses start. I think CC would be good, but can I be taking two 200 potency remedies at the same time? I understand both take a while to work. Antimodium 6 and arsenic album 6 are helpful for the eczema if I avoid the foods (wheat dairy) but it would be great to be able to tolerate them again.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I’ll be covering this subject in detail in my upcoming course called “Allergic!”. One of the topics will be that it is quite possible, even advantageous to use two 200’s in the same schedule.

  12. Andrea says:

Does homeopathy help with food allergies and is that covered in any of your courses? Our little 7 month old likely has FPIES (Food Protein-Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome). It’s a type of food allergy that affects the GI tract.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

My Course, Good Gut Bad Gut covers this as well as Allergic. Basically, this is what about 80% of my practice is about and my passion in teaching families how to uproot.

  13. Margie says:

    Hello Joette
I have been using the sabadil for my allergies with good results. I am now temporarily living with my daughter who has a dog. I now have an increase in itching and runny nose. I have been taking the sabadil 2 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. I find if I take the evening dose, I have trouble sleeping.
Is there anything else I can add to help with my symptoms.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I don’t take cases here but if you’re interested in learning more on how to use this medicine, insert the word “insomnia” in the search bar and you’ll find more.

  14. Susan says:

I just recently bought this because it was recommended by a homeopathic vet. My dog is 11 years old and suffering greatly from stiffness in the hips. I am currently having issues with my shoulder that I assume is arthritis (I am alost 61 years old) and I’d like to take it myself but I read it is made from the middle layer of oyster shells and I am highly allergic to shell fish. My allergies have increased with each decade and I’d love to find something to take that I could rely on.

    1. joette calabrese says:

You need to read a bit more about homeopathy before assuming that what the medicine is made of will cause an allergic response. WIthout getting into an entire course on the subject, there is not link between the 2.

  15. Carrie says:

Do children take the same dose of Cal Carb 200?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Children, new-borns, the elderly, dogs, canaries, cows.

  16. Carrie says:

Also, I am nursing and I use homeopathy for acute cases, is it fine to go ahead and start treating for chronic issues or wait until nursing is over?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Its the best time to use homeopathy because we treat 2 people simultaneously.

      1. Carrie says:

I actually was wondering that. I’ve been taking Lycopodium clavatum 30 for bloating and gas which has been worse since giving birth. The baby also had alot of gas and has recently greatly improved since I have been taking it.

  17. Angie says:

As always, thank you for your wonderful information. I think I am going to start my 10yo daughter on calc carb for her lifelong seasonal allergies she has had since she was a baby. My question is… would this remedy also help in acute situations (during the times she is experiencing the runny nose, watery eyes, drainage, cough moving to chest from drainage, all due to seasonal allergies), or do I need to be looking for another remedy that matches her acute symptoms and use them along with using the calc carb? Thank you!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

CC is used as a basis for immunity conditions. You’ll likely need to chose acute medicines as those conditions present.

  18. anne says:

Do I have to take the whole box or just a few?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Do you mean the whole bottle?

  19. Heather Crider says:

Would this remedy apply to environmental allergies as well? – i.e. Hay fever, pollen, ragweed, etc…

    1. Heather Crider says:

Never mind Joette, I found the Holy Hay Fever blog that uses Galphimia 30 and Ambrosia 30 fit acute and Calc Carb 200 for rooting it out. Thank you.

    2. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

      Yes.

  20. Aly says:

Can both calc carb and bovista be used maybe every other day for food & environmental allergies as well as a stubborn staph skin infection that’s been around for over 3 months? I want to add something in for allergies & immune system (due to infection) with the itchy eczema protocol.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

We don’t use CC for immunity with the rationale of a skin infection. CC is used specifically for repeated respiratory infections, colds, flus, etc. or allergies. Don’t look at these remedies as immune boosters, but rather medicine for a pathology.
Its tighter to use one or the other.

  21. Aly says:

So CC does not help with a burdened immune system? Or one that feels like it’s often fighting off some sort of illness? Would you then recommend adding in HS 200 for infected eczema on top of the Banerji itchy eczema protocol? Or should the BP for itchy eczema be enough to address bacterial infections?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

      That’s correct.
HS is often used for eczema as a baseline so if eczematous skin gets infected, yes, HS200 is a good choice.

  22. Aly says:

What do you mean by HS is often used for eczema as a baseline?

