It’s Time to Smell the Flowers

Allergies Uprooted
If you had told me years ago that I would be able to cozy up to a bouquet of big yellow flowers like these — without my allergies sending me running far, far away — I would have told you that you didn't know what you were talking about.

Back then, I had allergies so severe they were debilitating. But through homeopathy, look at me now!

And what's more, is where these flowers were located. This photo was taken on my recent fellowship in Kolkata, where allergens are everywhere. Before, a crowded city filled with tightly trafficked roads, cigarette smoke and perfumes (not to mention gardens) would have been an allergic asthma attack waiting to happen. But now, I get to enjoy this great city without wishing I were in a plastic bubble.

I’ve shared various homeopathic medicines for allergies with you before, but I’m especially fond of Calcarea carbonicum 200Ctaken every other day for immunity conditions.

Then there's Bovista 200C for generalized allergies and food intolerances. It has become a favorite of mine after witnessing its success while working with Drs. Prasanta and Pratip Banerji at their Homeopathic Research Foundation in India.

These medicines are renowned for their ability to uproot allergies and restore a person's quality of life, free from the grips of allergic misery. It may take months, even many. But when given time, the results often soften over time.

I understand how anxious folks are about getting rid of allergies; I suffered from my own for decades. No, wait. Make that over a quarter of a century! So I was prepared to give the homeopathics at least months to a year. Healing is usually not immediate or even linear (some show improvement for a while, then experience a setback after exposure to some unexpected allergen, or even from nothing in particular at all.) But with these homeopathics, it has been shown that healing is achievable.

If you have allergies, remember that modern medicine has written you off. The CDC says, “There is no cure for allergies. Strict avoidance of the allergen is the only way to prevent a reaction.”

I beg to differ. I spent decades living in a bubble. Things improved when I stopped taking prescription drugs and changed my diet, but I was not cured. So, I kept searching until I found the thing that changed my life forever.

Want to learn some of the same homeopathic steps I took to clear myself of allergies? If so, check out Allergic?!

Learn more about the course, and download a FREE infographic to help get you started at http://allergies.joettecalabrese.comUpon your success, I’d love to see a picture of you taking a moment to smell the flowers. I don't think you'll be sorry you took the time to learn this!

I am a homeopath with a worldwide practice working with families and individuals via Zoom. I'm also a teacher and most importantly, a mom who raised my now-adult children depending on homeopathy over the last 31 years. I lived decades of my life with food intolerances, allergies, and chemical sensitivities until I was cured with homeopathy, so I understand pain, anxiety, and suffering. You may feel that your issues are more severe or different than anyone else’s, but I have seen it all in my practice and in my work in India. My opinion is that nothing has come close to the reproducible, safe and effective results that my clients, students and I have achieved with homeopathy.

Call today and learn how homeopathy might just be the missing piece in your health strategy.

    Thanks for this post Joette.
If I recall, you may have mentioned that the “200” dose should only be used by clinical homeopaths. Is that correct? If not, I have found it very difficult to find the “200” dose of and wonder if there is a place that you know of that they can be purchased.

I really would like to try some thing for my adult son who is skeptical, but desperate. If I can get this to work for him, he may be open to more nutritional input which has really needs. I am a recently graduated Nutritionist)

Amazon sells 200 potencies (Boiron) and if you’re using the protocols I teach here on my blog, no worries about employing 200 if its part of the protocol.

  2. angelava says:

Thank you for this! Are you recommending using both the Calc Carb and the Bovista in the treatment of allergies at the same time, or choosing one over the other? Thank you!!

  3. Janet Langford says:

Joette, Can you tell us how to download the infographic where it will be big enough to be a full page and readable? I cannot get any of your infographics large enough and they are blurry even at the very small size and we cannot read any of the writing.
    Thanks

Im sending your statement along to my technical support person and will get back to you.

  4. Nancy Hamm says:

Joette, Could you please tell us the frequency of the Bovista 200

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I used it ever other day, but there is an entire, specific method around it as well, depending on how the symptoms present.

