Hi, friends! Buster the Bad Office Dog here. I know it's been a while since I've posted. But I couldn't pass up the opportunity to share this wonderful “tail” of how homeopathy helped save the life of one of my fellow furry friends.
I’ve heard that the method used to save the baby goat in this story is used for newborn humans as well. I hope you never have to put this method to use.
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Well, it often is for any female who is giving (unmedicated) birth, and so it was with a goat mama one morning who was kidding twins.
Stephanie had no idea that the doe was even pregnant! But to her shock—the first of the two kids was presenting headfirst.
Unlike humans, goats and many other hooved animals typically present front feet first, almost like they are diving into the world.
So, Stephanie had a big problem on her hands.
It was the worst of times.
At first, Stephanie thought the kid was dead — a stillborn — but upon inspection, she realized that there were some waning signs of life.
Usually, in a breech presentation such as this, one must push the kid’s head back into the mama goat, reach in and grab hold of the front two hooves, and guide them forward. The goal is to try to get the little goat back into the right position. It sounds simple enough in theory, but in practice, it is a slippery and wet challenge.
After about an hour of trying, Stephanie gave up and decided to gently pull the kid out at the next contraction by holding onto his shoulders. It worked!
Her excitement didn’t last long, as she soon realized that he wasn’t getting up to nurse. This became even more apparent after the second kid was born. By comparison, goat number two was an athlete! He was up, nursing and running about.
Stephanie knew she needed to immediately get that first kid some homeopathy, but—in her panic—she wasn’t quite sure what to do. So, she reached out to her fearless study group leader who, most fortunately, answered the phone on the first ring!
Like Stephanie, her group leader had also taken my class, The Survivalist’s Guide to Homeopathy, and together they designed a protocol for baby goat number one.
At first, they employed Arnica montana and Aconitum napellus. These were alternated every 10 minutes or so.
Next, after some further inspection, Stephanie saw that the kid had blue gums and showed other signs of not having enough oxygen at birth. Homeopath-midwives around the globe know exactly what remedy to give when there is a newborn in a situation such as this: Carbo veg.
Interestingly, Carbo vegetabilis a homeopathic remedy made from vegetable charcoal. One should think of this remedy when there is collapse (like fainting). The breathing presents as shallow, and the person will often feel cold to the touch. The face can also be pale, puffy, and may have a yellowish-greenish tint.
You can see here how our little goat’s eyes are swollen, and that with the blue gums, he fits this Carbo veg symptom picture.
It was with Carbo veg 30 that things really started to shift for baby goat. Within an hour, his eyes opened.
Less than 30 minutes later, he began to try standing up … he wobbled a lot, but an hour and a half later, he could do it on his own.
An hour after that? Well, this little kiddie was moving about just like his brother. He was still a bit weaker, but he had really perked up.
Stephanie continued the Carbo veg 30 and the Arnica 200 over the next several days, but with much less frequency.
You can see here that kid number one (with the white on his back half) was doing well keeping up with his twin.
Two days later it was even more evident. Today, about a month later, you wouldn’t know which of the kids had a traumatic birth and which one didn’t!
And so it is, as it often goes with homeopathy, that we have a happy ending to this story: the tale of two kiddies.
Warmly,
Buster (The Bad Office Dog)
I am a homeopath with a worldwide practice working with families and individuals via Zoom. I'm also a teacher and most importantly, a mom who raised my now-adult children depending on homeopathy over the last 31 years. I lived decades of my life with food intolerances, allergies, and chemical sensitivities until I was cured with homeopathy, so I understand pain, anxiety, and suffering. You may feel that your issues are more severe or different than anyone else’s, but I have seen it all in my practice and in my work in India. My opinion is that nothing has come close to the reproducible, safe and effective results that my clients, students and I have achieved with homeopathy.

What is the dosage for the kid? 6xor 30x or 200? And the dosage and frequency over the next days? And if a human baby, how would you change the dosage?
I saw carbo veg and arnica are 30x but still wonder about dosage for human infant.
