I’m worried for Kate Birch and Cilla Whatcott, authors of “The Solution: Homeoprophylaxis: The Vaccine Alternative.”
They are putting themselves in the middle of a battleground where arrows will likely fly. Anyone who slices at the market share of big pharma and government could find themselves in the crosshairs.
Yet, I admire their courage, for this is a bold book. Homeopaths are aware of the technique these authors present, but the general public is not. It’s high time that someone with pluck gets this vital information spread to those who matter … parents.
Yes, yes, we know that vaccines are ill-founded and the result of an outdated invention that has been shown to often cause greater risk than the illness from which they’re intended to protect. The word vaccine, indeed, ought to strike apprehension in the mind of parents. This kind of reaction is a healthy, protective response that for too long has been marketed and intimidated out of parents. These authors address that. But the spotlight of their discourse is what to do next and a schedule of how to do it.
Their strategy is like a shot in the arm. The path laid out in the 100-plus pages is intelligent, well researched and offers a step-by-step plan of action.
So, this is not just the story behind a story. It’s not even a full dissertation on the harm of vaccines … it offers a viable, complete chart that parents can embrace as the final answer to the question, “If I don’t vaccinate my children, what do I do to protect them?” There it is in black and white, the entire schedule of how to use specific, simplified homeopathic protection for whooping cough before it comes to your town, for pneumonia, even tetanus.
Run — don’t walk — to your keyboard and buy a copy for yourself, one for your in-laws and another for your chiropractor. If you’re fortunate enough to have fallen into a pediatric practice that’s principled, give a copy to the doctor as well. Then follow it step by step.
The audacity! The gallant where-with-all to link arms and defiantly oppose an archaic, relentless approach and then offer a practical strategy in its place.
Ms. Birch and Ms. Whatcott are my kind of women … my kind of homeopaths. I don’t know them, but I hope to shake their hands one day. I’m figuring that theirs will be a firm grip. It will give me assurance that I needn’t worry so much about them and can instead apply my efforts directing my clients and students to their little masterpiece.

Postscript: It’s been four months since I wrote the above review, and I have since not only met Cilla Whatcott at the National Center of Homeopathy last month, but we have become fast friends. Here we are in Virginia.

I am a homeopath with a worldwide practice working with families and individuals via Zoom. I'm also a teacher and most importantly, a mom who raised my now-adult children depending on homeopathy over the last 31 years. I lived decades of my life with food intolerances, allergies, and chemical sensitivities until I was cured with homeopathy, so I understand pain, anxiety, and suffering. You may feel that your issues are more severe or different than anyone else’s, but I have seen it all in my practice and in my work in India. My opinion is that nothing has come close to the reproducible, safe and effective results that my clients, students and I have achieved with homeopathy.
Call today and learn how homeopathy might just be the missing piece in your health strategy.
Joette is not a physician and the relationship between Joette and her clients is not of prescriber and patient, but as educator and client. It is fully the client's choice whether or not to take advantage of the information Joette presents. Homeopathy doesn't "treat" an illness; it addresses the entire person as a matter of wholeness that is an educational process, not a medical one. Joette believes that the advice and diagnosis of a physician is often in order.