  5. Esther says:

Would it be OK to give these protocols to a dog with severe food allergies? And would you give it with the same frequency?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I use homeopathic medicine for dogs, cats, goats, birds, etc and in the same potencies and frequencies. These are protocols.

  6. Leah Bailey says:

Would this be okay to give my three month old baby? Would less potent be recommended for a baby so young? Thanks in advance!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Its not the potency I’d be concerned about with a baby, but rather that you’d be giving a medicine for allergies. Are you certain the baby has allergies?

      1. Leah Bailey says:

        Yes, Seasonal allergies for sure!

  7. Rachel says:

Thank you! I enjoy reading and learning from your blog. I am currently taking the protocol for acne and I know I have food intolerances as well. Is it a bad idea to take the Bovista right now? I realize it would need to be taken a different time of day…

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

We often use a medicine for a specific such as a skin condition as well as one for the underlying cause.

  8. Jennifer says:

How often do I take the bovista 200 c for allergies? I purchased from Washington homeopathic products and they don’t say a frequency on the package like Boiron does. They just say to put four pills under tongue and repeat as required. It doesn’t say three times a day or anything. Please help!

  9. Ps&Qs says:

Two days after taking the 200c Calc Carb for allergies, the lumps in my left breast grew in size quite a bit. They are now visible to the eye and pain sits in them. Do you count this type of reaction as a positive thing as if something is healing and continue or a negative and use a different remedy?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Without taking your case, I can’t comment specifically but the general rule of thumb is that if a homeopathic causes problematic changes, the medicine should be halted. CC is not for everyone with allergies; there are a handful of others that ought to be considered as well.

Should you be interested, my course titled “Allergic!” covers the others and specifics on how to choose.

      1. Ps&Qs says:

I know this will sound irrational but I took a higher dose of CC at a 1m out of curiosity since I often have odd or sensitive reactions to all medicinal substances. This morning I awoke to the lumps having shrunk by 1/3 and my allergy eyes were really crusted, which doesn’t normally happen to me. I’m fascinated by the reaction of the 1m opposed to the 200c.

  10. L says:

Joette, is your allergy class or the gut class best if you have chronic SIBO?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

SIBO is most fully covered, as I recall, in Good GUt Bad GUt.

  11. Meraf says:

    Hi Joette,

Would the Bovista 200 protocol help with histamine intolerance? I react to bone broth and other high histamine foods. I understand Bovista is good for food intolerances, but I am just not sure if it also applies for histamine intolerance.

    Thanks in advance!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

The term “histamine intolerance” is overthinking something as simple as garden-variety food intolerance.

  12. AC says:

Is it okay to use calc carb and bovista at the same time? Do they have to be on alternate days?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

If absolutely necessary they may be used in the same schedule but if they’re both being used for the same condition, such as allergies or food intolerances its overkill. I assume you’ve taken my course titled Allergic or GOod Gut Bad GUt, where these details are fleshed out.

  13. cjd says:

Hello, I have been using your blog for about a year as a search tool for the things that come up in a busy family of seven. Recently I’ve been looking into healing chronic allergies. In taking Calcarea carbonicum 200 – some places it is recommended to take every other day and others suggest every third day. Could you clarify? I’m looking forward to taking your classes – just trying to decide where to start. I love how much I’m learning just from your free resources. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

If allergies are a problem in your family, I can’t urge you enough to take my online course “Allergic” Until you delve further, you’ll likely only touch the surface, and allergies require more involvement and deeper understanding that only a course dedicated to the subject can provide.
It’s in that course that you’ll get a better picture of how CC is used including case management which is essential

  14. Elissa says:

Does this work with a human allergic to a dog? My husband has terrible allergies to our vizsla.
    Thanks!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

      Certainly.

  15. Donna Huff says:

When do you recommend starting to take Calcarea Carb? At the onset of symptoms or before symptoms? Also, when you say “uproot” will that make the symptoms worse for a while?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, PHom M says:

We use CC when we recognize that there is this chronic condition. Getting worse?
No. THat’s the model when using the classical method. I don’t use/teach classical homeopathy.
