pollution, acne, ezcemaPollution is a problem. Foods contain pesticides. GMOs are everywhere. Formaldehyde is coated on our clothing and flame retardants on our mattresses. And then there are the oil spills.

We’re doomed. Right?

Yet consider a different take on pollution, one that may be much more important than external pollution. It might be the most vicious, most long-lasting, devastating pollution.

One that takes a more evident toll on health than GMOs and pesticides.

Interestingly, we not only willingly accept this kind of pollution, we even agree to it.

In fact, it’s not enforced like income taxes. Instead, you were convinced to respect it enough to buy it!

It is what I call personal pollution.

And it’s bold-facedly standing in your medicine cabinet!

Prescription medicines and OTC drugs.

Pharmaceuticals.

It’s euphemistically called medicine instead of what it actually is: pollution of a most personal nature.

Allow me to demonstrate the devastation that occurs in the wake of having taken, in many cases, only a round or two of a drug.

Meet Maureen. She’s lived her 27 years with nary a thought about health. Sometimes she can be found in the organic produce section but she also eats fast foods with MSG and has an occasional smoke.

For most of her life, health problems have not been an issue.

But not anymore.

Several months ago, she visited the doctor for a sinus infection and mentioned that she didn’t like the blemishes that appeared on her face monthly.

On the way home, she stopped to buy an antibiotic for the sinus infection and a prescription for birth control pills for the “acne.”

Her sinus infection was gone in about two days, and after a month of birth control pills her skin cleared up. All is well, right?

But then,

WHAM!

Soon after, perhaps it was days, weeks or maybe a month or two later, something happened.

She didn’t feel so well.

Her belly bloated after eating, constipation set in, and anxiety over silly things that never bothered her before became a new way of experiencing her days. She noticed that certain foods were causing abdominal pain and embarrassing gas. And she could no longer enjoy cheese, her favorite food.

Even her libido seemed to have been rearranged. (Her husband gently mentioned a few times.)

Maureen had developed chronic illness. She traded a minor skin problem and a sinus infection for a new life of incessant unwellness.

scales3

Like an obedient patient, she marched back to the doctor, where more drugs were prescribed along with a reproach that it must be her age (at 27?), stress or her genes.

This, my friends, is pollution of the most sobering sort. And more notably, one that is avoidable.

So, what is the solution? How do we stay clear of drugs that pollute the body and cause new and worse illness?

Well to start, if you have children, kick the pediatric habit. This is where it all begins.

This is where parents and children are trained to depend on “the professional” to take care of our health and to accept that taking drugs is normal behavior. This is where mothers are convinced that their instincts are not scientific enough, that fever should be met with Tylenol, that allergies should be tamped down with steroids, that young girls are birth-control-pill deficient and that up until only a few decades ago, breastfeeding is barbaric.

One pediatrician, however, stands alone and offers common-sense advice. That is Dr. Robert Mendelsohn in How to Raise a Healthy Child in Spite of Your Doctor. You’ll find this book by clicking here. He wisely warns parents that they need to take the care of their children into their own hands and offers an unyielding rationale.

Piggy-backing on that message, I urge you to learn to take care of the less-trying acute problems yourself, and when you’ve mastered that, learn to take on your family’s chronic illnesses.

How? I thought you’d never ask.

Learn how to use homeopathy and common sense methods. Know what is truly worthy of treatment and what is normal and ought to be left alone.

So, of course, take a stance on GMOs, insist on organic, but keep yourself and your family away from superfluous pharmaceuticals.

By doing so, you’ll protect your family from confounding, long-term gratuitous illness and save yourself some money.

____________________________________________________

So, let’s look at what Maureen could have done to take care of her minor problems instead of polluting her system with drugs.

For her sinus infectionSanguinaria 200 mixed with Belladonna 6, every 3 hours if severe or twice daily if mild. It’s likely that within a few days, she would be able to stop using this protocol (designed by the Banerjis), and her sinuses would be quite comfortable and well.

For her acne: Hepar sulph 200 twice daily for about 2 months. She would likely have noticed an improvement in that amount of time. The good Drs. Banerji assured me of this, and they were right. I see this work time and again.

This is not the forum for a long, in-depth discussion of chronic illness, such as food intolerances, allergies, Crohn’s, colitis, hormone imbalances, eczema, behavior disorders, depression, etc.

