Homeopathy Ruined My Life

Before homeopathy, my life was normal.

When I was not well (often), I’d take off time from my workday and socialize with the staff at my doctor’s office while waiting for my turn to meet with the doctor. It was easy because we spoke a common language — the language of annual tests, allergy shots, vaccines, and drugs.

I was one of the crowd. I fit in.

And then Homeopathy ruined my life!

1. I lost my relationship with my doctor.

And I actually liked my doctor. He was nice and always willing to write out a prescription. But after finding homeopathy, I didn’t need to see him anymore. Instead, I was able to treat myself (and later my children’s) sore throats, injuries, infections, earaches, and more by myself. No doctor required.

Sadly, I never really saw the guy anymore.

2. When someone comes to me with a problem, I’m taking their case in my head.

I used to be that friend you could commiserate with and complain to about aches or pains. I could relate to the friend because I had them myself. Then that stopped. Ever since homeopathy, when friends come to me with symptoms of discomfort, illness or injury, instead of just letting them vent, I actually help them!

Because I have amassed practical knowledge, I’m constantly solving their health issues. When they tell me, “I’m losing my hair,” I don’t say, “Oh no, I’m sorry to hear that.” Instead, I blurt the Banerji protocol “Ustilago 200, daily for many, many months.”

I can’t stop myself, which brings me to Number 3:

3. People keep asking for help from me because I’m good at helping them.

From morning 'til night, people need me. I am helping people all day long. I'm sought out because they know I have answers for them and that I care! I ask you, my friends, to imagine the burden of shouldering that sense of deep satisfaction that comes from helping people free themselves from the grips of allopathic drugs and setting them towards independence and robust health.

Helping others has definitely affected my “normal life” — which is now a memory of the past.

4. I have to bite my tongue — a lot.

You may recall my sharing with you an incident that happened to me in a grocery store when I overheard a mom’s conversation about her doctor’s botched advice for her infant’s fever.

I had to bite my tongue because it’s important to recognize that not everyone is looking for my advice (especially strangers in a grocery store)! I’m forced to stop myself when I overhear medical conversations that alarm and sometimes disgust me.

5. I have too much cash in my bank account because we no longer spend money on medical bills, drugs and lost time away from more important endeavors.

Extra money can be taxing (yes, a pun). Because I’m able to take care of most everything that comes my family's way, we no longer shell out countless dollars for exorbitant premiums, because we don’t even have conventional health insurance anymore. No premiums. No deductibles. No co-pays. Also, no more drugs, weekly allergy shots; not even vet bills.

So now what? What are we supposed to do with all that savings?

Unfortunately, I've been forced to experience more travel to India to immerse myself in the world of medical homeopathy, be more charitable, further my education, enjoy more special moments in life, and feel more secure looking forward to a slower-paced life (way off in the future, because this is too good of a life to stop just yet) — all because of homeopathy.

Problems. Problems. Problems.

So, if you’re new to homeopathy and want to learn how to ruin your life, too — I’m happy to share in your misery.

Warmly,

P.S. Consider my Homeopathy Study Group Program. All you need to do is gather up a few friends, (local or via SKYPE or Zoom.US) and we’ll provide the rest — taking you by the hand in my guided course.

By the way, this is the opportunity you might be looking for to bring in your mother-in-law, daughter-in-law or others who don’t agree with you. Instead of hearing only your voice on the merits of homeopathy, they will likely be persuaded by others in the group who will inevitably share their positive experiences each week. You’ll all learn and share in unison. Now, what could be better than that?

I am a homeopath with a worldwide practice working with families and individuals via Zoom. I'm also a teacher and most importantly, a mom who raised my now-adult children depending on homeopathy over the last 31 years. I lived decades of my life with food intolerances, allergies, and chemical sensitivities until I was cured with homeopathy, so I understand pain, anxiety, and suffering. You may feel that your issues are more severe or different than anyone else’s, but I have seen it all in my practice and in my work in India. My opinion is that nothing has come close to the reproducible, safe and effective results that my clients, students and I have achieved with homeopathy.

