A Study Group Will Make Your Busy Life Easier; Then Learn to Treat Scabies.

It goes without saying. You’re a busy person.

But Benjamin Franklin once said, “Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.”

One of the reasons you should start your study group NOW (and not wait until next week or next month) is because illness will surely not wait around for you to become prepared!

But I also recognize there are some obstacles you may need to overcome to get on the road with homeopathy, so I tapped into a few already-started study groups to find out how those who have begun them are keeping their busy lives from going into overdrive.

Here are what some of my study group leaders have told me about what they have done to make their study groups WORK:

1. This is what I did with my kids so I could do study groups:

“I found a friend who is willing to do a “babysitting trade” with me!”

“I ‘starved’ my kids from TV all week, and then when the weekly study group night came, I had a very willing group of kids ready to watch the brand new movie that we had borrowed from the library.”

“I found a great gal from our church who needed volunteer service hours. I had her come over to babysit, and I headed to our local Starbucks for free WiFi access as I met my group online!”

2. I did this so that I felt comfortable hosting the group:

“I told my friends up front that I wanted to BE in a group but that I didn’t want to be the LEADER of the group! Everyone felt the same way. So we divided up the burden. We took turns hosting at different houses and we each took turns reading the discussion guide out loud each night. It was much less stressful than I thought it would be!”

“We assigned one or two chapters to each of the group members, as described in the Study Group’s introduction (see Jigsaw Model). It made hosting the group much less stressful. It’s just like what we did when we had book club!”

3. I had too much going on, so this is how I made it work:

“I have so much going on, but then I realized that the last thing I need is a child with a chronic gut problem due to the antibiotics I gave him! So I made time.”

“I cut something out for 8 weeks. My husband and I host our bible study once a week, but we decided to suspend our attendance for 8 weeks so that I could focus on my Study Group Curriculum.”

“For me, accountability is a big deal. So when I decided to host our study group, I knew that on Wednesday nights I would find a way to stuff the toys in their playroom so I could host my girlfriends. I just needed to get the date scheduled!”

4. This is how I found my group members and included far-away friends:

“I used Joette’s Joette's Study Group: Find your new Study Group Friends.

“I made an announcement at my homeschool group co-op and at my church. I was surprised by how many moms were interested!”

“I posted Joette’s Join My Study Group image on my FB page and I had a few friends who were interested.”

“To include far-away friends, I used Google Hangouts. I watched a couple of ‘how to’ videos on YouTube that explain how to use Google hangouts. After the first ‘test run’ it became super easy for us to meet weekly and go over the lesson.”

“We started a private Facebook group to help us keep in touch in between meetings.”

5. I have more serious health issues, and this is how study groups helped me:

“I realized that the best person to heal me was me! So I couldn’t turn away affordable foundational homeopathic learning that can benefit me!”

“I saw that in the second half of the curriculum, we discuss chronic issues! That’s what I have so wanted to learn more about.”

6. I have taken many of Joette’s courses, and I know so much! I HAD to spread the good news with others:

“I am so excited by this medicine that I couldn’t just keep it to myself! I HAD to share it with my friends!”

“I had taken Joette’s courses, but I felt like I needed to deepen my understanding. Leading a study group was the BEST way to do that. It’s amazing how talking and sharing deepened my understanding.”

7. I have an essential oil kit, and even took a course on herbalism:

“I had invested in learning about other healing modalities, but I found that I was still resorting to antibiotics once or twice a year for a family member or two. I heard Joette say that homeopathy trumps them all, and she’s right!”

9. When I realized that my husband wasn’t really supportive of my interest in doing a study group, I:

“…told him that he could come to class with me!”
“…invited his buddies over for a sports night and he didn’t protest at all when I dashed off to study group with my friends.”
“…I went anyways. Ha!”
“…I didn’t get too overtly excited about homeopathy in front of him (even though I was excited on the inside)…I put all my study group lessons to good use and let him observe how amazing this medicine and the study group was for himself.”

10. Since I already knew a lot about homeopathy, I knew this study group would enhance my knowledge:

“I have been so impressed with the Banerji Protocols. I love that the second half of the class focuses on these. I also was impressed by how my knowledge of homeopathy deepened as I traded ideas with newbies. ”

“There’s a difference between interest and commitment: When you’re interested in doing something, you do it only when it’s convenient. When you’re committed to something, you accept no excuses, only results.” — Kenneth Blanchard

How to Treat Scabies

As always, I don’t like to publish this blog without at least one good homeopathy tip for you to tuck away for use someday.

So today, I want to share with you how to treat scabies.

I won’t go into what scabies is since you can read about it on the internet. What you won’t readily find, however, is how to treat it using homeopathy.

This is the method I’ve used and found that in working with Pratip Banerji in Kolkata, he uses the same method with an added remedy I had not previously considered.

Here it is:
Psorinum 200C, one dose approximately every 7 days. I say approximately because Dr. Banerji uses it once weekly as his protocol. In the past, however, I have also used it as often as every other day and as infrequently as once every two weeks.

Dr. Banerji also adds in Coffea 200 as needed for intense itching. In my experience, I have used Sulphur 30 as needed instead.

I bow to his greater knowledge, however, because I have only seen a handful of scabies cases, while they have probably seen thousands.

Again, I acknowledge and appreciate a more vast experience base.

So instead of dashing off to a dermatologist or pediatrician who will likely prescribe Lindane (a pesticide banned by the EPA, but still allowed by the FDA) and Permethrin (a synthetic insecticide of the pyrethroid class), use your awareness and homeopathy kit instead!

And then pass on the good information to your study group!

I am a homeopath with a worldwide practice working with families and individuals via Zoom. I'm also a teacher and most importantly, a mom who raised my now-adult children depending on homeopathy over the last 31 years. I lived decades of my life with food intolerances, allergies, and chemical sensitivities until I was cured with homeopathy, so I understand pain, anxiety, and suffering. You may feel that your issues are more severe or different than anyone else’s, but I have seen it all in my practice and in my work in India. My opinion is that nothing has come close to the reproducible, safe and effective results that my clients, students and I have achieved with homeopathy.

Call today and learn how homeopathy might just be the missing piece in your health strategy.

Joette is not a physician and the relationship between Joette and her clients is not of prescriber and patient, but as educator and client. It is fully the client's choice whether or not to take advantage of the information Joette presents. Homeopathy doesn't "treat" an illness; it addresses the entire person as a matter of wholeness that is an educational process, not a medical one. Joette believes that the advice and diagnosis of a physician is often in order.