But should you be interested in learning how to root out these kinds of illnesses, consider contacting my office to determine if homeopathy is a fit for your health strategy to cure your family yourself, work with me directly or tutor with me. I welcome the opportunity to give you the help you need.

I am a homeopath with a worldwide practice working with families and individuals via Zoom. I'm also a teacher and most importantly, a mom who raised my now-adult children depending on homeopathy over the last 31 years. I lived decades of my life with food intolerances, allergies, and chemical sensitivities until I was cured with homeopathy, so I understand pain, anxiety, and suffering. You may feel that your issues are more severe or different than anyone else’s, but I have seen it all in my practice and in my work in India. My opinion is that nothing has come close to the reproducible, safe and effective results that my clients, students and I have achieved with homeopathy.

Call today and learn how homeopathy might just be the missing piece in your health strategy.

Are the sinus and acne protocol safe for nursing mother. My skin has gotten awful and though I eat organic, non gmo & unprocessed, I can not find relief. For sinus I had a swollen nose and became nauseous, chills diarea and racing heart dr said it was sinitus -cellulitis. I took an antibiotic as I was so sick and my natural dr did conesiology to determine I did have an infection. That was 2 months ago and I am still having nasal swelling and irritation.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I used homeopathic remedies during pregnancies (can’t imagine doing without them at that time)and certainly during my nursing years. There’d be no reason to be concerned during these times.

  2. Kayla says:

Oh, Joette, if only I had known about you back when I was 27 and dealing with such “small” issues!!! Now 53, I’ve lived my entire adult life with unrelenting chronic illness, and I believe much of it (though not all) is due to birth control pills, antibiotics for several bouts of strep throat, and sinus infections mostly due to severe intolerance to cigarette smoke (my father and both grandfathers smoked) during my 20s. I’m still desperately searching for wellness. I truly hope the young adults today will find and listen to you, before it’s too late!

  3. maggi says:

I agree with kayla. if only…..I have had life long illnesses due to second-hand smoke, misdiagnosis of hypoglycemia and gerd. at 66 I am now healthier than I have ever been but it took a long time and lots of work. my husband was native American indian and took good care of me in my late 20s-30s. I still try to keep myself as drug free as possible but I do take Prozac. I have OCD and it is the only thing I’ve ever taken that even takes the edge off. I have tried other things but nothing works as well. I’ve talked to my primary doc who is all for my homeopathic approach to my health but told me I would probably never be able to stop the Prozac. other than that, all is good. thanks for your great information.

  4. Lucy says:

Do the Banerji’s have a protocol for those women who are not yet ready to start a family but want to avoid birth control pills?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Not that I’m aware of, but I can’t recommend enough getting a comprehensive book or taking a course on natural family planning.

    2. Shana says:

I’ve heard of NFP working for some women. Some women’s bodies are stimulated to ovulate by the act of intercourse, so it doesn’t work for them.
Homeopathy works on a full-system level. Healthy bodies want to reproduce. If you mess with your body on a homeopathic level (energy), or on a chemical level (pharma) sufficiently to impede fertility, you’re likely to be screwed up in a lot of other areas as well.
My thought is that most women would do well to find a condom that works well.
Naturalamb is a great non-allergic option, but breaks easily.
Skyn is a non-latex that seems to do the job without allergic reactions, and holds up to energetic behavior better.
      Blessings (when & where they’re best-received 😉

  5. Wendy Presant-Jahn, ND says:

I have been following your blogs for some time now, with great interest. I am trained in classical homeopathy but I find the Banerji protocols compelling. Which do you rely on more now, finding the similimum for the case or using a Banerji protocol for the case ? I find it hard to look beyond my training in homeopathy…

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I now rely on the Banerji Protocols exclusively. Without my classical training, however, it would be more difficult to navigate for all cases. When I sat with them the 1st year, I promised myself that I’d ask no questions…but to simply observe and allow the information to sink in. The 2nd year, I allowed myself questions after much consideration in relation to only trying cases. This afforded me conclusions that I came to myself. One of the most important conclusions is that their results are consistently reproducible. I believe that if we are ever to compete in the world of allopathy and if we are to teach medical self reliance to the general public (my passion), this is the only method. Besides, my results have skyrocketed, from about 50% to closer to in the 90% range. I had always known there had to be a better way than classical and I knew it had to be the secret that the Indians held, but what this has done for my practice and teaching has been nothing short of miraculous. I thank my friends, the Banerjis and the other other wonderful doctors there every day.