Call today and learn how homeopathy might just be the missing piece in your health strategy.

Love this. We, too, quit paying for insurance we’d never use. It just doesn’t make sense for us to have it since homeopathy solves everything 🙂 I do wonder though if we should have catastrophic insurance. Any thoughts or wisdom on that idea? Thanks Joette. You have ruined my life as I knew it and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Much love, Jillian

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

If you can get catastrophic insurance, I’d get it. Some states actually don’t allow it.

  2. Marla says:

This is great, Joette! Six and a half years ago, you “ruined my life” , and I couldn’t be happier about it! Thanks for all you do!!!

  3. Kaylee says:

Sigh, I must say it’s begun ruining my life as well. Number 2 and 4 especially seem to be setting in more and more all the time and by the looks of things, number 3 is sure to follow eventually. Is there any help?! It’s good to know we’re not alone in this at least. 😉

  4. Andrea says:

Ruined myself! I haven’t cut the cord yet but I relish the day… soon:)

  5. Sherry says:

Yes, ruined my life too, and loving every minute of it! 🙂

  6. Jana koskie says:

It’s all true… LOL I love this stuff.

  7. pam G says:

Oh my goodness, I can relate to this! Add to it that I start thinking of remedies at night, I get very excited so I don’t get much sleep. I’m thinking coffea 200c? Lol!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

You’re funny. I should have mentioned that too. And yes…probably Coffea!

  8. Kathy says:

I am in the process of being ruined and am loving it. Thank you Joette for opening my eyes and for all of the information you share.

  9. Pam says:

Is there ever a limit on the number of different homeopathy medicines that you can take at the same time? If you had 5 or 6 different problems, is it ok to take 5 or 6 different medicines on the same day as long as you space them out? Thanks. You have helped me so much.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Yes you may take that many in one day, but I’d say you’re getting close to the limit. The goal, not unlike a great painting is always to edit; making certain that you’re not over representing what can be achieved in one well chosen medicine.

    Hi Joette,

My wife and I recently found your website and have already benefited, thank you. Is more advanced training available or needed beyond the study group you offer? What does it take to train for homeopathy as a profession?

    Kind regards,
    Steve

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I offer many on line courses, CD’s, 9 years of weekly blogs with free information, hundreds of articles on other sites and journals. Much of what I produce is free and I urge you to learn from them.
It took many years of training to become a homeopath and although I live in New York, I am presently in Kokata, India attending my fellowship with the world’s busiest and most famous homeopathic research foundation (more on this in my previous blogs) which I have done for 6 years. So it never stops. There are schools in U.S.(of which I was on the faculty of 2) but I don’t recommend one or another because I can’t keep up with them. If you’re interested in learning, you’ve found the place and if you’d like to chat with my education coordinator, you may call our office. All info is on my site. I wish the best in your pursuit.

  11. As a busy homeopath and wife and mother myself, I totally agree with you. I call myself a homeopathaholic!! Perhaps I need HA (Homeopaths Anonymous)! In Australia where I practise, the media and the medical profession are trying to take us down but I just keep on getting busier as people find that homeopathy works! We just have to keep spreading the word.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Its funny how the harder the push against us, the busier we are, the more the homeopathic pharmacies are producing. I believe that across the Western world, the jig is finally up.

  12. Margaret Day says:

Woo Hoo! Keep up the good work!

  13. mariecatherine2 says:

Joette, you are so right, and great sense of humour! Thanks for motivating us and challenging us like you do!

  14. Susan Mathewson says:

I so identify with most of what you write here! Unfortunately, I cannot separate totally from my doctors yet as my condition is complicated (pre-sacral abscess, osteomyelitis). My infectious disease doc is mystified that I am alive, caring for 8 horses, 2 aging dogs, 6 cats, house & husband with no Rxs. After 3 surgeries, 2 different ostomies (both reversed) & those experiences, I will never gave another surgery for this problem. It did not work for me. Diet & natural treatments, attitude, exercise & loving life keep me going!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I’ve treated my own osteomyelitis and soft tissue abscess using homeopathy only. Its not a complex condition, but requires more experience than what I can impart in my courses.