Congratulations, Joette – your blogpost is so amazing, someone decided to copy and paste it to Amazon as a book review for “The Solution”. Of course, people who have read your blog post have gone to look for the book on Amazon, and noticed. And made mention. What is it they say? Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery?
Awesome! Cilla’s practice has done wonders for me, my family members and friends. I am grateful to have crossed paths with her, as my eyes have been opened to new perspectives of health and wellness. My life is better because of what I have learned from her.
Does this book give information on how to un-vaccinate? I did follow mindlessly and vaccinate my first two children (ages 5 and 3.5). They have no side effects but I am still looking for remedies to correct this, and am finding it difficult. I plan to get the book anyway, but wanted to see if there was anything about de-vaccinating, or un-vaccinating. Not sure what the correct term is.
Warmly,
Hayley
Hi Joette!
You forgot something. You haven’t mentioned the millions of dogs and cats that are vaccinated and fed kibble dog food in a bag and then left with pet owners who think nothing about the common ailments that dogs and cats have that are cutting their lives short and costing their owners millions and millions of dollars a year to attempt to “fix” with more allopathic pills, creams, antibiotics and you name it!
One of my dogs, a young PBGV, came here to live with me at the age of 10 months. I had previously owned another PBGV with the symptoms of “vaccinosis” but didn’t know it. I continued vaccinating all three of them until I experienced the horrific death of the most wonderful dog a pet owner could ever have. Not only it took its toll on me, like it does with parents of autistic children, but it cost me $10,000 during the last year of his life, and the treatment the vet gave him just made it worse! Living through that nightmare made me issue a vow to do something different, and boy did I do something different!
I began raw feeding the next two who arrived only 2 weeks after the Grand Master DC passed away. I remember the vet who made it worse telling me that their puppy immune system will protect them until about the age of 2… and then we need we can begin to see things like itchy skin, yeasty ears, and other things like “allergies and runny noses!”
So I fed the best kibble dog food I could find (I didn’t know at the time that there is NO good kibble/processed food for dogs and cats) until I did my research.
And then I found a Yahoo group called rawfeeding, rawchat, rawcat and more. I found my home and started sourcing meat. As you know, the meat industry in this country is also poisoning us with all of the worst things that we could never imagine that they are spraying on meat… and the poultry industry!!! Are you kidding… feed my 2 pups raw chicken from Tyson’s! No way.
I finally found a Colorado rancher who was smart. He had a human meat business and decided to being to deliver raw pet meats (same human quality meat, different cuts) up and down I-25 from Cheyenne, WY to Southern Colorado! I jumped on it. That was 2 years ago. Then one had issues when I fed him bison heart the first time. Nothing wrong with the meat, but it was a gift from the heavens because it led me to a pet homeopath!
Had I not had DC leading me away from kibble and traditional vet care, these two would be eating kibble, getting vaccines and their immune systems would have been destroyed by now.
But my experience with the raw feeding people gave me confidence that I should start the little guy Walter on homeopathy right away. I got a referral and we started. He was a real miracle. Seriously, the first and only dose of belladona 30C changed all of the trouble he had from the vaccines in relationship to his digestive track, but he was eating rocks and pencils… and who knows what else. It was all cleared up with his (1) dose of the medicinal remedy. 🙂
This little guy was so bad that even I wondered if I could keep him several times. I had a dog trainer (a former vet tech) who told me he had “brain damage” and there was nothing I could do but TRAIN HIM. Ha! She also totally disagreed with a raw prey model diet as she was suffering from one of her own dog’s case of cancer. I could go on and on, but I’ll stop here.
But we must unite the parents and the pet owners in the educational piece. And when will parents who have kids and dogs connect the kids and family pets to being assaulted by the same Big Pharma and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), which came out with a ridiculous vote at their national convention last summer to recommend that their members do not support the raw feeding of their pets due to the harm that it can cause for the human family members!!
So I had a battle with the AVMA Twitter feed writer. Nothing accomplished with that battle, but the war is not over yet.
I seriously suggest that your friends who had the courage to write the book consider mentioning the struggle that pet owners are experiencing with pet vaccines, and not only the animals are getting sick just like the children are, but the AVMA won’t admit it and only a few states have changed vaccine legislation for pets to every 3 years, vs. annually.
Every parent who reads the book and says, “Hell no!” please say it twice, once for your children, once for your pets, and don’t forget the family elders!! They now give vaccines in Walgreens and every other “drug store” in America, and don’t forget because they (the Big Pharma via Medicare and other versions of what I call “poor people medical insurance”) to now send people to your homes to check on you… MOBILE DOCTORS who just might be able to give you the vaccine for the flu or anything else that they get paid for with “Federal healthcare dollar!”
It’s worse than we could even imagine even though we know about the assault on the America people.
I am with you ladies. My dogs have shown me the tremendous impact of a healthy with raw food diet (no kibble ever!), no vets, and remedies for their current health issues/symptoms and no expensive medical bills. And it is working. If I think I need a vet (which I haven’t needed but only 3 times in 3 years! Oh, and I can coach anyone through an interview with a surgeon who is making the determination to have surgery on a dog’s ACL tear.
I went to the surgeon to get a diagnosis only. The result was: torn ACL and a $3,000 bill for the surgery. Instead of surgery, I opted for a cheap amber remedy bottle; a vial of homeopathic pellets, which I will not identify here, some water and 2 teaspoons of French brandy. Admittedly, I had to keep him from jumping up and down, but if I’d had to hire a dog sitter to do that, it still wouldn’t have cost me $3,000.
I spent less than $30 on his remedy and had many enjoyable moments playing safe games with him and keeping him with all four feet on the ground. Of course it healed, and I spent the savings of $29,858.50 on healthy food, toys and more fun stuff while keeping most of the money in the bank!
We need to build a bigger coalition ladies!