      1. Thanks Joette! That is really helpful. I had been debating over ordering the new Banerji protocol book, and did so yesterday after reading your reply. I too, am really wanting to pass on self-care messages to people, many health conditions that our grandparents thought nothing of to treat at home don’t necessarily need to be seen by medical doctors. A sore throat, an earache, an upset stomach can usually be taken care of very nicely without resorting to harsh medicines.

      2. Samantha says:

When you say “classical training” what type of training are you referring to? I ask because I’m interested in gaining more knowledge, outside of your classes – which I intend to sign up for. Is there a school or schooling, certification you’d recommend outside of your classes to better prepare me for navigating homeopathy care for my family (3 young kids)?

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, PHom M says:

Eileen, in my office, will contact you to help you with this.

  6. KHarris says:

Would Hepar sulph 200 work for rosacea too?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

No, it is not the same protocol but is a good idea for another blog in the future.

  7. Kim says:

Is there some sort of reference book for using the Banerjis protocol? I am very new to homeopathy and would love a guide in book form.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

The book entitled The Banerji Protocol written by Drs.Banerji is available on Amazon. It is small, but chock full of important information. Should you be interested, I offer on line courses, books and presentations. I include protocols that are not covered in the book but that I observed and recorded while working with them in Calcutta. the combination of both is a very rounded way to learn the Banerjis methods.

  8. Barbara Harrington says:

Thank you for this timely information! As it happens, I am suffering with a sinus infection right now.
I have the Sanguinaria 200 on hand. My Belladonna is a 30C. Is it OK to use that until I can acquire the Belladonna 6c (hopefully later today) ?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I always say its worth using what you’ve got on hand.

  9. Peggy FitzGibbon says:

    Joette,
Do you still think Constitutional remedies are important or are the Banjerji Protocols replacing the use of them in your practice? Do you prescribe more than one Protocol at a time? I know Classically only one remedy would be given. I agree that if homeopathy is to compete, there has to be a more standardized method. I am getting so much out of your blog. Thank you.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Hi Peggy! ‘Hope you both are doing well. Full knowledge of classical is important for the practitioner as it is required to understand the full extent of the picture as well as pathology, physiology and anatomy. However, Banerji Protocols are so practical that I have completely switched over. And yes, I use more than one protocol at one time. I demonstrate this in my newer on line courses that might interest you. Other than a teacher in JApan, I believe I’m the only one teaching the Banerji Protcols.

  10. Tamara says:

Lucy, Take a look into the LadyComp for natural family planning. I have used it for over 2 years and am very happy with it. I have 3 other friends who are now using it as well.

  11. Tamara says:

Lucy, I forgot to add that I followed the Creighton method for 3 years prior to getting the LadyComp and the LadyComp is much easier for me to use!! Takes the guesswork out.

  12. cw says:

Would Hepar sulph 200 work for a 12 yr. old child with acne?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I can’t tell you that it is the correct remedy for your child since I’ve not taken the case, but these protocols are certainly worthy of the effort.

  13. Bravo, Joette! I love reading your blog posts and I look forward to them! Taking control of my health and not being addicted to the doctor is how I started on my road to recovery from the supposedly incurable disease of fibromyalgia and its coexisting conditions of chronic fatigue, depression, anxiety, migraines and morbid obesity. I am new to homeopathy, but when I make a 2 nd edition of my book, Freedom from Fibromyalgia: 7 Steps to Complete Recovery, I’m going to add a section about homeopathy. It has been a godsend, especially now that I had my miracle child after I recovered. Thank you for all of the amazing information you make available!

  14. D. Smith says:

I’m wondering if this is the same protocol you would recommend for chronic sinusitis?

Also, do you have any suggestions for ways to help with a matured cataract? I cannot qualify for the surgery because I have situational/white coat high blood pressure whenever I’m in a medical setting. It’s perfectly fine at home and anywhere else, but my doctor cannot sign-off on the pre-op required. What’s really annoying is that the eye surgery place is trying to put the liability on my primary care physician. I see him usually only once a year and that’s only if I HAVE to have bloodwork (required for my atenolol for my prolapsed mitral valve) and he feels bad about my not being able to “qualify” for the surgery but he has no choice and I’m not blaming him. I just had oral surgery in January of this year (I was under anesthesia for almost 2 hours with absolutely no problem, and my BP was initially high there, too – my oral surgeon sent me the records). We thought maybe showing those records to the eye surgeon would help them to understand the situation (geez, I can’t possibly be the ONLY person suffering from situational high BP, can I?) but they are refusing to even consider it. So at this point all I can do is try to find a way to make the cataract dissolve on its own or something because if I don’t, I’ll likely be blind within a year. I have a cataract starting in the other eye and they seem to progress quite quickly. I am getting beyond desperate because if I lose my vision I have to give up my career and this is how I help my husband pay the bills!

