I’m at the world-famous Banerji Homeopathy Research Foundation and Clinic in Kolkata.
Lucky me! I’m in Kolkata, India, and each day I sit next to a master. I sit snuggly between a well-trained homeopathic assistant (a homeopath in his/her own right) and shoulder-to-shoulder with the famed Dr. Prasanta Banerji, an 80-year-old homeopathic physician who learned not only from his 50+ years of practice but also from his father and grandfather, both of whom were community leaders and homeopathic physicians.
And I witness mastery.
So far, I’ve filled three notebooks of cases and protocols as the doctor and his son, Dr. Pratip Banerji, take cases. I’ll probably get writer’s cramp from these many weeks of wild scribbling. My pen flies as fast as it can to get as many precious details as possible. I am reminded of the way my pen used to fly in college when I was stirred by a good teacher. However, I must say that the inspiration I feel here is a rarity in life … I’m sopping it all up and writing it all down. I’ll be using these unusual protocols and techniques in my practice and hope to pass them on to my students as well.
The Doctors Banerji see 100 cases in each consultation room.
There are two main rooms, and I alternate between the two. Dr. Prasanta Banerji takes mostly cancer and kidney diseases while Dr. Pratip Banerji sees more common ailments. Each is able to help 100 patients every day. Yes, you heard me correctly … 100!
I am amazed not only by their ability to zero in on the case within minutes and cure deftly but also by their ability to collect impressive data. I will share more on their data collecting in a future blog.
We begin at approximately 9 a.m. and end the day after 8 or 9 p.m. I usually don’t get back to our hotel until after 9 p.m. I find I’m not in the least bit exhausted. You know how you feel when you could stay up till the wee hours on Christmas Eve? That’s the way I feel!
This is how they accomplish so many cases: Assistants take the preliminary information: the chief complaints, diagnosis and tests, including CT scans, blood tests, etc. Then the patient is sent into the chamber where we sit. There, Dr. Banerji makes a speedy and precise assessment of the case and determines the remedies based on his well-developed 150-year-old protocols. While we are in one chamber, his son, Dr. Pratip Banerji, is in another doing the same. Other homeopaths are working in other chambers as well.
These homeopathic procedures are used without referring to a repertory, a materia medica or any books. In fact, there’s not a single book in sight because Prasanta Banerji is the repertory. He has in his 80-year-old head the protocols that he, his father, grandfather and son have developed over the last 150 years of homeopathic practice.
What’s remarkable about this man’s understanding of homeopathy is that in addition to the knowledge he applies daily, he’s just as astute at compiling it. This clinic is only a small portion of the research foundation that he oversees. More than 1,000 cases per day are taken, assessed and supervised by the Banerjis with, as far as I’m able to determine, a staff of approximately 15 homeopaths. Upstairs in the data collecting rooms, a line-up of eight computers, each busily run by data inputters, collate and compile every cancer case.
This is said to be the busiest medical clinic in the world. Patients and their families come from hundreds, sometimes thousands of kilometers away, as well as from far-away places to be treated by this dynamic father/son duo.
On the first day, I arrived at 8 a.m., and 80-some patients were lined up on the sidewalk outside the clinic. One of them told me they had been waiting in front of the clinic since 5 a.m. Such allegiance!
This is what comes of all of these cases
For starters, I observe cure after cure. Yes, I see the doctor taking reflux cases. Indeed, we are witnesses to the menorrhagia cases, but what the good master mostly takes in are cancer cases.
And every day, it’s proven to me by the patients, their families and anyone who cares to learn more that Dr. Banerji is curing cancer. One person at a time. Sometimes slowly. Always methodically. And frequently without fanfare. I’ve been privileged to observe the weeping eyes of gratitude in more than one cured case per day.
If you’re a devotee of homeopathy as I am, you’ll understand that homeopathy has a reputation for completion of illness, not management of symptoms. I see that happening here every day.
This is a special place.
Perhaps even a blessed one. For it wasn’t too long ago that Mother Teresa was ministering to the poor only a few streets away. She, too, was using homeopathy for the sake of humanity.
There is apparently a great deal of notoriety surrounding these remarkable results. In fact, the Drs. Banerji are frequent presenters at Canadian, German, Swiss, Italian and even American medical conferences. The work of two great masters is being recognized by conventional medical directors, and history is being made.
How lucky I am to learn from and be a witness to it!
Call today and learn how homeopathy might just be the missing piece in your health strategy.
Joette is not a physician and the relationship between Joette and her clients is not of prescriber and patient, but as educator and client. It is fully the client's choice whether or not to take advantage of the information Joette presents. Homeopathy doesn't "treat" an illness; it addresses the entire person as a matter of wholeness that is an educational process, not a medical one. Joette believes that the advice and diagnosis of a physician is often in order.
