Vertigo, Tinnitus, Meniere’s

I recently posted about how to relieve travel sickness quickly

Today I am going to address vertigo and tinnitus, which sometimes share similar aspects of motion sickness.

However, these maladies can be even more debilitating when associated with a chronic condition.

While travel sickness is due to movement, vertigo and tinnitus can often accompany nausea, making it a double whammy.

Some describe the feeling as existing in a factory of constant noise, being intoxicated or having a bad case of “the spins.”

Infections, fevers, seemingly unrelated illness, movement, inner ear issues, exposure to loud noises, eye problems or even a major stress can lead to a bout of vertigo and long-term tinnitus.

John suffered from tinnitus

Take John, for example. John is in his mid-60s and has suffered from tinnitus daily for eight years. Many times, this is accompanied by vertigo.

When he’s suffering a rather severe episode, he is assigned to his living room chair, instead of spending productive time in his office.

After taking my course on how to treat yourself with homeopathy, he asked himself what was going on in his life at the onset of this unsettling disturbance.

He thought about it for a while and asked his wife what she might recall.

As I direct my students, they constructed a timeline of his health events.

This is when he realized that it was shortly after his gall bladder surgery that the hearing and equilibrium distortions began.

In homeopathy, sometimes revealing the cause can be useful in determining the remedy.

Indeed, we might consider Arnica for post-trauma issues, Phosphoric acid for anesthesia poisoning or even Nux vomica for the ill effects of any meds that may have been used in and around the surgery.

Not knowing the precise cause can leave some unanswered questions.

However, regardless of the cause, homeopathy has a history of dealing with such maladies, and sometimes this leaves us with a matter of trial and error to find the precise stimulus.

Not to worry.

Homeopathy throws no punches.

There are no side effects associated with even the wrong remedy choice as long as it is used judiciously.

Because John wasn’t certain of the precise exciting cause, he tried the Banerji Protocol that I taught his web class:  Tellurium metallicum 200C every three days and Conium maculatum 3C twice daily.

(Dr. Prasanta and Dr. Pratip Banerji use the 200 and 3C potencies respectively, but since some of these are not available in the U.S. and other parts of the world, my students are reporting that 30C and 6X or 6C are useful.)

John was encouraged when he noted that the sound had lessened about 10% within the first 30 days of using the remedies.

Three months after that, he was more optimistic when he realized that the cicada-type noise was no longer part of his daily experience.

Only after being exposed to loud noises, such as when his car was being repaired at the mechanics’ shop, did he note a return of the symptoms.

He slowly began to recognize that after 6 months of the remedy use, although the high-pitched sounds were somewhat audible, they were not enough to make an appreciable difference in his life.

In fact, he noted the sounds only when he paid close attention.

In other words, John felt that as long as the noise remained at this lessened level, he was satisfied.

Indeed, who wouldn’t be? After all, is it perfection that we seek or is it relative health so that he can return to a productive life?

Genuine health is freedom, and as long as John is liberated to work and benefit from his life, then he is experiencing health.

Now, with the unsavory sensations and sounds much minimized, John spins with excitement and buzzes with enthusiasm instead of with vertigo and tinnitus!

Note: If you have tried these remedies, and the tinnitus has still not subsided, a well-trained homeopath can pinpoint a more closely aligned remedy.

I am a homeopath with a worldwide practice working with families and individuals via Zoom. I'm also a teacher and most importantly, a mom who raised my now-adult children depending on homeopathy over the last 31 years. I lived decades of my life with food intolerances, allergies, and chemical sensitivities until I was cured with homeopathy, so I understand pain, anxiety, and suffering. You may feel that your issues are more severe or different than anyone else’s, but I have seen it all in my practice and in my work in India. My opinion is that nothing has come close to the reproducible, safe and effective results that my clients, students and I have achieved with homeopathy.

Call today and learn how homeopathy might just be the missing piece in your health strategy.

  1. Donna says:

Thank you for that very informative article, Joette. My husband Paul suffers from tinnitis and he got better after taking the remedies you suggested. He still has the problem, but only intermittently. His case is similar to the one you describe above, gets worse around loud noises. Maybe he should try these remdies too.