    Any suggestions? Anyone?

    1. Jerry Hewes says:

I am a 75 years old farmer who has learned that being ones own doctor is the only way to the best health possible. As we age we begin to realize MDs function far too much of the time as conspirators in poor health. It’s simply good business.

Never had your problems but my own problems drove me to be a student of self. With the internet, scads of info are easily available and I am inclined to think that most of it is valid in a given circumstance but of course amoral opportunists distort and use our eagerness for solutions to deceive us.

It is not good business for white coats to inform us completely for it exposes their misdirection and ignorance. The result is secret anger and exclusion. For me it is ridiculous to think that in 15 minutes and maybe a few blood tests, a doctor can know your body. You live in it.

The opportunity is, learn to distinguish hype from reality by being suckered a few times. The experience is invaluable.

From my own experience, EVERYTHING points to nutritional problems and they are easier to solve than you might think. Learning to question through self examination. Solving these nutritional issues would greatly reduce and eliminate some health problems. But it is something you must do.

Doctors seldom know where to begin. Your white coat fear is justified. This fear originates in the aura of medicine that understands you not. Now take the responsibility yourself.

    2. Linda says:

Hi D, I responded to your plight below, but didn’t realize I should hit the reply button right below your post, so look below! 🙂 -Linda

    3. Roberta says:

If you go to the top of this page and type cataracts in the search box, Joette has an article about them.

  15. Jenna says:

Another great blog Joette! I loved it and thank you!

  16. Heather says:

Joette, is there a reference book available for purchase on the Banerji Protocols? I would like to learn more about it. Thanks!

  17. Which of your online courses teach more about the Banerji protocols? What would you recommend for someone with a knowledge of homeopathy?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I’d suggest Good Gut Bad Gut that is available now. Soon to be offered live will be Skin: The Ugly Truth, Safe, Effective Treatments of Skin Ailments, Chronic or Acute With Homeopathy. We’re calling it simply “Skin”. In that you have a deep knowledge of homeopathy, you’ll have to get past some of the beginning but it doesn’t take long before I go into the Banerji Method with not only protocols, but philosophy. There are homeopathy practitioners and students of classical take this course and find it useful. That’s the thing; This method is so practical, that you’ll find yourself using it instead of classical. Its the much needed shortcut.

  18. Julia says:

Wendy, I took Joette’s “Good Gut Bad Gut” course and that was very useful for learning Banerji protocols and how to use them. There were a lot of protocols and sample cases.

  19. Linda says:

    D. Smith:
D, this is for you- when I studied Joette’s Cell Salts cd and ebook, I learned that the cell salt, Calc Fluor is specific for elasticity in your body parts, including the eye lens. It brings suppleness and elasticity to body parts that have become brittle. I am using it on my teeth along with Calc Phos and Ferr Phos, and I am finding good results with my varicose veins and brittle nails. If you add this to your health plan, I think you’ll find your cataracts at the very least not get worse, but most likely over a very long time you will get improvement. Cell Salt therapy is miraculous in the same way homeopathy is, but it has a more nutritive effect on the cells. Purchase the cd/ebook and study it over and over. There are other cell salts in there I bet you would profit from, like the ones that cleanse and sweep away debris. You can combine them endlessly, but keep the calc fluor constant. Also, if I were you, I would buy a bottle of fermented cod liver oil and high vitamin butter oil (and consume lots of fats high in vitamin A) which feeds the eyes. Read more on the WAPF site. In experiments done on pigs where vitamin A was removed, the piglets from those pigs were born without eyes! That shows you how dependent the eyes are on Vitamin A! Also, I have a feeling Kombucha Tea helps cataracts- there is lots of info on brewing your own at home. I brew it constantly. Finally, you could get Reike or healing prayer done over your eyes. Be blessed! You are not alone in your journey! Linda

  20. On your other acne post, you mentioned hep sulph 200 one dose every other day. Is there a standard frequency, or does this vary by person?

