Anxiety: When the Elevator Flies to the Top

There it was again.

Jeanine woke up each morning to a smoldering rumble of both anxiety and depression.

She had a great life.

She was safe, healthy and had a loving family.

Sure, she was busy and had household duties to deal with — but so did everyone else she knew.

Why was she different?

Why did she feel as though she were stuck in an elevator with constant background muzak of hopelessness, fear and impending doom?

She did her best to put one foot in front of the other.

Most of the time, she was able to drown out the elevator music through brute force of will.

But it was always there.

All the time.

And on occasion, Jeanine’s elevator-prison would fly all the way to the top floor, and she would find herself in a full-blown panic.

The world would seem unsafe and frightening as her mind would race a mile a minute with worries and concerns: “Why do I feel this way? Maybe because I ate this or that? Maybe I inhaled a toxin? Maybe I have stored toxins? Oh, no!” It all seemed futile.

One doctor she visited suggested Lexapro.

But Jeanine was even more afraid of the drug’s side-effects than she was of dealing with the elevator and its seemingly never-ending muzak.

“Headaches, insomnia, fatigue, decreased libido,” stated the warnings.

“No, thank you,” Jeanine thought. “I’m having a hard enough time as it is without adding debilitating side-effects!”

And so, she soldiered on … each day was a struggle to control the elevator and tamp down the background sensations of angst.

I hear stories of anxiety and depression every single day in my homeopathy practice.

You may think I’m exaggerating, but I’m not. Every. Single. Day.

The sheer number of people who for years have suffered in silence is staggering because I know homeopathy can help.

Listen, we all have “blue” days.

We’ve all had the occasional “I-don’t-want-to-get-out-of-bed” day when we feel sad or frustrated or unable to face the world.

Indeed, that’s life.

But, when those feelings are too much a part of a person’s daily existence, and when the intense “elevator to the top” racing mind happens too frequently, that’s life-altering.

It’s time to take control of your health.

Coffea cruda 200C twice daily is one of the arrows in my quiver of go-to homeopathic protocols to uproot the conditions of anxiety and depression.

The side-effects? None.

The cost? Around $10.

This is homeopathy.

It is elegant, safe, gentle, polite … working with the body to correct the underlying issues that present themselves as these torturous symptoms.

Now, let me be clear.

Many times, those new to homeopathy assume they treat something “when it happens.”

While our aim in using Coffea certainly is to lambaste the anxiety attacks as they happen, what we really want to do is uproot the entire condition.

So, Jeanine didn’t need to wait until an over-the-top event occurred.

She began taking Coffea 200C twice daily, every day, until she felt very much better — that is, until both the background muzak, as well as her “top floor” incidents, were resolved.

Now Jeanine’s elevator isn’t her prison. It moves at a measured pace, freely stops on all the floors, and Jeanine controls the buttons!

And the muzak?

Certainly, she’s not 100% anxiety-free, but now she hears a happier tune in the background … perhaps something akin to the tunes I sing to my listeners before my Facebook Live events begin.

(Although from what he’s told me, apparently, one of my sons wishes there was a homeopathic remedy to uproot my singing!)

But, no matter whether you sing it to the world (like me) or just share it with your loved ones … please, pass on the good news of homeopathy!

P.S. Jeanine experienced one type of anxiety, but not everyone experiences the same accompanying depression.

Some people just feel jittery — like they’re vibrating at an unmanageable frequency. No one wants to travel through life like a nervous, over-bred poodle, startled at every turn, suffering from career-destroying insomnia and afraid of every small bit of news. This week, I’ll be participating in a free, online Anxiety SummitClick here to join me!

Currently scheduled for the 15th of November, 2019, my talk will be a peek into my extensive course, Mindful Homeopathy.

If you or someone dear to you is experiencing anxiety or another mental or emotional condition listed in the syllabus, please consider this popular course.

I wish I could discuss all the protocols here in my free blog, but many times the underlying issues are too complex to cover in under a thousand words.

A topic such as this requires a full course to give you a deeper understanding.

But once you gain competence and confidence through your studies, Practical Homeopathy® will help bring peace and joy back into your life.

Joette laughingI am a homeopath with a worldwide practice working with families and individuals via Zoom. I'm also a teacher and most importantly, a mom who raised my now-adult children depending on homeopathy over the last 31 years. I lived decades of my life with food intolerances, allergies, and chemical sensitivities until I was cured with homeopathy, so I understand pain, anxiety, and suffering. You may feel that your issues are more severe or different than anyone else’s, but I have seen it all in my practice and in my work in India. My opinion is that nothing has come close to the reproducible, safe and effective results that my clients, students and I have achieved with homeopathy.