Also, if I have allergies to foods & environmental things & feel like I’m fighting off some sickness every month or every couple months (really tired & throat starting to hurt or feel scratchy), this would not be an indication for using CC daily or every other day? It doesn’t always turn into a sickness, I probably get a cold twice a year or so, but I take lots of vitamin C & echinacea/elderberry & honey & probiotics & ginger or juice when I feel I’m getting sick. I want to get to the root of the issue and over the years, I used lots of antibiotics (for repetitive strep throat, repetitive UTIs, GBS, eye & ear infections, bad coughs), topical steroid creams, topical prescription & nonprescription acne creams, oral acne medication, got all the recommended vaccines, used bleach hair dye, Tylenol, ibuprofen, tums, pepto bismol continually, & probably many other horrible, harmful things that I was totally ignorant about at the time. I want to reverse as much damage as possible, especially so I don’t keep passing allergies & issues to future children because our other children have had horrible allergies/sensitivities & eczema present soon after birth so far.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

If you’ve taken my courses “Skin…”, “Good Gut Bad Gut” and “Allergic” your questions are best answered on the student pages where there are other students plus a monitor answering questions. If you’ve not taken these courses, I urge you to do so becuase your questions are good ones but need more study on your part.

  23. Aly says:

According to the materia medica I looked at online, it shows hepar is an antidote to Arsenicum album…why do the Banerjis use these two medicines together in a protocol, mixed even, and how do they work if one is antidoted by the other?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

      Clinically, they don’t antidote.

  24. Heidi says:

I’m not sure if you can answer this here, but I was wondering how you approach inimical or incompatible remedies. Several homeopaths mention that you shouldn’t take them both in the same week or month since severe aggravations may result. I was concerned about taking Calc Carb if I’m also using Bryonia on a regular basis. They are listed in the materia medica as incompatible remedies. Same with Rhus Tox and Apis. This always confuses me.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Using the method I teach, I find that the medicines generally don’t antidote each other as readily as we all thought. Certainly, I’d stay away from mixing RT and Apis given their specific affinity to skin but there are not as many as one would think that are genuinely antidoting and inimical. This is one of the reasons I prefer this method over classical.

  25. Kelley says:

My son has several food intolerances due to a life long damaged gut. We’ve been trying to heal for six years. He has histamine intolerance, I think. The airborne allergens (high IgE allergies) messed his system up enough that even in winter he is dry congested in the sinuses, especially after eating meals. He does not often get sick. So would Bovista be a better place for us to start?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

With a case such as you describe, it would behoove you to go into greater depth via working with a homeopath or taking my Allergic course.

  26. Carrie says:

Is Bovista 200c indicated for when dairy consumption causes dark under eyes or just rashes? My children will become dark under the eyes like they have black eyes when consuming dairy. I offer raw dairy except for sour cream and occasional cheese from pizza I don’t make but really only notice it when drinking the raw milk.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Bovista is indicated when there are allergies and food intolerances in general. When it presents with rashes, dark circles, etc we add medicines that are specific to these symptoms. When a case is a little more complicated, I urge folks to learn as much as they can before embarking on the use of one remedy. Should you be interested in getting a full understanding of the process, go to my courses, “Allergic” and “Good GUt, Bad Gut” with the greatest emphasis on the gut course.

      1. Carrie says:

Thanks. I can’t afford the Good gut Bad gut course due to being a stay home mom with a teacher as a spouse in NC. I would love to take the course.I have read alot about it. I have your curing family pack and the flu pack and I use it all the time. When I’m not needing it I am still reading them over and over. I hope to take the study group course soon. I can’t find any friends to take it with me so I’m probably going to have to do a facebook group. I’ve tried some things for my gut.issues that I read online but always stop because it causes depression and irrirability. Though I would Love healing. Its been going on for 4 years now. I just keep trying to learn what I can in hopes to coming across the right thing for me and try not to get discouraged about it. Thanks for all you do and all the info you offer. It has been a Godsend.

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

You’ll learn a great deal in a Gateway Study Group as well as this blog. You’re approaching this correctly…just keep learning.

  27. Neelkamal Patalay says:

    Hello,

I started Calcerea Carbonica 200c yesterday for food allergies. I took one yesterday morning and another today morning. I am experiencing some kind of stabbing pain near my left ovary ( I think ). Somewhere deep below my left abdomen. So I started reading reviews for calc carb 209 on amazon and very very weirdly a user has left this review “ Cause sharp shooting pain in left ovary. As soon as I stopped taking a day later the pain went away.”