Also, what is the dose? I’m asking because the side of the Boiron bottle says 5 pills is a dose, so I wasn’t sure.

    Thanks!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

One dose every other day is the protocol that fits most people and the number of pills that equals one dose is printed on the side of the bottle.

        1. Terry says:

Joette, I am 60 and STILL have acne that just won’t quit. I started taking the Hepar Sulph 200 every other day two weeks ago. It hasn’t helped the acne yet, but for years I have had white spots on one tonsil (gross, I know) every day, and after just two days, the spots disappeared completely. Amazing.

Also, when I started taking it my bottom lip became swollen, extremely dry, & cracked so that it even bled. It hurt and felt like a cold sore was coming, but it never did. It’s better now, though still dry and a little chapped. I’m wondering if it did attack that cold sore virus, because I do get them on my bottom lip when very stressed & overworked.

Still hoping that it will help the acne. Thanks very much for all of your information. This site is amazing!

          1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Hepar sulph is often used for herpetic eruptions. For long term conditions, it often takes many weeks, even a couple of months. After that time, if there’s no improvement, even a little, then its time to consider another protocol.

  21. Tina says:

Is this the same protocol for someone who suffers from chronic sinus congestion?

Thank you for providing so much free information. I look forward to taking your next course.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Sanguinaria 200, 2 D is the 1st remedy protocol we think of for sinus infections as well as chronic sinus issues. Belladonna is used to deal with pain that may attend the condition. So indeed it might afford relief, however chronic sinus conditions are often rooted in gut problems such as food intolerances. If that is apparent, (and it ought to be strongly considered) then the protocol for the sinus condition may not bear out because the etiology is not being tended. in our world ofan antibiotic for every little blemish, it is unlikely that the gut has not been disturbed even generationally.

  22. Darcy Stroud says:

Joette, I was reading the above statement and realized my youngest son may fall in this category. We live in AZ, he has been working with his Father in Prescott, noted for the many pines. Since the pollen has stared as well as the sporing, his has been a mess. he has been pone to sinus infections in the past, Zithromiacin Z-pac..always given rid him of it, this last time he was given amoxicilan by a different DR. My eyes are open now..what can I do to help rid him of the past medication, and give him to repair the damage and get him healed of this congestion, and runny nose like a faucet..?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

You may certainly employ protocols that I mention in my blogs. Or if you would prefer to work with me one on one, you may contact my office to set up a free 15 minute phone conversation to see if this is a fit for you.

  23. fay says:

    I’m a little confused…

    for acne:
In the article entitled Pippa, Pimples, and Homeopathy it says Hepar Sulph 200 and Arsenicum Album 200 , one dose every other day.

On Dr.Banerji’s website its says Hepar Sulph and Arsenicum Album twice daily.

Here it just mentions the Hepar Sulph, no Arsenicum.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

There are many ways to skin a cat. I observed, when working with the Banerjis that they used HS and AA, every other day. When there book was released, it included a variation on that theme. I have found that both act well.

  24. mission mama says:

I am looking for a good place to buy the The Banerji Protocol book. Can you recommend one?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Amazon. Don’t expect to pay less; its the most important book you’ll buy this year. No, ever!

  25. careycw says:

For cystic acne that is ‘angry’ and red, would Arsenicum and Hepar work at 30c potency? There are nerve and hormone issues as well, so a constitutional is in order, but meantime?

  26. Kelsey says:

I just wanted to add my own little testimonial here. Last week, I woke up Sunday morning with the beginnings of a cold. When I get colds, they’re never minor, and always turn into a sinus infection that lasts for at least a week or usually longer, and then after that I’m left with a horrific cough for the next several months. Every time. (It just happened this past winter, and I was so incapacitated by the severe coughing that after a couple of months of not being able to function because of it, I succumbed to antibiotics, which I’ve only done maybe twice in my adult life.) So, I started to get a little panicky when I felt the sinus infection starting because I knew what it would lead to, and I can’t afford to take time off of work right now. I searched your blog and found this article and headed to the natural health food store. They didn’t have either remedy that I needed, so I was looking around to see what else they had for colds in general, and I found a sinus infection remedy made by Boiron that had both Sanguinaria and Belladonna, just not in the right potencies. But, I figured, it was better than nothing, so I bought it, not expecting it to really help. I took a dose as soon as I got to my car, and within minutes started feeling my sinuses clear. It worked so quickly I actually laughed out loud, because it was so unexpected. I took several more doses over the next few days, feeling better and better each day. Within just a couple of days of starting the remedy, the sinus infection was all but gone, but the most amazing part? I didn’t develop a cough! That is the real miracle. I can’t remember a time when I haven’t had a severe cough for months at a time following a cold. I’m going to order the correct potencies for next time, as I’m sure they’ll work even better.

