Hi, Folks!

Buster the Bad Office Dog, here.

The world seems topsy-turvy to me these days.

When I’ve gone out for my walk, I’ve noticed many humans are wearing muzzles across their faces … and I don’t think they’ve even bitten anyone!

What’s up with that?

And the beach! It’s empty!

I’ve always loved to look at the waves and the sand longingly — I don’t get to go on the beach.

As the sign says, “No dogs allowed.” (I hate that sign.)

Well, these days, it seems you’re not allowed to go on many beaches either — even if you’re wearing your muzzle.

For the first time in my life, I’ve heard you being told, “Stay!”

Welcome to my world, humans!

Now you know what it feels like to be a dog, banned from the beach.

Forgive me for saying so, but it seems like you have a lot of unusual things going on right now.

When we were out walking recently, my mom ran into someone she knew. (I’m not sure who it was because she was completely covered up with masks and gloves and hats and stuff.)

But the friend seemed terribly concerned as Mom approached to say hello.

“No, no … don’t come close!” she muffled through layers of fabric!

Granted, Mom hasn’t been to the groomer lately, but she does take showers and looks presentable. So, I wasn’t quite sure why the friend was so insistent that Mom keep her distance.

Then Mom explained something to me — something called a “virus.” Apparently, it’s causing even more trouble than I do!

Mom said sometimes health-related events like this current problem could trigger germaphobia!

People who are usually able to cope with venturing into the world can be triggered into experiencing almost full-blown mania!

I’ve overheard Mom teach that Arsenicum album is an excellent medicine for germaphobia and extreme restlessness.

You may have seen this restlessness in one of your fellow humans — someone in constant motion, straightening a picture, picking up a lint fleck, rearranging the books on the coffee table, puffing pillows.

They’re trying to settle the environment around them in order to feel settled inside their own bodies.

You may remember I’ve experienced being overwrought myself, and Mom’s given me Arsenicum, too.

Sometimes, I turn around several times before lying down.

Sometimes, I have to get up again and turn around a few more times.

Sometimes, I have to run, look for Dad, and then come back and lie down.

These people are like that, too! They’re up; they’re down.

They say, “I’m just going to sit here and calm myself.”

Nope. They’re back up.

They look out the window.

Sit back down.

Get up and close the drapes.

Sit in a different chair.

Nope. Get up and clean … and on it goes.

It’s as though they are desperately looking for home but can’t find it — even though they’re already there.

Mom said they might also display tremendous anxiety and fear of death along with this restlessness.

Germaphobia and this type of extreme restlessness can range from uncomfortable to debilitating.

But Arsenicum album 200 is an excellent medicine to help your human return to normal— once daily until the condition is improved, then stopped and only resumed as needed (but generally no longer than a few days or so).

Plus, Arsenicum album has the added advantage of being a specific medicine for viruses where there could be nausea, thirst, diarrhea and also great fatigue (which is one of the hallmarks of the particular virus).

Mom always knows best. I’m so lucky to have her.

But here she comes again, so I have to get off her computer!

I’m telling you, having her at home so much more now makes it very difficult for me to get into trouble.

I sure hope things return to normal soon before I become Buster the Well-Behaved Office Dog!

Nope. That will never do!

P.S. Joette, here.

I can’t quite understand why there are paw prints on my keyboard … along with a blog post I didn’t write. Hmmm. Curious.

But while I have you here, please let me encourage you to take this time you might have spent on the beach to continue your education in homeopathy.

Better yet, continue your education and make new friends.

My Gateway to Homeopathy: A Guided Study Group Curriculum will enable you to form your own Study Group, or you can join one created by another like-minded leader. (Find a Study Group here.)

Probably one of the more fascinating advantages of being in a Study Group is that you’ll potentize your own learning curve.

If you know nothing about homeopathy … that’s perfect. This is your “Gateway!

If you already know plenty about homeopathy, I promise — yes, I promise — you’ll learn faster and better by being involved in a Study Group.

Why?

Because members will bring in questions you had never considered.