  2. Linda says:

Can you please include this info at the workshop you will be having at the Western Price in Atlanta in November? My husband will be there and he has this condition.

    1. joette says:

i’m organizing my notes for my presentation and i indeed plan to cover this subject. feel free to come by my table during the conference so we can meet. ‘see you there!

  3. Linda says:

Could you please include this info at your workshop you will be doing at the Western Price conference in Atanta on November 12? My husband will be there and I would love for him to receive this info from you in person. Thanks

  4. Courtney says:

Wow! It is great to know that homeopathy can help with pretty much anything! Even when doctors are baffled, remedies come through!

  5. Liz says:

Great information. The Banerjis are such a wealth of information!

  6. Beth L. says:

Yes, truly amazing!! Thanks again, Joette!

  7. Lorna says:

    Thank you, Joette!

  8. kate says:

I was diagnosed with meniere’s after extensive dental work whacked my body out….i am working with a naturopath to clear out the mercury and other toxins that made me so ill, but the ringing in ears and dizziness is still there…do you recommend these remedies for meniere’s syndrome!?

    1. Marcia says:

Kate, can you update me with the results of you detoxification for
Menieres? There is a chiropractor who presented to a group of peers
his treatment for Menieres. He also did in Atlanta, it must be a huge community
for homeopathic work. He priced me out, if it works, I would pay
but I need to read the results. And my thoughts are can’t any chiropractor
achieve the same with regular treatments?

  9. Claudia says:

Do these remedies apply to any causative factor? My tinnitus began after a Lyme disease treatment drug was administered. However, 20 years before, I had worked as a chair side dental assistant with no ear protection.

  10. your situation changes the issue in that the exciting cause might be trauma or latent infection. if you’re interested in speaking, feel free to contact my office.

  11. Rhonda Gerson says:

I have severe dizziness/vertigo that is not Benign Positional nor Meniere’s. I have no tinnitus.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you

  12. Barry.Keate says:

Great article. I’m happy to know that homeopathy can help both vertigo and tinnitus. My experience is that zinc and Ginkgo biloba can also be very helpful. Two studies showed that these ingredients reduced both vertigo and tinnitus and were at least as effective as prescription anti-dizziness medication.

  13. Elaine Fredrick says:

I just remembered that I have had issues with some tinnutis in the past when taking aspirin. Hopefully people know about aspirin causing ringing in the ears…
    Good article, by the way.

P.S. The “mail” box above: is that for e-mail or an acutal home address?

  14. Linda says:

Would these 2 remedies also be indicated for tinnitus that sounds more high pitched, like a mosquito, without the tone variations of cicadas? This has been going on for 2-3 years in a 63-year old male, also unknown cause – worse in early morning and before sleep (probably due to quiet). (Other issues: irritability, moody, type A, tends to feel overwhelmed, big coffee drinker)

  15. Elena says:

My daughter sent me this article. I muscled tested and the 2 remedies were positive. I have a condition: BVL (inner ear damage) for over 3 years. Which has Caused imbalance walking and need a walker. Started after hip replacement. I plan to start these 2 remedies soon but need guidance. Thanks

  16. Andrea says:

Would you mind clarifying something- In the above remedies you are talking about just ONE dose o Tell Met 200C every 3 days and ONE dose of Con Mac 6C 2 x a week correct? Thanks Joette!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

That’s correct. If you enjoy success with this, pls let me know.

      1. Katie Mitchell says:

Hi Joette! I just completed Gateway I and logged into OHM. They have a remedy that is these two combined into one remedy per the banjeri protocol. Will that work the same or do you still recommend separate?

        https://ordercart.ohmpharma.com/products/tellurium-metallicum-200c-conium-maculatum-6c-2/

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

It really depends on the case and what else is being considered, etc. Having said that, when a pharmacy as reputable as OHM manufactures a combo its often a winner.

          1. cindy litchke says:

could you please advise how often to take the combined remedy from OHM?

          2. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, PHom M says:

            Pls. read the article.

      2. kim says:

i also want to clarify.. i thought it said con mac 3c 2x day? just want to take it correctly

      3. Don Williams says:

Jolette, can you please simply tell me exactly the dosage and how often to take the Conium. I ordered it from Amazon which sent Boiron Conium maculatum 30c, recommending 5 pills three times daily.

