This week is an exciting one for me. I’ll be launching my newest (and very exciting) course titled, The Ultimate Cool Kids’ Guide to Homeopathy: Become a Revolutionary Independent Thinker with Practical Homeopathy.

My team and I have been putting in long hours to get this course just right.

The goal? To teach your kids the fundamentals and practical methods of homeopathy, while also keeping them engaged throughout the learning process. I promise this to be an adventure that will change your child’s future.

One of the biggest challenges in education is keeping kids interested enough in the subject matter to keep moving forward.

Teachers, school counselors, and even pediatricians know nothing of what I’m about to share with you.

Poor them. And pity the kids they have reign over.

But they’re not you.

Which brings me to today’s subject: Attention Deficit Disorder, aka ADD. For those who are new to homeopathy, it’s difficult to imagine it could fix such a condition, especially without mood-altering pharmaceuticals. But homeopathy can do just that.

I’ve seen the medicine I’m about to share with you act in a most profound way. Even change a kid’s life. In fact, positively change the lives of entire families.

And no more superfluous drugs.

No more frustration.

Super simple, inexpensive (less than $15 a bottle), and as always, side effect free.

Most people think of ADD as something homeopathy can’t fix. But it not only can, it often does.

As a homeopath who uses the method I’ve coined as Practical Homeopathy®, where I employ plenty of Banerji Protocols, I will tell you there are a couple of different protocols when it comes to the treatment of ADD. I’ll start with the one the Drs. Banerji taught me during my eight years studying side by side them in India:

ADD, or Attention Deficit Disorder is often best met with Hyoscyamus 6C twice daily for a period of months.

It is not the only medicine we can choose for this condition, but as it was given to me as a privileged observer in their world-famous clinic, The Prasanta Banerji Homeopathic Research Foundation in Kolkata, I learned it is one of the best for treating Attention Deficit Disorder. And in my practice, I’ve witnessed plenty of kids benefited by this method.

So, whether your child is homeschooled, privately schooled or publicly schooled, if it’s clear that he simply cannot remain focused, is disengaged, and is not able to move forward, Hyoscyamus 6C is one of homeopathy’s little secrets every family should know about.

Now, remember, as always this is medicine and ought not to be used without certainty that it is indeed needed and that it ought to be halted if it does no good. It should also not be used longer than 6 weeks if there is uncertainty. At this juncture, it's time to assess. If the medicine has shown some improvement in the child's behavior but more is needed, it's an indication that the medicine was well chosen and more time using it is in order.

One more thought you might want to consider: Diet can play an important role in behavior. More on that in future postings.

Now if you think this information is important enough for you to know, perhaps you’ll want your child to have his/her hand on the pulse of how to use homeopathy and a life of self-reliance. Especially for those conditions you thought were not possible to treat without conventional drugs.

In my new course, I plan to teach your kids the foundations of homeopathy, along with how to treat their pets and livestock. Oh, and of course their future family.

Please consider joining me with your family and together we can change the world with common sense, traditional values and safer, more efficacious medicines!!

Warmly,

Joette Calabrese

I am a homeopath with a worldwide practice working with families and individuals via Zoom. I'm also a teacher and most importantly, a mom who raised my now-adult children depending on homeopathy over the last 31 years. I lived decades of my life with food intolerances, allergies, and chemical sensitivities until I was cured with homeopathy, so I understand pain, anxiety, and suffering. You may feel that your issues are more severe or different than anyone else’s, but I have seen it all in my practice and in my work in India. My opinion is that nothing has come close to the reproducible, safe and effective results that my clients, students and I have achieved with homeopathy.

Call today and learn how homeopathy might just be the missing piece in your health strategy.

Joette is not a physician and the relationship between Joette and her clients is not of prescriber and patient, but as educator and client. It is fully the client's choice whether or not to take advantage of the information Joette presents. Homeopathy doesn't "treat" an illness; it addresses the entire person as a matter of wholeness that is an educational process, not a medical one. Joette believes that the advice and diagnosis of a physician is often in order.

  1. Barb says:

Is Hyoscyamus 6C effective for adults diagnosed with ADD to help them focus or is it only for children?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

      Adults and children alike.

  2. Melissa Utter says:

Homeopathy instead of scary drugs? Yes, please! I am constantly appalled by the number of children who are put on horrible pharmaceuticals in the name of “bettering their lives.” No way. Thank you for showing that there is a much better method to heal our children and families!

  3. Carrie says:

I thought Hyoscyamus 6c was a second line medicine for ADHD. (Helpful for Jealousy and restlessness.) I understood Stramonium (Anger or underlying fear) and Aethusa was the first line. Is this an update?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

      Read the article carefully.

  4. Pam says:

I have been searching for something natural to help my daughter focus on her schoolwork. We homeschool and she gets distracted so easily. This seems like an answer to prayer. Thank you.

  5. Kim says:

What about ADHD, where symptoms are hyperactivity/impulsivity?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I cover all aspects of behavior problems in my course titled “Mindful Homeopathy” including ADHD.