What does it indicate ? What does it mean when this happens ?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Generally, when a symptom that causes suffering arises from having taken a remedy, it means it’s not the right remedy for the person.

  28. Neelkamal Patalay says:

I took a dose of Camphora 200 to antidote it. Can I do anything else to not let this remedy affect me negatively any further ? I have put in my order for both Allergic and good gut bad gut courses ( but my group is yet to finalize with your office- in a day or two ). The fastest I can get the two courses is atleast two weeks away so I want to help negate this remedy’s affects meanwhile. I will take no other remedy until I have gone through the two courses completely. Thank you for responding.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Most provings wash away on their own over a short period of time. BUt sniffing essential oil of mint and having used Camphor will usually accelerate its demise.

  29. Maggie says:

I saw your comment where Calc Carb 30 is taken ED to protect the pregnancy, but can Calc Carb 200 still be taken EOD when pregnant to uproot allergies one is dealing with when pregnant or is it considered unsafe?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I wouldn’t consider it unsafe, but I like to consider a hierarchy of issues and I’d consider pregnancy more important. For that reason, I’d use the pregnancy protocol during that time.

      1. Maggie says:

So they couldn’t both be taken as separate protocols during the pregnancy? I have a pregnant mom who is now interested in homeopathic treatment to help with her allergic swellings from angioedema and stay away from OTC drugs. I know we can’t do Apis Mel when pregnant for the swelling events so that’s why I was asking about the Calc Carb EOD to hopefully soften/lessen the occurrence of the allergic flairs. I am ordering Baby Grande which probably answers this and as I now write I realize that you most likely cover this question in your Allergic course which I also will be getting soon. I will get her going on Calc Carb
30daily to protect the pregnancy. Thanks so much Joette for all you do to teach us! Oh, the stories I could tell just from my mere year long experience of using homeopathy learned from your site and study group; this stuff is nothing short of amazing. But of course you already know that:) God Bless!

  30. sahmpaw says:

When I took Calc Carb 30 on a schedule you recommend for my hormones I experienced improvement in the problematic areas in my menstrual cycle but the day before my period was to start I had really uncomfortable downward pressure in my pelvis that was actually pretty scary so I antidoted wtih Camphor.
Do you think Calc Carb is not for me? Based on your comment to Neelkama above I’m thinking that is probably the case. Darn, I was really excited for Calc Carb to be “the one”.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

      I recommended to you?

      1. sahmpaw says:

Sorry, Joette, I wasn’t clear. In Feminopathy it was recommended for luteal phase defect.

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

CC is good for luteal phase problems, but if it causes problems, it should be halted and the case reassessed.

  31. Hélène says:

So someone eating a bad diet and not willing to change to even a decent diet, would still benefit from taking this remedy in the article? Im talking mostly takeout and drinking Mtn Dew, iced tea, etc

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Yes. Homeopathy often transcends a poor diet.

  32. Linda says:

Hi Joette, so in taking cal carb for immunity and allergies doesn’t mean this has to be the remedy that matches all the person’s symptoms. It is treating the pathology and building the vitality slowly over time I am guessing? A few months back I took it because it matched all my symptoms but I took a 1m and mistakenly took it 3 days in a row, not knowing any better. I am a sensitive who tends to have a lot of aggravations and even proof remedies at first, even the right remedies, and yet if I stick with them they do heal and heal well. I know I overdosed on this one as I got pain in all my joints and basically became extra sensitive to pain all over, I got burning in my chest area, and bloated like I never seen before, then real bad heartburn up into the throat and I even gained 3 pounds. However, before I took it, I had the worse cold feet and cold body when I would lie down and it cured that which I was so grateful for. All those symptoms went away over 3 weeks or so but I felt like it put me in a lycopodium state, Getting bloated after only eating a little bit, waking up at 4 am. Feeling lousy after 4 pm to 8pm acid reflux, right sided complaints etc. So is it common to go from one state to another so quickly like that?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

      Yes, it is common.

  33. Manka says:

Is it useful to give both CC and Bovista alternating EOD for a child who has food allergies and easily cough and colds, and also skinrashes?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Both are appropriate but if possible, we look to use only one.

