Do Something Important for Father’s Day

News flash!

You’d better sit down:

Men are different than women. (Shocking, I know.)

They can lose weight more readily than women. (I hate that part.)

They're keener on things, while women are more interested in people.

Men are willing to do — and more capable of — the hard, muscular work that often requires an ability to withstand the “gross” factor. They work on oil rigs, in sewers, or milk spiders for venom (yes, that’s a job). Think Mike Rowe and the show “Dirty Jobs.”

Men talk less.

Men get out of bed when there's a prowler in the bushes.

I could go on.

But I want to focus on the sexual appetite of men.

If I hear one thing most consistently from women, especially those who are nearing their 50s, it’s that their libido has declined. The interest just isn’t there.

Uniformly, the next thing they share with me is something like, “My poor husband. He wishes it were different.”

I understand.

No, I mean, I really get it.

I’ve spent my entire career as a homeopath meeting with mostly women — addressing their health issues. I figure I spend over 2,000 hours a year talking to women! And almost entirely across the board, discussion of their health always includes mention of their sexual health.

Here’s what’s been made clear to me (and to be honest, this won’t be shocking to anyone): Women’s libidos are generally lower than men’s.

Adding insult to injury, women's libidos also drop further after the childbearing years, while men’s often do not decline at the same rate — sometimes not at all. (Refer to my blog post, My Libido? She Was Sent Packing Years Ago — The Homeopathic Fix.)

So, sex is different for men. No, really, it is!

It’s super-important to men. It is the way they understand love. I don’t want to oversimplify this, but in reality, it boils down to that.

Okay, so today is Father's Day.

Do you see where I’m going here? (Come on, I’m not very subtle.)

Here’s my thinking: You need to ask yourself a few questions.

Do you love your husband?

Is your husband a good man?

Is intimacy vital to him?

Then it’s my guess that the Father’s Day gift he’d most appreciate is time with you spent in intimacy.

That means you don’t wait until you’re in the mood. (Because let’s face it, ladies, that could be next Memorial Day!)

This Father’s Day, skip the golf balls and the ties. Make a long-standing commitment to your husband by making a beeline for the bedroom. If intimacy is what he seeks, get things going for the sake of something important … making him happy.

And we’re not talking just Father’s Day, right?

I bet it will take your marriage up a few notches.

And pass on the good news of homeopathy — especially to your girlfriends!

Warmly,

Joette Calabrese

P.S. If we suspect our hormones have changed naturally or have been artificially manipulated, generally, a good starting point is Sepia 200, twice weekly until hormonal instincts return to normal.

But, don’t get me wrong, there’s much more to it than just this. The subject is complex, which is why I present an entire course on all manner of women’s issues: Feminopathy. This course may well be the best gift you can give yourself and your husband!

I am a homeopath with a worldwide practice working with families and individuals via Zoom. I'm also a teacher and most importantly, a mom who raised my now-adult children depending on homeopathy over the last 31 years. I lived decades of my life with food intolerances, allergies, and chemical sensitivities until I was cured with homeopathy, so I understand pain, anxiety, and suffering. You may feel that your issues are more severe or different than anyone else’s, but I have seen it all in my practice and in my work in India. My opinion is that nothing has come close to the reproducible, safe and effective results that my clients, students and I have achieved with homeopathy.

Call today and learn how homeopathy might just be the missing piece in your health strategy.

Next Memorial Day, why so soon?! Laughing hysterically, Joette you are the best!

My husband is 78 and not able to climax or get up. Is there something safe for him. I took Sepia tincture for my hot flashes that also made me nauseous. It worked great. I recently read it was good to stop migraines which I used to have. Now I know why. Recently I had my hip replaced ( 6 weeks ago) doctor told me to use Tylenol and I’ve for pain. I used it but didn’t stop swelling. I used Advil for less than a week. Weaned myself off both and went to Arnica Montana 6x for swelling and Hypericum 200ckf for throbbing pain. It also worked. I have enjoyed your podcasts. I don’t have Facebook, messenger, or Twitter. I do email, text, and even talk on the phone. Maybe someday I will go back to Facebook, then I will definitely listen to your podcasts.
    Thank you, Carol

I’ve published this weekly blog for 11 years and have covered the subject you asked about as well as hundreds of other common conditions. Dig about online with my name attached to your query and you’ll find the article and homeopathic solution.
Remember however that statin drugs commonly do this kind of damage in men.

  3. IM says:

So, is there a remedy for men that addresses their lowered interest and/or erectile dysfunction as they age?

Meander around this blog and you’ll find answers to exactly what you’re looking for.

  4. Lily says:

What if the reason for low libido is more emotional/trauma related? Such as having been part of a religion that shamed girls for their bodies and desire, labeling them as dirty / sinful (while male desire is totally normal and something to be constantly “on guard” against)? Essentially teaching that a good woman = a sexless woman, except as a duty to a man (yuck). Which remedy would you look at for dispelling that load of guilt and shame – restoring a feeling that sexual desire is as healthy and normal as eating right and getting good sleep?

Should you be interested in getting more deeply into what you mention, I cover it fully in my online course titled Mindful Homeopathy.

  5. Kathy says:

Some of the best medicine you offer is humor. This is humorous medicine we all can use a dose of. Laughing all the way to the bedroom! Thank you!

‘Happy to know that it made you laugh.

  6. Kathleen Shibler says:

Hi Joette, what do you know about the Ollios homeopathy brand? Is it reputable to buy from?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

      I’m not familiar with them.