      1. Fiona Benichou says:

Hi, I am trying to find the course titled “Mindful Homeopathy” under your main page –> Shop –> Courses but cannot locate it. I have a 9year old son with hyperactivity/impulsivity as well and trying to find solutions here. Thank you!

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

If this doesn’t help, let my office or me know.

  6. Susie says:

Are you ever going to publish a book w all the remedies? Will your academy me for becoming a licensed homeopath?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I have published a materia medica that’s available on my site. My guess is that you’re not asking that. You’re interested in a therapeutic index. That’s where my courses come in when it comes to more complex conditions because it’s not just a matter of knowing which medicine is used for what but case management and an undergirding of the method.

  7. Georgia says:

Can you let us know specifically what aspects of ADD it would help? Organization, retention, impulsiveness… Also, when administered for 6 weeks, how long do we wait to use it again? Thank you!!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

      Yes.
No waiting if it’s acting but not complete.
      Read the article carefully.

  8. Cindy says:

Hello Joette. Thank you so much. You said, ” I will tell you there are a couple of different protocols when it comes to the treatment of ADD.” Wondering if you could share the other? My college son, age 23, tried Hyoscyamus Niger 6c for 8 weeks, then continued a few weeks more per Banergi instruction, but could tell no difference in his ability to focus. We were told that it may not help because he does not have the “hyperactive” trait. He does have much trouble focusing on the task at hand, and multi-tasking, completing assignments/projects unless he is hyper-focused on the things he is passionate about – music, photography. He has completed his degree, but is very concerned that these deficiencies are incredibly challenging as he pursues the workplace and life in general. Thank you so much for any direction.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I cover all of this thoroughly in my course, “Mindful Homeopathy”. Having said that, foods can have a large impact on this condition as well.

    2. Staci says:

I have to admit Joette is right about foods making a difference. I had already been gluten, soy, and almost if all processed foods free but I didn’t see a significant improvement and shift until I gave up coffee all together. I was so sure Joette was exaggerating about the coffee thing for a long time, haha.
Cleaning up the diet is the probably the hardest aspect of the healing journey but it pays dividends in speeding up results and preventing further chronic issues down the road.

  9. Kathy says:

One of the big game changers for our son with ADHD was identifying that Yellow #5 and Yellow #6 caused him to be hyperactive. I could not figure out why my son was so hyperactive and had been praying diligently for an answer. He was 5 years old when we figured it out. My mother-in-law gave us some of those yellow cheese balls in a big clear plastic container as a gift on a Friday afternoon. I could not figure out why my son was so hyperactive that weekend as he was SUPER hyperactive. When we went to brush his teeth Sunday night, he asked me how do they get those cheese balls that funny orange color? Out of the mouths of babes…a bell went off in my brain about an article I had read a couple of months before on food coloring and hyperactivity. I checked it and found Yellow #5 and Yellow #6 listed.

This changed our lives. Out went all the processed food, you cannot believe how many things have Yellow #5 or Yellow #6 in them. Caramel colorings, cheese sauces, baked goods, etc. Whole Foods diet all the way. We could tell in 2 weeks if he had the dyes. Besides the hyperactivity, he speaks very loudly. We can still tell today as a teenager if he has encountered the dyes and are using Aethusa 200C for it and his reaction is getting better.

    1. Lisa says:

Yes Kathy, you are so right! We learned in 2002 when our son was 5 of his response to red dye 40, setting us on the hunt for more. We found Dr Feingold’s Diet and followed his recommendations, eliminating all artificial colors, flavors & certain preservatives. His hyperactivity attribute would always expose a “violation” in his diet that we could track it back to. Quite an amazing revelation but as Joette says, the diet is a major component to healthy living. Thank you Joette for all you do!

  10. Ann Volle says:

Could you recommend another place to purchase this remedy besides Amazon? Thank you

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

      Boiron.

  11. Genevieve Pazdan says:

Oh my word! I started my son on 5 pellets of Hyoscyamus Niger 30c, twice a day and he’s like a new person! He’s sleeping in! He used to get up at 5/5:30 every morning. Now he’s sleeping past 6:30. He also is doing his homework without nagging and is concerned about his tests. Lol. He used to act like school had no bearing on his life and now he is engaged. Wow! I’m wondering if I’m giving him to much or too high of a dosage. Also, do you sell an “all access pass” for all of your courses? I just love learning about these natural remedies!

  12. jennifer says:

My spouse tells me that he has bad anxiety especially in the morning, he also has OCD.
He would like help with that. Is there a remedy
for that? Where is the best place to ask for
help, not sure if this is it? Interested in homeopathy
    Thanks Jenn

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I have written here on the blog about these conditions so you can look here but if you’re seeking an in-depth, step-by-step method of how to approach such, I urge you to consider my online course “Mindful Homeopathy.”

  13. Priya says:

    Good evening ma’am

I am from India .my child has adhd with learning disability.can you please suggest homeopathic medicine for him.it would be very grateful if you can help us in any way.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

I teach an entire online course on that subject should you be interested. It’s titled Mindful Homeopathy.