One question, though, would that same remedy be helpful for a chronic sinus infection? I always have a stuffy nose, not so much that I sound stuffy like when I have an acute sinus infection, but just enough so that it’s sometimes difficult to breathe through my nose. Could I just keep taking this same remedy until the stuffy nose totally clears? Thanks so much for all the information you put out there! I’m hoping to start your Feminopathy class in the near future!

  27. Kelsey says:

Sorry, I just saw that you had answered my question above in reply to someone else’s similar question. I’m sure mine is probably rooted in gut issues, which I have had since birth. I want to take your gut healing class as well, I just haven’t decided which to take first – Feminopathy or the Gut one. But I’ll figure it out and hopefully start one of them soon!

  28. Bea says:

Hi Joette! My 28 year old son has chronic sinusitis, and now has a large nasal polyp in his left nostril. Will the : Sanguinaria 200 mixed with Belladonna 6, protocol resolve the nasal polyps as well?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Probably not. Polyps usually require another homeopathic depending on how they present.

      1. Bea says:

Can you tell me which of your courses covers nasal polyps? Or is it more cost effective to schedule a consultation with you?

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I’m sorry Bea, but I don’t cover polyps in any of the courses just yet. Should you be interested in meeting with me, feel free to go contact@joettecalabrese.com

  29. Lisa says:

“Two months later, Maddie was given another remedy, Sanguinaria for the chronic joint inflammation and pain in her neck.”
….this was from an older article you wrote before using practicsl homeopathy. What are your thoughts on this remedy for terrible headaches resulting from neck injury that has arthritis? Would this be an option to consider?

Thank you, Joette. Do we need to know why the headache is presenting or only how? In other words, because my husband has concrete info from his MRI, we are aware of the sort of injuries he’s had. But whenever his headache is extremely painful, is it best to address the kind of headache rather than questioning whether it’s because of a particular action from one of the injuries? From reading the articles and listening to the podcasts, I get the sense that symptoms are more important to ascertain the remedy…..but the underlying cause gives clues when remedy may not work.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

If headaches arise after an injury, we must 1st consider an injury protocol.

  31. Lisa says:

One more question: is there a banerji protocol for Sanguinaria in this situation?

  32. Betsy says:

Joette, I hope you see this! We need your advice out here in the Pacific Northwest where heavy smoke from forest fires is now the “new normal” for summertime. It can be sooo depressing. Our air is filled with smoke and many people are either escaping the area, staying inside with the A/C or walking around with air masks. WWJD…what would Joette do? thanks in advance

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I’ve read about your situation and am sorry that you and yours are suffering. I’d use Nat mur 6 x, 2-3 D and Arnica 30, 2D followed by homeopathics that are specific to how the person is suffering.

  33. Betsy says:

thank you for taking the time Joette!

      My pleasure, Betsy.

Joette, In a blog dated sometime in April, 2014 (I think), in the comments section, you said to someone that you were going to be writing an updated blog about acne after having just come back from India. Is this Hepar Sulph 200 2x daily what you were referring to? I think the previous protocol was Hepar Sulph 200Cmixed with Arsenicum 200C 1 dose every other day. Just wanted to clarify your latest info. Thank you.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I don’t recall the timing either but actually, both protocols show results.

  36. Marie says:

Thanks for your wonderful blogs. Is there any guidance available on what remedies are safe during pregnancy?

  37. Yuliana says:

Joette, how long does it take to get rid of the chronic sinus issues, using this protocol? I have been taking Sanguinaria for about a week, but the sinuses are not getting too much better. I have also tried Thuja 30C and Kali Bichromicum 30C. They seem to help, but the symptoms come back when I stop using the remedies. Can you please comment? I have taken your course on Tissue Salts and I also have several of your books, but I feel I need your comment in this particular situation. Thank you very much in advance

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

If you halt the use of the medicine before the condition is corrected, it will indeed return. It needs to be used for as long as it takes. That can be days, weeks, months or even years for some.