The number of pills is printed on the side of the bottle as to how many comprise a dose.
I had a similar experience with a litter of puppies. Their mother needed an emergency C-Section. There were 9 puppies which is a lot for the terrier breed that they are. 5 puppies were not able to be rescusitated during the surgery, which had never happened to me before, but that is another issue. I took the remaining 4 puppies home (the next day) since they would not let me take them home that night; another thing that never happened to me before. I saw that one of the four was not going to make it and then one of the three remaining puppies that looked like they had a chance went limp and stopped breathing. I got her heart beating again and saw she could not get air into her lungs and was gasping like a fish. I fortunately knew about Carbo Veg and gave her a couple of doses of 30C as that was the potency I had on hand. She came through fine and is now a healthy 2 1/2 year old.
Excellent!
Carbo veg, known as the “corpse reviver”.
You should check both kids for underbite. One tablet of Calc. Phos. 30X given two or three times a day will usually stimulate the underdeveloped upper facial bones to grow to normal in about two weeks. The sooner a newborn is given the Calc. Phos. 30X, the better the growth to a normal bite. I usually give both one tablet of Bioplasma and one tablet of Calc. Phos. 30X to newborns because adding the Bioplasma tablet usually hastens the complete growth to a normal bite. This has also resulted in young children as old as three years of age to grow to have a normal bite, but I don’t know how long it takes. I do not take care of children, their parents do. I just saw them before and after the parents gave them the cell salts.
When I had milk goats, when I gave a tablet of Calc. Phos. and a tablet of Bioplasma to each pregnant doe, their kids did not have birth defects, like they had before I began giving the cell salts. I gave each kid one Bioplasma and one Calc. Phos. 30X tablet as soon as they were born. They got up and suckled in half the time it took for kids to get up and suckle that weren’t given the cell salts. I timed them.
Also, if an animal (including humans) have a broken bone, it always heals in half the time when I give them one tablet of Calc. Phos. 30X and one tablet of Bioplasma at least morning and night. I usually give both tablets three times a day. When an older woman walked into her doctors office carrying the cast off of her broken ankle just three weeks after she broke it, the receptionist reacted quite strongly, but the doctor said the leg was completely healed. She took the two cell salt tablets three times a day. I have never broken a bone, but as a wildlife rehabber, I have helped heal the bones of a lot of wild birds and mammals. Again, I timed the recovery. With Calc. Phos. 6X and Bioplasma given three or four times a day the recovery time was exactly 2/3 the recovery time without the cell salts. With Calc. Phos. 30X and Bioplasma given three or four times a day the recovery time was exactly half the recovery time without the cell salts. It takes 5-6 days for a young bird’s bone to heal when given the Calc. Phos. 30X and Bioplasma. It took 10-12 days without the cell salts. For people, doctors always say 6 weeks to heal. The three humans I know of who took the Calc. Phos. 30X and Bioplasma while their broken bone was healing all were completely healed in three weeks.
Hello joette,
I just wanted to share with you yet another dramatic win for homeopathy.
Our 12 week old puppy, which had been with us all of 48 hrs., in her adorable playful way, leaped backwards right into our pool. She nearly drowned. She was coughing up blood, very weak, gums pale woth very labored breathing. I forgot about homeopathics in the moment.
We ran her to our neighborhood vet who gave her intense care (oxygen and and IV fluids and diuretic )for the day. They insisted she needed ICU at a very expensive hospital overnight. We could not pay the fees. So we took her home on IV fluid and oxygen (I’m a nurse) . Upon Arrival home I found this protocol and gave her carb. Veg and arnica. I’ll skip the rest of the details, but by 7 am the fluid in her lungs was nearly gone, and she was running around and frisky. and by noon her lungs were clear. The vet was shocked and said he didn’t expect her to live, never mind make a full recovery in 24 hours. Thank you homeopathy and Joette for sharing your vast knowledge with us moms with moxie. I use it nearly every day for my family, pets, and children at our orphan ministry.
ANd they call it placebo! Great job Amy.