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

The number of pills that comprise a dose is indeed printed on the side of the bottle.
The frequency that I teach is as per the article.

  17. Pat Russell says:

I was looking to order these remedies from OHM and noticed that they have a combination remedy of the exact potencies the Banerjis use. Can this be taken every 3 days or is the twice a week dosing of the Con Mac important to take separately from the Tell Met?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

The only way I know how to apply the protocol is the way I set it up in this article.

  18. Tina says:

I have very loud tinnitus though it was not this loud when it started 5 years ago . This remedies will work? I notice they are available on Amazon in pills form . How many pills to take in one does?. . It’s not your artical how many to take or if it’s liquid how many drops?. Also is Tellurium is same thing as Tellurium Met?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

The number of pills as to what comprise a dose is written on the side of the bottle. Tellurium Met and Tellurium are one in the same.

  19. DG says:

    Hi Joette,

Interesting writeup – will definitely explore these for my tinnitus. A quick question : Is the example case you have put up a real case or a depiction on how the remedies will work ? Also does this protocol work for tinnitus after an upper respiratory infection without any vertigo etc ?

    regards
    DG

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

It was a real case. The medicine is often useful for tinnitus regardless of the etiology.

      1. Erika says:

Would this be the protocol even if tinnitus was “possibly” caused by Mercury fillings?
        Thank you!

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

          Tinnitus regardless of the cause.

  20. Toni says:

Hello Joette,I have tinnitus ringing in ears getting loader it happen around or after remove of sinus polyps, had 2 surgeries, I havent any problems with sinus polyps, since I use homeopathy medicine it’s great. But having a lot of sinus mucus when I blow my nose I get dizzy. Could I use tellurium metallium 200c and conium maculatum 6. Or Should I start clearing my sinuses first. I thank you for this site, my body responds much better with a homeo pathic then pharmacy drugs. (I had a sore throat ,sinus polyps , a rash, all went away by using homeopathic meds
    Thank you

  21. doug says:

Joette, I’ve yet to try your ideas-thoughts, but have some thoughts…and news to get off my chest.. as we well know, none of us are Doctors, but we look deep for answers, wouldn’t it be nice if the Doctors would do the same? I notice you do not use the word Meneire’s…and glad to see that, it’s a “name” to something(s) that may have lots of other underlining reasons. My story is, I got Lyme+disease in 08′ lucky to be treated by a LLMD…even though it broke the bank. I took most everything one can imagine some conventional, like doxy, and Rif…but most that helped was in the “natural, herb, Vit, Min” area.
We, I got hit by another Tick, in may 2016, went to a “regular” IDSA Doctor who would only do 21 days of Doxy and Refused to follow the New Clearing House Guidelines…not even a few short months I got Bells Palsy on right side, I used Vit C, Lysine, MSM, and a few others to help me with this Lyme induced-Herpe’s Bells Palsy…Then only after a couple of months of releif of the Bells, I had a drink at a friends house, not normally a drinker. I then came down with Mystery Meneire’s..or Lyme-Herpe’s induced Meneire’s??? Let’s call it MM….so…I got this MM…now what! Well, I had stopped the extra Vit C and the Lysine and the extra MSM…umm interesting…those are helpers to rid of MM….I had Doxy, one drink, caffene…bad for MM….I’ve also had Candida issues another cause for MM…umm…Bells is a Herpe…MM is a Herpe… Lyme loves Herpe…EBV is a Herpe……umm…..I’ve been using ACV and been drinking lemon juice squezzed right into the whites of the lemon…umm why has they helped some…clue is in the white of the lemon…know the name?(no not the Vit c) Then of course the lemon is a Vit C helper…but then the other day……I figured I’d take some of that homemade LipoC…..Wow! next two days have been a virtigo ride(The loudest noise in ear ever!)…..anybody gettin’ some clues here? There is some Mystery…but I’ve found it to be alot more…..Joette…I’d be interested to hear what you think on the clues of my MM what you think? Have you seen the post by JohnfromOhio on this MM topic? What’s your take on the interesting “responses” that people get trying or doing or eating certain things on this or about this MM?