  38. Anita G Clayton says:

Joette, I have had a nasty sinus infection for a week. I have chronic sinus problems. I have been using Sanguinaria 200c and calc sulf 6x. I have done two of your study groups and your cell salt course and love using cell salts. The past few days I have been quite sick with a nasty post nasal cough but no fever. All symptoms are higher than my mouth. The mucous had been clear in the beginning, but just now I checked it out, which I haven’t done for a while, and what I was coughing out was copious, dark green and gloppy. Should I be adding something for that evident infection?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

Check out my blogs on Coughs, colds, etc. I’ve written a number of them. You’ll likely find what you’re looking for.

  39. Pam says:

    Hello Miss Joette,

Is 200ck the same strength as 200c (aka ch)?
In the USA, Boiron only sells 200 in CK dillutions, whereas they sell 200c (ch) in Canada.

Can I use Sanguinaria 200ck? And is it equally effective (same strength)?

    Thank you.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

They’re not exactly the same but are often considered by homeopaths to be interchangeable.

  40. Dara says:

After stopping infertility meds due to feeling horrible and not conceiving, I developed horrible cystic acne and little whitehead bumps on face, chest and back. I’ve tried nearly everything and nothing makes it better. I tried Hylands mix of homeopathy for acne but the doses are less. It heals the spots faster but causes more to surface. Is that normal? Is the Hepar Sulf 200CK twice a day, every other day, the correct dose?

  41. Edina G says:

I am using the first line of Banerji treatments from the book for my daughter’s lifelong eczema(18 years). After about 4 days, she has gotten worse with swollen lymph nodes and skin infection. Should we continue hepar 200 and arsericum 200 for 4 weeks or move to graphites 200 and arsenicum 200. She is miserable and the coffea cruda is not helping. Please advise.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

I can’t personally advise you on how to use homeopathy but anytime we see a homeopathic medicine making a person worse, it should be halted.

  42. Ann says:

    Hi Joette,

Would you recommend the same protocol for someone who has constant throat clearing and lots of post nasal drip?I didn’t have this issue until I had my 1st sinus infection in Feb 2020 from a flight.Me and my son are very sensitive to air pressure unfortunately. My throat feels tight, and when I run there is tons of mucus dripping in my throat especially when I look up (I feel like I’m about to choke)
I know there is definitely a sinus issue.
    Thank you.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

I don’t offer personal advice but I’ve written a number of articles on the subject of sinuses (chronic as well as acute).

Thank you Joette!!!Also,is there a chance to bring back the emergency kits?

  43. Kassandra Schroek says:

Joette I realize I have an inconsistency in my mind when it comes to taking the 200c potency of remedies. I usually when folowwing a protocal with 200c will use only 1 pill. But If the manufacturer say a dose of 200 Sang is 4 pills. Do I follow what the bottle says? We buy locally from a pharmacy that makes Homeopathy. I always see you say to follow the bottle. But I believe I have read on your blog else ware when using the 200c in a protocol to only use 1 pill. Help my confusion please!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, PHom M says:

The number of pills that comprise a dose is printed on the bottle.

  44. Stephen says:

Hi Joette can chronic inflammation of the sinuses be cured by the same homeopathic medicines as sinus infections thanks

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, PHom M says:

The best I can give you is that indeed there are homeopathic medicines that address both chronic and acute conditions.

  45. Ann says:

    Hi Joette,

My 14 year old son came down with what looked like a cold, almost 2 weeks ago. He’s got the severe headaches, runny nose, sore throat (this is how it started),sneezing, fever and congestion. He got better, then 2 days later came back even worse.High fever, teary eyes, severe runny nose that would go from clear to yellowish/greenish color, headaches again, fever and congestion.
Now, after almost 2 weeks, he’s still got the runny nose, some occasional headaches, but the congestion is really bad.
He had the same symptoms in Feb 2020, when he came down with sinus infection, and that was the last time he was sick.I can count on one hand the time he’s been sick since he was born, so I’m thankful for that, and happy that I found homeopathics.
This time nothing seems to work, and he needs to go back to school and sports.
No homeopathic was actually helpful so far.
I know you can’t take his case, but are there any other remedies that can help at this late stage?
We even tried kali bic, and absolutely no visible changes. I am desperate at this point, and his poor nose is almost raw, no matter how much salve he’s using.
    Any ideas would be appreciated.
    Thank you.
