Violet was facing a dilemma.
She had dandruff.
Not much of a problem, you say?
Well, in her case it was. Violet has owned a beauty salon for 20 years. She fashioned herself an expert on every skin and hair product on the market.
The anti-aging creams, acne gels, hair lighteners, hair dyes, dandruff shampoos: she had tried and applied them all.
Yet over the years, her skin grew dry, and she had an increasingly itchy scalp, complete with embarrassing white flakes.
For all her expertise, nothing seemed to help.
But that wasn’t all of her dilemma. Violet’s friend Nora was studying homeopathy. Nora had struggled for years with a gastrointestinal problem and food intolerances and finally found relief through homeopathy.
She was so smitten with her results that she started to take courses and shared what she learned with Violet.
Nora kept telling her that she should never put anything on her skin that she wouldn’t eat. The skin is the largest organ in the body and the main defense system between the internal organs and the outside world. It also absorbs everything put on it, with as much efficiency as the stomach and intestines absorb what is eaten.
Barraging or even occasional usage of unnatural products, as well as steroid creams and other drugs, put the body into overload trying to deal with the toxins while driving the condition deeper into the body. This condition in turn would eventually return, or worse yet, convert into a more serious form.
Halfheartedly, Violet examined the ingredients in the products she was using and discovered that every one of them included unpronounceable and questionable ingredients: chemicals, artificial fragrances, dyes and preservatives.
And so Violet had to face the unpleasant truth that much of her career had centered on products and procedures that did more harm than good.
Thus, her dilemma: Should she abandon everything she knew about beauty products?
More importantly, what would happen to her health if she did not? Would her dandruff and minor skin ailments eventually turn into something much worse?
Nora’s most recent course on homeopathy taught her that Antimonium crud 6, taken twice daily, was what her teacher called the Banerji Protocol for dandruff.
What did Violet have to lose? First, the flaking became less prominent; then the itching subsided. Within a few months, her scalp felt more comfortable … something she hadn’t experienced in years.
She dumped her chemical-laden beauty products, as she espoused a new lifestyle and was hooked.
She too began to study homeopathy along with Nora and committed to learning about products that were safe to put on her skin: things like goat’s milk soap and coconut oil as a moisturizer and conditioner.
She even rubbed unsalted butter on her hands and found it to be soothing and one of the best hand lotions she ever used!
She also found a whole new world of beauty products that didn’t involve expensive creams and perfumed shampoos.
Her discoveries were so captivating she converted her beauty salon into all-natural products.
Sure, some people didn’t like it, and she lost a few clients, but she found a whole new following of people who were looking for a better way to be beautiful.
And now, when Violet faces a health problem, whether an injury, an upset stomach, a fever, the flu or a rash, instead of robotically reaching for an over-the-counter drug or scheduling a doctor’s appointment, she visits her homeopathy kit and refers to her small library of books for sound advice.
She is thrilled with the independence it gives her, not to mention the money she saves on drugs and visits to doctor’s offices.
Violet’s dilemma has taken her to new heights with her skin, her overall well-being, renewed fortitude and an edge on the beauty market. She owes it all to an itch to move her forward … and homeopathy.
Like marbles in a bag, when problems rub together, they polish each other and allow an overall solution to emerge.

Violet saw that her past poor health decisions do not have to influence her future. She cured her chronic skin condition with a practical homeopathic protocol that she didn’t learn from her dermatologist, but from a friend.

I am a homeopath with a worldwide practice working with families and individuals via Zoom. I'm also a teacher and most importantly, a mom who raised my now-adult children depending on homeopathy over the last 31 years. I lived decades of my life with food intolerances, allergies, and chemical sensitivities until I was cured with homeopathy, so I understand pain, anxiety, and suffering. You may feel that your issues are more severe or different than anyone else’s, but I have seen it all in my practice and in my work in India. My opinion is that nothing has come close to the reproducible, safe and effective results that my clients, students and I have achieved with homeopathy.
Call today and learn how homeopathy might just be the missing piece in your health strategy.
Joette is not a physician and the relationship between Joette and her clients is not of prescriber and patient, but as educator and client. It is fully the client's choice whether or not to take advantage of the information Joette presents. Homeopathy doesn't "treat" an illness; it addresses the entire person as a matter of wholeness that is an educational process, not a medical one. Joette believes that the advice and diagnosis of a physician is often in order.

