Practical Protocols for Mental and Emotional Conditions

Anxiety…depression…bipolar…OCD…learning disorders…brain fog…PTSD…addictions…dementia…

Homeopathy has a history of uprooting these conditions.

These are my favorites that I guarantee you’ll use.

I created an infographic to give you hope that real, safe, efficacious alternatives to chemical drugs exist. Click here and read more.

This infographic contains some of my favorite remedies that I guarantee you’ll use.

Stop Smoking

Confession: In my late teens, on and off, up to about 30, I smoked.

At one point I was smoking a pack a day. It was stupid.

But I know how difficult it was to stop, even having smoked for just about 10 years.

As I recall, the way I stopped was to take a shower when the urge came on (which was always worse in the evenings. Some nights, I took more than one shower.)

At the time, I wish I'd had a little help beyond my wimpy willpower. Homeopathy would have been welcome, had I known about it.

The body is always seeking homeostasis. Do not think for a moment that it won’t benefit you if you quit smoking now.

So, if you or a loved one are ready to make a change, homeopathy can help alleviate some of the more unpleasant aspects of the process.

Once you decide which medicine is best chosen, it can usually be taken between 2-4 times daily.  Always start with fewer doses and see how well it goes. If it's not helping enough, increase the frequency.

Nux vomica 30C

Serving in its role as the “overindulgence” remedy, Nux vomica (poison nut) can help relieve the irritability, nausea, and digestive troubles that can go hand-in-hand with smoking cessation.

Lobelia inflata 6C

If you find that you’re experiencing a great deal of nausea, Lobelia inflata (Indian tobacco) can provide relief during the withdrawal process.

Argentum nitricum 30C

Don’t be surprised if you experience a level of anxiety after you stop smoking. It happens. Argentum nitricum (silver nitrate) can address those feelings of apprehension and anxiousness … a feeling as though you’re sped up.

Ignatia amara 30C

One more helpful remedy to have in your arsenal during this very nerve-wracking time is Ignatia amara (St. Ignatius bean). Reach for it if you experience hypersensitivity to pain, or smells, or simply stress — especially if your hypersensitivity seems lessened when you are distracted.

Ignatia amara will help you get through times when the process may seem all-encompassing.

Hopefully, just by knowing that these remedies are here to get you through the rough patches, you’ll have the motivation to stop smoking today. It’s all about being well-armed. So, put your dukes up!

If you have a loved one whom you have been encouraged to stop smoking, please share this short YouTube video that I posted: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDdFuTauxmw. It contains this same information but watching it might be the boost that's needed.

By the way, if you buy any of the remedies mentioned in this article directly from Boiron, you’ll save 20% on your purchase by using the code Joette during checkout. And that’s on top of all the money you’re about to save by not buying cigarettes!

Warmly,

Joette

  1. Hi Joette,
Curious if these are the same remedies to would use to help stop chewing as well? And is there an Banerji Protocol for Nicotine cessation?

  2. Joette, can you offer more details to this, Like dosages is their a first line protocol? Are all these to be taken at the same time or as needed according to symptoms? ALSO you had a protocol you posted back in 2010 that was completely different. I am wondering if one is better than the other?

The dosages are indicated in the article and there are many ways to approach the same condition.

  3. Thank you! I’m getting more and more interested in homeopathy and my husband is willing to try this! Hoping and praying this works! If my husband has all of the withdrawal symptoms at the same time can these be taken together on the same day or should he use only 1 at a time?

Its likely that one of these rems will suit a vaping addiction, but I can’t say for sure.

  4. My husband has quit his smoking habit after 50 yrs! All praises to God! I’ve heard that once you quit smoking an anti fungal is needed to inhibit the possibilities of developing lung cancer. Have you heard that as well? Do you have any anti fungal suggestions with doses for us?

I don’t sell homeopathic medicines but if you’re interested in purchasing one of the remedies I mention, click on it and it will take you to Amazon or Boiron.
      Good luck.

  5. Joette, would the remedies be the same for an infant born addicted to drugs? We don’t know exactly which ones yet but likely opioids. Also, can I use higher potentcuea, like 200, on an infant in this case?

      1. Thanks, Joette. I’ll probably have to call and do a consultation with you as soon as your schedule allows! And sorry about my phone’s autocorrect of “potencies,” what a strange way to spell it!

      2. Sadly, I probably won’t be able to schedule a consultation with you as your schedule is booked so many month in advance, and we likely won’t have this baby that long. I’d still like to help him, so would you consider doing a blog post taking about infants per chance? This is an epidemic in our country, and in the future we as a family may be caring for more babies with the same issues. Thanks for all you do!

I already have an online course titled “Toxic” that may help you.
It depends on the category of drugs and how they’re presenting.

          1. Joette, I just wanted to update you! I’ll be signing up for your Toxic course as soon as my Gateway 2 class is over, but our little guy has improved so much already! I had great success with Nux Vomica 30 for a few weeks until very much better. Then addressed his stomach issues (very common after the drug withdrawal) with a combination colic remedy, which he almost never needs anymore, even though he still has a painful umbilical hernia! I’m thinking calc carb for him long term but I’m so excited to take the class to find out more, and I’m just stunned at what I!!!! Did!! just with homeopathy! If you had seen this poor child 6 weeks ago! Thank you for the knowledge!!

I always love hearing these kinds of stories but am never surprised.
Keep up the good work, Stephanie.

  6. With regards to smoking cessation: should I begin taking the remedies prior to stopping or wait until I have given it up altogether?