They’ll bring complicated cases to the table — cases you’ll be drawn into and will work to solve as a team.

Use my practical method to fold homeopathy into your life — seamlessly.

As I’ve said before, we can do this— mother-to-mother, family-to-family, linking arms across the world.

I am a homeopath with a worldwide practice working with families and individuals via Zoom. I'm also a teacher and most importantly, a mom who raised my now-adult children depending on homeopathy over the last 31 years. I lived decades of my life with food intolerances, allergies, and chemical sensitivities until I was cured with homeopathy, so I understand pain, anxiety, and suffering. You may feel that your issues are more severe or different than anyone else’s, but I have seen it all in my practice and in my work in India. My opinion is that nothing has come close to the reproducible, safe and effective results that my clients, students and I have achieved with homeopathy.

Call today and learn how homeopathy might just be the missing piece in your health strategy.

i’m enjoying everything about homeopathy I have learned so far. As a nurse and one who loves the natural and herbal way I am looking forward to the continual learning and how to build and rebuild my family to a healthy life. Thanks

Hilarious! Buster is a great writer too. I hope the woman who became frantic about you getting to close can tap into some peace and allow it to settle in and take a break from the chain of pain news. Thank you for the information on arsenicum album. And thank you for creating the gateway classes. I’ve taken them both twice! Incredible and wonderful. Just like you.

Trying to understand why the Banerji,s recommended
      THuja as a preventative?

Herbal prep .is antiviral according to PUBMED.
But homeopathic THUJA ? DO you know of their results ?

I have used ars.alb as preventative.

Thank you for doing such amazing work.

      1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

The Banerjis have found that THuja is specific for viruses.

  6. Claire says:

Loved the perspective from Buster! Come to think of it, dogs (and some other pets) must be noticing all the changes in human behavior these days. I have a tendency to clean a lot when i am having anxiety and perhaps Ars-alb will be helpful for the anxiety that causes me to do this (as i am not normally a fastidious or compulsive cleaner). Thank you this article; would not have occurred to me!

  7. Laurie says:

very cute and heartwarming, Buster. I’m an animal lover, volunteering at our local animal shelter, and I always love hearing from you. The information about the Arsenicum is a good reminder to use it during these times of unprecedented worry, restlessness and fear of the unknown. Thanks so much for your words of wisdom. I hope that things return to normal soon, too, because where’s the fun in being a well-behaved office dog?????
with much admiration for you and of course, your mom, too.

  8. Gaylene says:

Love your posts Buster. What an delight you are and so knowledgeable.

  9. Donna Bullock says:

just love hearing from Buster the office dog…. So smart…and he teaches me a lot…. Thank you…..

  10. Annette Dollard says:

I´m looking for tips on how to administer homeopathy for dogs? My dog, Cookie, refuses to take anything that cannot be hidden in her food. I have tried using a dropper or similar to administer in her mouth, but she fights me off like I´m trying to kill her! My only option is to add the medicine to her bowl of water, but it doesn´t seem to be very effective. Any suggestions?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

If a pill per ounce of water is added, it ought to work. But if you’ve tried that and there’s still no change, you might make sure that your pills are sucrose, not lactose and see if she’ll take them from your hand.
If that’s still a problem, purchase the medicines in water or alcohol, put in a spray bottle and spray it at her mouth, nose, in ears or under her tail.

      1. Annette Dollard says:

Thank you! I will try some of your suggestions. She is really quite difficult to work with, unfortunately. I did wonder if I could simply rub some of the pill-in-water solution on her skin. I will try the spray version. Thank you!

  11. Sue Fetzer says:

Our vet Dr. Cindy L. from Colden gives us nosodes. We just open the dog’s mouth, and drop it. Easy!

  12. Rachel says:

    Mrs. Calabrese,

I have seen this behavior in family members as we waited over a sick loved one in the hospital! Fear of someone else’s death with extreme restlessness but it would alternate with grief & tears… might you use both Ignatia and Arsenicum for that, alternating?

    Thank you!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

If necessary. but more often than not, the correct medicine will usually do the trick.