  22. Peggy Huckeba says:

Joette, the Banerji protocol you have here is different from the one in the Banerji protocol book: the same 2 remedies are used, but the amounts and dosing of the Conium are different. Is one more indicated for a specific situation, or not?

  23. Jaime says:

Are you saying that had the case study, John, realized that his ear problems seemed to begin after, say, a head injury, you would have advised him to take a remedy for head injury–even though the head injury was many years ago–along with the remedies you describe for tinnitus? How long would he have to take the remedy for head injury, or Phos acid for anethesia poisoning, or Nux vomica for surgery medication, or whatever long past event that seemed to trigger his current ear problems?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

That is what I’m saying. If we know the etiology, we often open the case with the homeopathic that ought to have been used at the onset regardless of the age of the subsequent condition. And yes, we follow that with the medicines that are appropriate for the presenting symptoms as well. The length of time would depend on the case. If there was enough evidence that the initial medicine was highly indicated, we might use it for months. If not so, them as little as a a week perhaps.

      1. Rachel says:

        Mrs. Calabrese,

Forgive me for not understanding… so if there is a clear etiology, do we simultaneously treat the exciting cause AND the current presenting symptoms or do we go after the etiology alone first and THEN treat anything which might still remain afterward?

        Thank you so much.

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

The reason it’s a little difficult to understand is that I can’t say I have an exact rule. It depends on the case.

          1. Rachel says:

            Mrs. Calabrese,

I’ve always loved your candor! That is actually helpful to my understanding, thank you!

          2. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

            You’re welcome.

  24. Pat Postula says:

In his book, the Banerji protocol specifies to use Conium 2 times per day and Tellurium once every third day. You are suggesting to use the Conium just twice a week. Would you please check and advise which dosing is correct?
My tinnitus began after thoracic surgery for loculated empyema that required days and nights of various antibiotics. Recently the noise in my ear has been increasing resulting in hearing loss. Your advice is always appreciated!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

There is more than one approach using the same medicines.

  25. Joe G says:

Been suffering/putting up with tinnitus since Aug. 2011. That was the month we moved into a wonderful, beautiful home. We all know moves are stressful; perhaps an initiating event. Also, we moved from one well to another well in our county. This new one was slightly higher in manganese or magnesium (don’t remember which at the moment), giving the water a slightly more bitter taste, but not so bad that we had to have the water treated. Otherwise, don’t recall any other possible events that might have occurred near the onset. Would u still recommend your protocol?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

If the symptoms match then the rems will likely act, regardless of causes.

  26. Patty says:

I’m still not clear? Every third day you take the Tellurium Met 200C (according to the bottle) and the Conium Mac 6X every other day? Thank you.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Because John wasn’t certain of the precise exciting cause, he tried the Banerji Protocol that I taught his web-class: Tellurium Metallicum 200c every three days and Conium Maculatum 6c twice weekly.

Does it make sense now that you’ve read it again?

  27. Kris says:

Can’t wait to try this remedy. been suffering with Tinnitus for a few years now after an extensive Babesia treatment.

  28. Rose says:

I have been using this protocol for my husband for about 1 month now and I happened to come across the banerji book pg 67 for tinnitus is Tellurium 200c e3 D and Connor Mac 3 c 2 d. The difference in the two protocols is bumping Con Mac to 2d. Should I do that or keep it at 2 weekly. That is a big difference. Thoughts? Thank you! I love all this stuff!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

There are many ways to skin a cat. Usually, I start with one protocol and give it the full amount of time to act. If no improvement, then we go on to another protocol.

  29. My name Shehla Mujtaba. Mum's name. Taýyaba Raza says:

Help me please, my mother who is nearly a hundred years old is suffering from acute tinnitus, she says there is a constant sound of thundered and rain in her ears due to which she can bearly hear and hence is unable to communicate with people. I’ve shown her to many ENT specialists but nothing they’ve given helps. I would be most grateful if you could prescribe some medicine to relieve her.
    Waiting anxiously for you reply,
    Thank you.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I don’t prescribe on this forum. I do, however offer information in the form of these articles and as per this one, the information is right here.