Call today and learn how homeopathy might just be the missing piece in your health strategy.

Joette is not a physician and the relationship between Joette and her clients is not of prescriber and patient, but as educator and client. It is fully the client's choice whether or not to take advantage of the information Joette presents. Homeopathy doesn't "treat" an illness; it addresses the entire person as a matter of wholeness that is an educational process, not a medical one. Joette believes that the advice and diagnosis of a physician is often in order.

    Hi Joette-
I’m excited to take the mindful homeopathy class very soon. Thank God for your guidance, humor and enthusiasm. My incessant prayers to the fabulous St. Hildegard of Bingen led me here. I’m a fellow Sicilian-American and my husband is straight from Ireland. At our house we always have wine, potatoes, Kerry Gold butter…and nux vomica in case we over indulge ?

God bless you always and thanks for these awesome posts/podcasts.

    Thanks Joette,
Will Coffea works for the anxiety that occurs right before an event or when needed to get ready and start for it at a particular time etc.?
Anxiety that appears on daily basis like whether to be able to catch bus or to be able to reach work on time, to be able to attend meeting on time etc.

    1. Suzie says:

Whenever I am about to perform (sing or do a presentation), I take Bach’Rescue Remedy’ Drops. Works like a charm. I immediately took it when I accidentally stabbed myself with a knife because it helps with shock and anxiety.

  6. Mary says:

Thank you Joette, I never considered Coffeea for anxiety and depression!

  7. Barb says:

  8. Julie says:

Can my husband take coffea cruda 200c if he’s currently taking 2 blood pressure medications twice per day? He would also like to use Arnica Montana 3x twice per day instead of aspirin. He’s been taking amlodipine, and clonidine for elevated blood pressure since September. He has become very emotional and irritable since having a mild stroke in September of this year so I’m wondering if both homeopathics would be advisable by you?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I’m sorry; don’t advise on this site.

      1. Julie says:

How do we get your advice? Is there a fee?

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

You may contact my office and speak to Eileen or Audrey.

  9. Melissa says:

Is this used for anxiety driving a car and riding an elevator?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

It’s one of the most common for anxiety but it’s certainly not the only one to consider.

  10. Ann says:

I know this is late in the game, but there are many articles from Joette on different kinds of anxiety. Just Google ‘anxiety Joette Calabrese’ and you should be able to find an article, or sometimes even more than one, that addresses the kind of anxiety you are concerned with.

  11. Dennis says:

Should the remedy be taken the same times each day?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Approximately the same time but don’t worry too much about timing.

  12. Wendy Trackim says:

What would the dosage be twice a day? Do you dissolve in water or put under tongue? And how many?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

      Read, Wendy, read.

  13. Ashley says:

Joette, what about the caffeine in coffee? I heard caffeine can make anxiety symptoms worse which is why I’ve sworn it off entirely.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

That’s correct. That’s why Coffea cruda 200 is an effective medicine. You must understand how homeopathy works for this to make sense.

  14. G says:

I would love you to write an article on agoraphobia. The fear of leaving your house due panic sensations. Initially anticipated anxiety to leaving the home and then anxiety symptoms when outside your safe zone. Thanks

  15. Ann says:

Thank you so much for this post! I am desperately hoping the remedy helps my anxiety and OCD. When I click through the Coffea cruda 200C link, the Boiron site is only offering a 200 in the CK version. Sorry if silly question, but will that still be just as effective for this use’s intention?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, PHom M says:

      Ck is the correct potency.

      1. Ann says:

Thank you so much. I appreciate the information.

  16. Kate says:

Would this help my fear of feeling like I cannot swallow my food/drink in public? Sometimes I will go to a restaurant and feel I cannot swallow my food, so I don’t eat, but as soon as I get in the vehicle, I eat just fine.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, PHom M says:

I can’t tell you whether this or that homeopathic will specifically help you, but if you go to a materia medica online and read up on the characteristics of the medicines, you’ll be better equipped to make a good decision.

  17. Olena says:

Thank you for all your posts, Joette!

A quick question about Coffea 200 for anxiety: does it help with anxiety that isn’t related to depression? The anxiety I have in mind is stressing out too much over a toddler making a mess, being able to get somewhere on time, getting all the daily tasks done.

Thank you for your response and for everything you do,