  15. I kept nodding my head as I read this. Can’t help repping people when they talk to me!

  16. A.f. says:

    Nice caption?

  17. SuzieHomemaker says:

so what insurance do you have? Even the so called Christian healthcare are just us paying for people to go get sicker at med science, not even in the Bible and people still believe it. We wont pay for that. we will be fined next year.(5 months of payments of what it would cost if we had insurance from any company) unless Trump takes the stupidity away. so what non convectional ins is there????????

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I only have a long-term care policy. I’m hoping for Obama care to be rescinded as well. But now at my age, I’m actually covered under Medicare, whether I want it or not.

  18. Hi Joette, You started me off 22 years ago and I’ve never looked back!! Love to you!!!! Mindy

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Hi Mindy! So happy to hear that you’ve stuck with it. I hope you and yours are well.

  19. LindaVZ says:

I LOVE this post, Joette! We are also clearing up problems in my family that no allopathic treatment has answers for. I’ve even stopped taking the natural (dessicated) thyroid medicine because Calc Carb and Thuja are working so well. So now, at 65 years of age, I’m on zero prescriptions. I treat myself and my loved ones (and their pets) and even our plants with homeopathy. Bless you and Dr. Hahnemann for bringing us this wonderful way to be healthy and happy.

  20. Lucky for me, my life has been ruined too! Thanks to you and all you do.

  21. Jennifer says:

    Joette,
I’m experiencing hair loss at age 41. I am on bio identical hormone’s of estrogen and progesterone yet hair is still falling out/ thinning in front/ crown area. I searched your site for a remedy for hair loss and a few came up. In my case would you suggest Calc phos 6x? Ustilago 200c? Silica 6x alternated with calc Fluor 6x? Please help! Thank you so much!!!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I don’t make personal suggestions here. If you don’t feel comfortable using the information I provide on the blog, you may take one of my courses or meet with me personally but in my estimation, at this point, that’s unnecessary.

      1. Jennifer says:

I’m assuming all of those protocols I mentioned work for some sort of hair loss? I’ll start with Ustilago as that is the most recent post. I am interested in learning more on how to use homeopathy myself. Which course do you suggest I start with? By the way, what got me hooked that homeopathy actually works is this past summer I started having hot flashes. I had about 1 to 2 per hour during the day and at least four during the night. I googled one of your protocols and it came up with Lachesis mutus 200c. I used this three times a day and within five days my hot flashes decreased. After going through two tubes of 80 pellets each my hot flashes were completely gone! It was unbelievable! Or should I say it is believable with homeopathy! 🙂 Thanks, Joette!

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

So happy to hear that it helped you. You’re welcome to contact my office and speak to Eileen or Audrey so that they can direct you to which course would be best for you. Having said this, it sounds like you’d benefit most from Feminopathy.

  22. mimi says:

Hi Joette! I tell everybody I know about you and mention you regularly in our FB city forum. You’ve been a godsend to our family and I want everyone to know about you!! I’ll be calling you soon to set up a plann to help my hubby with his sudden aFib and a few other things.
I read this post and saw you mentioned taking Ustilago 200 for hair falling out. In the winter time I see my long hair falls out a lot. Wondered if you meant following the directions of taking it 3 times per day for many months or 1 time per day would be enough? I began taking it 3 times per day and then realized wait a second, that would mean I’d need just about 6 packages. If you’re willing to answer this I’d be grateful for the info. Much love and respect…

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Ustilago is usually used once daily for hair loss.

  23. mickelle says:

Hi Joette! Could the Ustilago work for thinning brows, too?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

      Not in my experience.