  30. Philippa says:

Dear Joette, I know this could be very unrelated, but I’m wondering if you have a protocol that can be used for Misophonia? Please let me know what you think. Thanks v much.
    Philippa

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Misophonia is one of those conditions that is based more on how it presents rather than on a single diagnosis. If there is a strong psychological component, such as stress read about such here https://joettecalabrese.com/blog/the-chatter-in-my-head/

      1. Shelley says:

I know this is an older post. Is there anything more you could recommend for Misophonia besides what is mentioned in the Chatter In Your Head blog?

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, PHom M says:

There are many homeopathic medicines from which to choose for this condition. If you own a repertory, look under Hearing; sensitivity to sounds and you’ll find the medicines most commmonly used. If you have training in how to use this book you’ll know how to analyse what appears so as to distill which medicine is best chosen, what potency to use and the frequency of its use.
Should you be interested, this is precisely what I teach in my Academy.

          1. Shelley says:

Great! I just signed up on your website! I will watch for more info about the class. I have been following you and using your protocols these last few months. I have been wanted to go further. My daughter (26) suffers from Misophonia, and I will do everything I can to try and help her. Thank you so very much! I look forward to learning from you.

  31. Peg says:

Joette, would this be a good remedy for an old dog with vestibular disease, which is vertigo?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

These protocols act on all ages and all species. They’re pretty much across the board.

  32. Shakhnoza says:

Does this protocol work for Rocking vertigo , i.e there is no real spinning but as if things are rocking underneath bed, floor etc?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I can’t say I know for sure, as with any of these protocols, but if its vertigo and this is a vertigo protocol, I would not hesitate to consider such.

  33. Robert James Mome says:

I have full force Menieres- what should my next step be?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I don’t offer specific, personal advice on this forum. I’d urge you to read the info here and decide from there whether it might be appropriate.

Should you be interested in a consultation with me, you may contact my offic.e

  34. Barb says:

Joette my ear is ringing sometimes it hurts I’ve tried hepr sulfpher 6c 2xs a day it helped many times before with congestion in the ears and ringing but now it helped for awhile then it just stopped when I’ve done it before I had a lot of ear wax come to the surface not sure if it’s ear wax bothering my ears if that’s why it’s ringing is there anything I can take for ear wax?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Don’t make an assumption that this or that is the cause. Just use the diagnosis and symptoms to determine your remedy choice.

  35. Cheryl says:

Joette at week 8 of Gateway I in our Q&A with you I asked about Pulsatile tinnitus (hearing your heartbeat in your ear). You said there is a cell salt that works for hearing/feeling your heartbeat in remote parts of the body… I have read your cell salt book and another’s lecture notes on cell salts, asked several other Gateway I and II participants and we can NOT find it anywhere.
Could you possibly tell Me which cell salt or post a link on where to find it… anything that might give me hope in getting to the root of this issue. Thank you so much for your wisdom and time!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Hi Cheryl, the cell salt is Kali sulph.

      1. Cinda Capone says:

        Is that twice a day?

        1. Season says:

Just wondering Cinda if you have tried this? I also have the same problem.

  36. Shayna Pettiford says:

I have the same thing. Mine started after flying back home from a trip. It’s been almost 3 years now and along with it I have balance issues now. Is there a protocol for general vestibular malfunctioning issues I wonder?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

If you read the article carefully, my sense is that you’ll likely find your answer.

  37. Laurie Rathsam says:

Hubby is suffering from vertigo, but no tinnitus or Meniere’s. He does have nausea, dizziness, slight sensation of faintness and all is more exacerbated by movement. This just showed up today. Is the above remedy, Tellurium metallicum 200 e3d and Conium 2W adequate for him to take, even though he doesn’t have two of the three of the symptoms? Thanks for your thoughts.

    Laurie

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

The best way to know the extent of a homeopathic medicine’s reach is to read up on each one. If you don’t own a materia medica, consider mine or read Dr. James Tyler Kent’s online for free.

    2. Catherine says:

I’ve been suffering from vertigo and my daughter in Law who lives in Germany suggested a homeopathic remedy that is called “Vertigoheel”. It’s available on amazon. It works fast and saves my sanity.

      1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Probably because the medicine I discuss in this article is found in that product.

  38. Janine says:

Thank you for the information. I understand the frequency.

