Something’s Fishy Around Here: Enhance Your Pet’s Health with Practical Homeopathy®

Hi. My name is Mr. Fish. But my friends call me … well, they call me Mr. Fish, too. I don’t swim through two and a half gallons of water to be called “Hey You.”

Listen, there’s something fishy going on at JoetteCalabrese.com. <blubb, blubb> Mrs. Joette often discusses the benefits of Practical Homeopathy® for your pet’s health. You know … how homeopathy can help dogs and cats. (Yipes, the mere mention of “cats” gives me the shivers.)

However, try as I might, I haven’t found a single blog post that discusses homeopathy for pet fish.

I mean, I can understand if there’s not enough time to name every animal. But in the last month or so, I’ve seen her mention cows, chickens, horses, giraffes, platypuses and aardvarks. For crying out loud, people! Do you know anyone with a pet aardvark? No. But I bet you know someone with a fish.

So, why are we fish left out? With friends like that, who needs anemones?

I’m not sure if it’s a personal prejudice of Mrs. Joette’s. I mean, I took a look at her Instagram account, and oh, my cod! She posted reels on how to prepare cuttlefish, eel and sardines.

And by “preparing,” I don’t mean she was sharing important information to help them navigate their next day in the ocean. Nope … not that kind of preparation. Not at all.

(You’ll have to check them out yourself. I can’t talk about it anymore. <blubb, blubb> While you’re at it, subscribe to her Instagram or TikTok feed, will you? I need a human to keep an eye on this situation for me.)

But anyway, having heard from my friend, Flynn, that Mrs. Joette is a very nice lady, I decided to give her a call at my first opportunity. I waited and waited for someone to drop their iPhone in my aquarium, but alas, that never happened. So, I asked the lady at the other end of my food container if she’d call her for me.

You see, when I was younger and lived somewhere else, I was housed in a teensy, tiny bowl with no air filter or plants. It was a meager existence, but I made do. My growth was a bit stunted, as I really didn’t get much exercise. I played it off as just being koi, but you might say that I wasn’t thriving.

Then, I went to live in a new home … a filtered aquarium with live plants, toys and all kinds of great fishy things. But I just didn’t have the energy I should have to explore.

Mrs. Joette said that she didn’t have any specific protocols for fish. (Recipes? Apparently, yes. Protocols, no. <blubb, blubb>)

But she immediately came up with an idea! (I wish I were that quick on my feet. To be honest, I mostly wish I actually had feet.)

Anyway, Mrs. Joette thought a homeopathic combination remedy called Bioplasma® might be just the thing to help bolster my recovery. Bioplasma is a collection of all twelve of the homeopathic cell salts. (I have no idea what that means, but it sounds like a good thing. Maybe I need to go back to school.)

Then, she recalled that her friend, Mr. Joe De Livera, often wrote about his technique for water dosing in his homeopathic method “Joepathy.”

I like water — obviously — so this is sounding like a good plan!

Mr. Joe’s water dose involves a small container of bottled water. Dump a little bit out so that it contains roughly 15 ounces of water. Then place a dose of the appropriate homeopathic medicine into the bottle. Allow the pillules or tablets to dissolve by stirring or shaking.

When it’s time to administer a dose to a human, he recommends they sip one capful (about one tablespoon), making sure to shake the bottle ten times before each dose.

In my case (because I’m really reluctant to drink water out of a bottle cap), Mrs. Joette considered the idea of putting a capful of water in my aquarium tank during my next water change.

Now you’re talkin’! I could just slurp up the ever-so-delicately medicated water as I was eating my food or glupping at my plants.

The small amount of Bioplasma added to my water doesn’t really change the chemical balance because it’s so diluted. Yet that tiny dose still provides me with the gentle benefits of homeopathy. Homeopathy is all about dilution, after all.

And guess what?

I actually feel fin-tastic! My color is healthier; my appetite is back; and I’m having fun! You can definitely say I’m thriving now.

(Although, why are these giant people staring at me all the time. I’m just swimming. How interesting can that possibly be?)

Anyway, I’m content now to know that Mrs. Joette indeed does love fish — even without a beurre blanc. <blubb, blubb> She cared a lot about me when she heard I was struggling, and she o-fish-ially helped me feel better with the homeopathic Bioplasma solution.

So, if you know any sluggish fish, pass on the good news of Practical Homeopathy®! Tell ‘em Mr. Fish sent you.