  34. Chelsey Holmquist says:

I have been on a soy and dairy free diet because it seemed like every time I ate something with either in it my baby (whim I was breastfeeding) would get a rash I also seem to have tummy issues of my own with dairy. Would you recommend us both taking CC200?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Its a good start but there are more that would be more specific to each of you.

Hi Joette…can I take Rhus tox 30 + symphytum 200 twice daily for osteoarthritis along with calcarea carbonica 200 every other day for allergic rhinitis? I give a gap of 2 hours between Rhus tox + symphytum and calc carb 200 …is it ok to take the medicines like this ? Thank you in advance.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

When we use more than one protocol in the same schedule, it’s not necessary to separate them by more than about 15 min.

  37. Zarine Sajjad says:

    Thank you Joette…God bless you.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

We want full access to all homeopathic medicines not just a select few.

  38. Kate Mccarthy says:

Hi Joette, I took your feminopathy course and noticed you suggest Calc carb 30 2D or CC 200 eoD in order to correct menses and also Sepia 200 2D to correct hormones. I have Menorrhagia and menopausal syndrome. I’m not sure which remedy to take and how frequently. Thank you so much for all you share. Blessings ? to you and your family ?

  39. ZARINE SAJJAD says:

Hi Joette …I live in Dubai and I have been suffering from allergic rhinitis leading to sinus problems and also get throat infections often …can I take Calcarea carb 200 one dose of 5 pills daily for my allergic rhinitis and other issues I have mentioned above instead of alternate days ? Thank you .

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Without personally taking your case, I can’t recommend what you should do. However, what I do suggest is that you consider taking my course titled “Allergic!” so that you approach this condition from all angles and you learn how to follow through.

  40. Kelly Hall says:

Good morning Joette. I would love some guidance. I have 5 foster dogs (siblings) in my rescue that itch continuously. They were in a litter of 11 and mom ceased feeding at 2.5 weeks. Now nutrition and health is the pinnacle of my rescue so I fed them fermented goat milk then directly to raw. They are not on paracitisides and seldom have fleas. Should I be looking at immunity or allergy if you had to choose by this limited information? I do rotate but have not tested for food allergies or flea saliva allergies. Thanks for any help!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Unless you have evidence that’s an immunity problem or allergies, don’t make assumptions. If the skin is itchy, regardless of the cause, we use an itchy skin remedy. Its that simple. \
Should you be interested, I cover this condition fully in my course, SKin; the Ugly Truth.

      1. Kelly Hall says:

The one thing I will never get used to – simplicity! Thank you for the reminder. I actually am enrolled in this course but with a job and the rescue, find only slivers of time to log on to it. But I cannot tell you how successful overall homeopathy has been for my dogs and rescue dogs! From acute to chronic, I always start with a remedy and seldom have to move to conventional.

  41. Lori says:

    Hi Joette,
We have a 4 year old cat that has many issues! He just had a urinary blockage, has a squinty chronic herpes left eye, throws up hairballs or vomits food and if he doesn’t eat frequently he throws up bile. Do you think Calc Carb 200 eod or Bovista 200 would uproot underlying issues? When there are so many things going on, I get so overwhelmed with choosing remedies.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

CC and Bovista are excellent medicines when there are underlying food intolerances and severe immunity conditions such as allergies. If these medicines are used when these conditions are not established it will likely cause more problems.

  42. Sangrita says:

would you agree with the following protocol for gluten/wheat intolerance and general food intolerances/gut issues/due to long standing antibiotic/meds, immunity issues{frequent cold sores} use with, Bovista 200 eoD and CalcCarb 200 eoD in the same protocol?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

In general, I would say these are certainly a possible choice but without taking the case I wouldn’t agree.

  43. Danielle says:

Thanks for this! I just finished Gateway 1 and looking to further my studies with either Allergic or Good Gut, Bad Gut. I am not sure which one to choose as the priority. It’s mostly for my son who has severe seasonal allergies that usually lands him in the ER with asthma attacks. But after the pollen count goes down, the allergies disappear for the rest of the year. However, as I have been taught my whole life, this issue stems from the gut. He has other things taht are year round that I believe are gut related. Where do you recommend I should I start? Allergy season is getting ready to be upon us so I want to stay on top! However, if its just a gut issue, Id rather just work on that first and hopefully the allergies will subside on their own after healing gut. Thank you for all you do!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

Given the acute nature of what’s forthcoming, I’d commence with Allergic and go with GGBG soon after. They’re better understood when there’s one course that overlaps with another.