My question is: Is it okay if the time for dosing falls on the same day? Or should the medicines be given on separate days? ( I was thinking I’d keep the Con Mac 2x weekly on the same days and then take the Tellurium every 3 days. Hence the occasionally overlapping.)

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

      It doesn’t matter.

  39. Mary Freeman says:

Thank you for a wonderful article. Would these remedies be useful for Mal de Debarkement, a neurological problem. It feels like I’m on a ship with bobbing/swaying /rocking in my head. Worse when still, better when in motion(like driving a car) No nausea. Exhaustion from the brain continually telling the body to right itself although there is nothing to right because I’m not in motion from a ship. Thank you. Could you think of any other homeopathic remedy that would help? Drs prescribe anti depressants which I do not take.

    1. Lucy says:

If someone has been taking Tellurium 200 and Conium 6 specifically for tinnitus and after 2 months there is no change in tinnitus but brand new symptom is vertigo, what should be done now? I understand this is proving. Stopped these remedies for few weeks. Then tried again and vertigo comes back very quickly. All BP remedies for tinnitus also trigger vertigo (per Materia Medica). How can tinnitus be treated without getting vertigo?

      1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

You’re correct; it’s the wrong medicine for you which tells us that you must move on to beyond the main protocol. When this happens, the next step is to go to a homeopathic repertory and determine the next best choice. This takes some earnest but you might want to work with a seasoned homeopath instead. Having said this, if you’re taking any meds, vitamins or supplements, make certain that the side effects don’t include tinnitus.

        1. Regina says:

If you are taking a medicine that has caused your tinnitus and you stop the medicine will these remedies work to correct the tinnitus?

          1. Regina says:

I only have tinnitus not vertigo. Do I still use both remedies?

          2. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

One does not need to suffer the full picture of a medicine for it to act.

          3. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

If you’re asking me if a drug caused the condition will the homeopathic medicine correct it, my answer is that it would be difficult for me to answer that without a good deal more info.

  40. Regina says:

A antidepressant that I am taking that helps relieve pain in my legs is causing side effects one of which is tinnitus. I’m going to have to stop the drug because it’s causing these side effects. Many antidepressants are known to cause tinnitus. Now I need to use something to stop the tinnitus. I’ve used homeopathy to cure several things before but never one that was caused by a drug. I’ve tried so many trying to stop the pain in my legs but no one knows what is causing it so I can’t even get a diagnosis! I think it’s fibromyalgia myself , in a very severe form. I tried your fibromyalgia protocol but it never worked for me and you are booked solid to my disappointment so I’m having to try things myself. I have a homeopath I work with but he is not like you! I just need to stop the tinnitus right now and I don’t know how I’m going to survive the leg pain. It is severe and the medicine was helping but side effects are even worse sometimes. I hate drugs too that’s why I need you!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Regina, there is a waiting list to meet with me but it’s moving along, so don’t hesitate to contact my office and get your paperwork submitted.

      1. Regina says:

I will. Thanks so much Joette.

  41. Ann taylor says:

I am taking this Tellurium and Conium now. Is one pellet a dose? Or do I need to take 5 pellets each time?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

The number of pills that comprise a dose is printed on the side of the bottle.

      1. katie says:

hello, Is the protocol for the conium 6c weekly or daily? Your blog says twice weekly but I saw another site that listed the bannerji protocol as 6c twice daily for the conium. Thank you for all you do Joette!

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

There are many ways to skin a cat.

          1. Sal says:

            Hi,

Can I use Conium 30c (on hand) or need more material dose of 6c ? Thanks

          2. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

You may use whatever you like but if you hope to experience the kind of results I’ve grown accustomed to observing you might want to stay with protocols.

  42. Neena says:

Joette I have ordered the Tellerium 200c, you say according to the Banerji protocols and your remedy card, to have it every three days, but is it three times a day every three days or only one dose of 5 pellets? And the conium maculatum 3c twice a day, till we see a difference? Thank you

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

When I say every 3 days, it means a dose every 3 days and a dose of the number of pills on the side of the bottle. Most manufacturing pharmacies determine that 5 pills are best.
We continue with medicines not until we note a difference but until there’s no more to go.
OR, until there is discomfort from having chosen the wrong medicine OR from using it too long.