  14. Debbie says:

Can you tell me if this will help Tourette’s Syndrome or if there is something that will. It would be for an 11 year old.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

I believe I covered this condition in my online course titled Mindful Homeopathy.

  15. Anna Lazos says:

Where can i learn how to to help my son wth autism? Do you have a course where you teach that?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

      Yes!
My online course titled “Mindful Homeopathy”.
But given the strong connection to the gut and potential of toxins, it’s also inadvertently covered in my online course “Good Gut Bad Gut” and “Toxins” would be very useful as well.
If you’re a member of a Gateway Study Group there are frequent student buys that offer about 35% discount on these courses.
Good luck and don’t give up.
I regularly witness remarkable results using homeopathy for such conditions.

      1. Anna Lazos says:

I am not a Gateway Study Group member. How can I become one? I tried searching and got confused.

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

I’ll have Eileen in my office contact you. OR…you may try calling my office and ask for her.

  16. Monica Laughlin says:

Should I take my child off of the current medication he is on BEFORE giving him this recommended Hyoscyamus?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

I’m so sorry, but can’t offer personal advice on this forum.

  17. Jocelyn says:

Hello! Thank you for this. Is there a formula to help figure out which potency?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

No. Which is why I’m so keen on teaching my method. It’s because I teach and use protocols where the potency is baked into it.

  18. Julie says:

Hi Joette! I have learned so much from you over the last 7 months! Thank you! I have a question about the difference between your protocols and the Banerjee protocols. On a call with you recently you mentioned. When choosing a protocol always go with the Banerjee first line first because it will help 80% of the people. When I look at the Banerjee protocol it’s different than yours. Can you please explain how we would know which one to follow? Thanks again for all you do!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

I rarely use protocols much different than the Banerjis.

  19. S says:

What comes to your mind when told that the protocol will be missed a couple days each week due to the child having to go to another parent’s house? How would that affect the underlying goal?

    Thanks in advance!

  20. Babu says:

How do get Gateway Study Group members?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

If your question is how you can get a group together, contact Eileen in my office. She can help you get one started or if you’d like she can get you into one that’s presently forming. You may contact her here contact@JoetteCalabrese.com

  21. Naga says:

Hi Joette! Thank you so much for all you do. I am learning so much from your blogs and the GGBG course! The protocol for ADD includes Arethusa every 3rd day and for missed milestones it is given as 2 times daily. If a child presents with both would it be right to go with 2D?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

USe the condition that presents most strongly as your lead into which protocol to use.

  22. Alison says:

Hi, thank you so much for this information. The directions on the bottle say that adults should take four three times a day and children should take half that dose. If I give it to my son twice a day, how many should I give him?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

Hyos. has many, many uses and the bottle has no way of knowing what condition you’re using the medicine for.
If you believe that the protocols that I teach are correct, then you might want to consider following them.

      1. Alison says:

I apologize for the duplicate posts (I thought my first one hadn’t gone through). I am trying to follow your protocol but I didn’t see that you wrote anywhere how many pills to give. You said give it twice a day. How many pills should I give him each time?

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

The number of pills that comprise is printed on the side of the bottle.

          1. Alison says:

The bottle says the child dose is two pills three times a day. To clarify, I will follow their recommended dosing (two pills), but your recommended frequency (only two times a day)?

I also give my son Bacopa, NAC and vetiver oil to help him with attention/concentration. Is it okay to give those with the Hyoscyamus?

Btw, I recently watched your interview with Bettina Gross and it was so inspiring! I forwarded it to a friend whose daughter has a lot of health issues and who is just starting to wake up to the fact that conventional medicine won’t help, and that she has to take charge of her children’s health. You articulated that idea so well in the interview.

  23. Alison says:

Hi, thank you for providing this information. I have a question about dosing. I bought Hyoscyamus 6C from Washington Homeopathic and the directions say that adults should take four pills three times a day and children should take half that dose. If I give it to my 11-year-old son twice a day per your recommendation, how many pills should I give him each time? Thank you

  24. Elizabeth says:

Is it possible to have a delayed response/cure to ADHD after taking Hyoscyamus Niger 6c???? i gave my 10 yr old 2 pills twice a day dissolved under tongue for 6 wks. No change so I stopped. 4 weeks later out of nowhere basically overnight my child is close to cured. Huge huge very noticeable undeniable difference. The only other change is he stopped eating eggs(he was eating 2-5 a day)only because he became tired of them. I’ve searched “delayed response” to this medicine and found very little. Is this possible???

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, PHom M says:

I’ve witnessed this kind of response in the past.
      Nice work.

  25. Ricki Jones says:

Hi Joette, is there another place to get the hyoscyamus? When I click on the link it is no longer a link. Thank you!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, PHom M says:

      Helios Pharmacy in Gr. Britian

  26. Ricki says:

Hi Joette,I clicked on the link for the hyoscyamus 6C and it appears the link is no longer working. Is there another site I could get some from? Thank you