For the dosage, is it 2x daily until the dandruff is no longer present?
For chronic as well as acute conditions, the method is to use a remedy until it is no longer needed. If it returns, that is an indication that it was not used long enough or that it simply needs to be repeated.
Pls pass on this on to your friends and relatives. We want homeopathy to thrive again in the U.S.
Would this be helpful for atopic eczema on the scalp too?
I can’t say “it would work”, but it is certainly a remedy choice worth considering. If you decide to try it, pls let me know. I love success stories! Then share it with your corner of the world.
What strikes me about this article is the difference in potency between remedies. I’ve used Antimonium crudum for itching, but since I don’t have dandruff I’ve never used it in a 6! It never ceases to amaze me the variations associated with different remedies and potencies!
I downloaded the Skinderella chart and placed an order for the wart remedies, but the chart does not specify what dose of antimonium crud to take only 200 for the arsenicum alb. Can you help?
I do trust all the ideas you’ve offered for your post. They are very convincing and can definitely work.
Nonetheless, the posts are very quick for newbies. May just you please prolong them a bit from next time?
Thanks for the post.
One of my family members has been using this remedy for over six months with no signs of improvement for dandruff. He is extremely dry and flakey. Is it not the right remedy for him or should he continue it?
If there is no improvement over 6 months, then yes, it is the wrong remedy for him. You might want to look at what might be causing this. Sometimes it is a food intollerance or allergies in general.
reducing potatoes and enriched starches like wheat, rice, dry cereals, sugary foods, excesses. A person with a fast metabolism who eats carelessly without knowledge without proper info about what foods just don’t go together is going to have problems sooner or later. Traditional info on how to eat seems to be absent in most homes and in todays world it is all the more needed. Starches and sweet drinks probably play a big part in dandruff along with metabolism. Excesses could make it hard for even the right remedy to work. So I say seek a classical homeopath and study alternative nutrition. Learn what nutrition really means. And yes try the Antimonium Crudum 6
Henry, I agree with you,but after 29 years I have seen the most myopic diets including everything on your list not able to budge skin conditions. GAPS, paleo , etc. Its not until we employ homeopathy that we witness the shift. Additionally, after working in Calcutta seeing 100 patients daily, never once discussing foods, that the skin conditions resolve with homeopathy alone.
Food choices are important, but homeopathy trumps all.
What if there is a dandruff on the scalp but no itching? Almost like scabs
Without itching, we must consider something else, such as Hepar sulph, Petroleum, Arsenicum album, etc. I’ll write on these at a later date so as to explain the differentiation. Should you want super clarity, and don’t want to wait, check out my course, Skin:The Ugly Truth.
Is this dose appropriate for all ages? I am interested in trying this with my 18yo son, 15yo daughter, and 10yo daughter … They have been raised on a WAPF style diet – pastured meats, raw dairy, coconut oil, organic vegetables, bone broth, etc. – yet they each began to have horrible dandruff once they hit those puberty years. Essential oils, herbs, ACV, and even dandruff shampoos have not helped. I don’t get it – neither my husband nor I have ever had dandruff trouble. So is this dose appropriate for these ages? Thanks so much, and I will be eagerly awaiting your next article about dandruff without itching.
Use the dosage that is printed on the side of the bottle for ages.
If ant crud 6c seemed to help fall of 2016 and now dandruff is back in the last few months we are back on Ant Crud 6c without improvement. Very itchy now. Winter in Iowa. I am thinking going to Ant Crud 200 2D. Or would you try another remedy?
Without taking your case, I would not venture to offer specific advise.
Wondering about “dandruff-like” flaking on skin, no itch, no dandruff on scalp, just flakes of skin on face with patches of roughness, including a few actinic keratosis. Diet is rich in traditional fats and skin gets nothing but natural oils.
This protocol is pretty specific for the scalp.
What would be an appropriate treatment for excessive hair fall with no dandruff or itching?
Thanks for sharing all this information on dandruff. I am also a homeopath for hair fall and dandruff deases
How many pellets create one dose? I take three round balls, is that enough?
The number of pellets that comprise a dose is printed on the side of the bottle.
If you use Boiron you have to peel off the top label for dosage.
Is Anti Crud the first remedy to try bc Ive started taking the skin course and it says Hepar sulph and Arsenicum. It doesn’t mention anti crud for dandruff.
There are many medicines that may be chosen for each condition. I teach those that are the most commonly successful.
would this also be useful for Seborrheic dermatitis, or would psorinum 200 fit better? the circle patches with mild itchiness and large sticky white flakes are located on different patchy spots all over the scalp
Would this work for cradle cap on an infant?