      1. Neena says:

Thank you so much for clarifying, I have tinnitus in my right ear and the sound has elevated since a few weeks, I am so hopeful that this protocol works. Thank you again.

  43. Neena says:

Joette, I have started the Tellerium 200c every three days and Conium Mac 3c twice a day, I just ran out of the Conium Mac 3c and had ordered more of it, but the new bottle turned out to be 6c, what do I do? How do I take this?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

Exact potencies result in the best results. But as I always say, “Use what you’ve got(If it’s serious enough) until you can get what you need.”

  44. TJ says:

I am noticing a ‘hollow’ sound if I tap my head and a fulness on right side / ear. I have had dizziness off and on that I have linked with stress but the fulness or hollow sound is new and I am wondering if this protocol will also help or if I can be directed to another article for that? Thank you for your amazing work and advice!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

What I tell most folks is to use the medicine they find most closely comes to matching their symptoms and start there. It’s often surprising how often the medicine will act for satellite conditions.

    2. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

One more thought: Consider dental history when it comes to odd sensations in and around the head.

      1. TJ says:

Thank you so much. Yes I do have a dental history 😏 mercury and more… thank you for suggesting that too.

  45. Dawn says:

Joette my daughter has horrible vertigo started 8 weeks after she had her last baby. She wants to start the Banerji protocol but Tellurium 200 is out of stock. I have one vial but that will not last her the duration. Do you think it might work if we make a water solution using the pellets? At least until we can get another vial?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

Some often find a water solution to work well.

  46. Nancy says:

One thing I could not find in this thread is if there are any known side effects in taking Tellurium 200 or Conium Mac 3c?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

Side effects are related to synthetic drugs; not homeopathy.

  47. Dawn says:

Joette I just completed Allergic and now on to Mental course! Also bought Feminopathy ! Loving learning even at my age of 63! My question with regard to dizziness. If it starts post partum would that point to Sepia ? Accompanied by hypothyroid (treated poorly), always worse after birthing. The timeline for dizziness started with regard to birthing!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

I can’t say what ought to be used in this particular case but Sepia is a medicine that is often used for ailments related to postpartum. Sepia also covers thyroid conditions.
Study Sepia in your materia medica and you might be more confident on your choice.
And, so happy to have you on board!

  48. Joy says:

I have been doing this protocol for about 3 weeks now for tinnitus (meniere’s), and it definitely seems to be working! I can actually hear again. Is this a protocol that will need to be followed for life though?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

Homeopathy is not supplements nor synthetic drugs, it’s a medicine that’s intended to correct. The general method is that once the correction is made, it’s halted. If it returns, it’s taken up again as needed.
I urge you to learn more and join others online in my online study group, Gateway to Homeopathy so that you know how this should be done and consider its use for many other conditions

  49. Jack F Husted says:

I am a retired police officer. My ringing started after a 1979 gunfight. Ringing ever since?? I really love coffee as well which I understand can hinder results,? How can I contact your office, this thread was sent to me.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

Enjoy your coffee. I find that it doesn’t antidote homeopathics when the remedy is repeated as it is in this method.

      1. Jack F Husted says:

        Bless you

  50. Jack Husted says:

If as I mentioned if the cause is a very loud trauma is this protocol still indicated?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

Using a homeopathic medicine that addresses the cause could indeed be useful. It doesn’t mean the above will not also be called for but one could commence with the remedy that represents the etiology. I don’t offer specific remedy solutions here for many reasons but if you’re familiar with homeopathy enough to know the top remedy for injury (it has a huge reputation even among those with no knowledge of such) in a 200c for a few days or so you could watch for even minor shifts.

  51. JP says:

    Hello

Is there any protocol for a related problem, namely hyperacusis (hypersensitivity to sound) caused be some loud noise? I really haven’t found much info on this topic. Thanks.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, PHom M says:

There’s no specific protocol that I’m aware of but protocols are not the only way to address a condition. Should you be interested, homeopathy counts on a body of work called a homeopathic repertory that lists the medicines that have been found either clinically or through trials to be useful for just about every condition known to mankind.
Its there that more information can be studied.
Check out Robin Murphy’s MetaRepertory and look the appropriate section of the body.