  24. Krista says:

Will the ustillago help keep alopecia from returning? My daughter had 3 large balding areas last year that we managed with coconut oil and acv and it grew back but now a year later she got 3 more balding areas which we have been using ustilago for and it is growing back – can the ustilago actually stop this process from recurring?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

It may need to be repeated through the years from time to time but the idea is that it is correcting the condition.

  25. Christy says:

Hi Joette! I just finished my first course with you and I’m TOTALLY hooked!! Just wondering if the Ustilago works on male hair loss (as in they are just getting older and losing their hair) or if it’s for a different reason (unexplained, disease etc…) Thanks so much!!! ❤️

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Its the same protocol for men.

  26. Jan says:

Does the hair loss remedy work for men who are losing their when they are getting older?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Reportedly, it can help some. I have no experience with it.

  27. Tanya says:

Your blog post states using the Ustilago 200 three times daily, but in the comments you mention it’s usually used once daily for hair loss. Could you clarify please? I was just talking to a post-menopausal friend who’s hair is falling out in handfuls. I would love to pass this on to her. Thank you so much!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I said to use it 3 times daily? I’d appreciate it if you’d show me where that is written.

I generally use it 1-2X per day.

      1. Tanya says:

I’m so sorry! You certainly did not say 3x daily; thank you for taking the time to set me straight!

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

          No problem!

  28. Deepa says:

Hello, I am a 50 yr menopausal woman with Hysterectomy but intact ovaries. Loosing handful of hair with receding hairline since 4/5 years. My Gynecologist wants me to take HRT but I not in favor of it. No sex life since last six months even after trying Sepia. Will Ustilago 200 help me and in what dosage? Thanks…

  29. Slavina says:

Hi Joette, I started noticing thinning hair after having my 3 sons. I’ve been using Ustilago 200c once a day and Sepia 200c 2/week as a Banarji protocol for the past 3 months and haven’t seen even a slight change. Would you recommend I go to Ustilago 2/day or switch to another protocol? Thanks.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Without taking your case, I can’t advise you. Having said this, it often takes many, many months for alopecia to reverse.

      1. Slavina Faust says:

I understand. Thank you for the reply back.

  30. Amiya Jana says:

Does Ustilago 200c work if dandruff is the main reason for hair fall?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Ustilago is specific for hair fall regardless of the cause.

      1. Momebati says:

I am getting in the medical shop as “USTILAGO MAYDIS 200C”. Is it the same?

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

          yes

  31. Momebati says:

Is it same with Ustilago 200c used for hair fall?

  32. HI Joette! I went back and forth with you here about hair loss and Ustilago but I don’t see our conversation anymore. I got what you recommended and have been taking it for a few weeks, my scalp is still SUPER itchy!!!! And very sensitive, like the hair is sensitive when I move it around right at the scalp where it attaches. This was not post partum hair loss although I ahve had 5 kids, youngest is 2 1/2. Hair loss started during extremely stressful time. I feel it could be hormonal/thyroid… if I see you do I have to get blood work done or just walk through questions? Wondering if I should stick with Ustilago or try another? Thank you so much for all you do! I want my thick hair back!!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I’m sorry but I can’t give you any personal advice on this forum. And there are a number of aspects at play here: itchy scalp, scalp sensitivity, commencing after stress, potential hormonal etiology. Ustilago does not cover the conditions you’re mentioning. Instead, it’s simply for garden variety hair fall.

Should you be interested in learning how to follow through more fully and find the answers, you might want to consider my on-line courses, Skin the Ugly Truth and Feminopathy.

      1. That is totally understandable! Do you still take clients 1 on 1? And if so how do I learn more about this? I will look into those courses! Do we have access to asking you any questions with those 2 courses?

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Should you be interested in meeting with me personally, contact my office either by phone or email.
The courses are no longer live but you might be surprised to learn how often I answer the v. questions you may have right in the course. I anticipate questions because I’ve been doing this for so long.

  33. Amasilis González says:

    I love this! I’m not alone. 😂😂😂. Homeopathy since I was 25… Now I’m 67.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

      misery loves company.