Hi VIcki, i hear these stories every day. i always hope that folks understand that what’s good for the goose is good for the gander. homeopathy has a sterling reputation in the realm of veterinary care. in fact, many come to homeopathy through their pets, wildlife care and livestock needs.
your story is an inspiration. keep up the good work and consider buying yourself a homeopathy kit. then the remedy will coast closer to $2.50!
Hi Victoria,
I agree with you completely! I don’t have human children but I have fur children who benefit from homeopathy all the time.
I just ordered “What Vets Don’t Tell You About Vaccines” by Catherine M. O’Driscoll. The author is a true believer of homeopathy. I’m angry that I didn’t find out about this book’s existence before my most recent vet visit for my cattle dog mix. A routine wellness check wound up costing me $447 due to “necessary” vaccines and lab tests! And then they called and told me she was extremely healthy but she still needed a $175 dental cleaning. And this is a holistic vet! I’ve just switched to raw feeding and now I’m going to take control of the vaccine situation as well. I’m no longer going to let the fear that I’m somehow harming my dog if I DON’T listen to my vet dictate that I must trust them completely with my beloved pets. I’m getting smarter and taking responsibility for my own pets’ (and family’s) health.
(Sorry Joette, didn’t mean to hijack your comments column! :))
Hi Joette! This book looks great.
I’m wondering about the importance of children getting some of these childhood diseases. Does using this protocol rob them of the valuable immune-educating experiences of actually getting sick?
Perhaps only the most serious illnesses are discussed in the book, I’m not sure. So, wondering your thoughts on this matter.
Thanks!
It’s important for children to build their immunity to many childhood illnesses, such as colds,German measles, flu, chickenpox, etc. but we don’t want them getting whooping cough, polio, etc. and this book covers all of these.
My daughter got whooping couch while living in MN. She was almost four yrs old. We were not aware, we did not use allopathic remedies, so homeopathic remedies were used instead of coughing syrup that the pediatrician wanted us to use (which I refused to use). The pediatrician never believed what I said about my girl having whooping cough… it was a bit scary not knowing but manageable. You have the symptoms, then take the homeopathic medicines.
We went through most of the sickness without knowing until I had a nurse practitioner take a sample from my girl. I knew by then it was whooping cough even before the test confirmed it. I just wanted to know for sure.
I am not sure what having had whooping cough means for my daughter now that she is 27. But I trust homeopathy and, now with Joette’s guidance, she will be fine.
SO happy to have this referral for a book that tells people how to do it. I ordered 4 copies to give to people having babies in my life.
Hello,
Just to let you know that there are many veterinarians who are studying and implementing alternative and holistic modalities in their practices. I am one of them. There is also an AHVMA (American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association) AND a Foundation for concerned individuals to make donations in order to further scientific study of holistic modalities in veterinary medicine. These are both very well run, and ethical, organizations.

Hi Liz
Kate Birch came and did a talk on Homeoprophylaxis – rapid fire statistics -and answered that question.
Homeoprophylaxis gives the disease nosode as 200C then 10M
(homeopathic treatment of never well since vaccine gives the potentised vaccine).
She says that taking a disease nosode stimulates the immune system and educates it to respond with it’s own antibodies.
Her research shows graphs of wellness in areas including asthma and other ailments. She claims that the children who were given homeoprophylaxis treatment are more well than the children given constiutional homeopathy.
Hope that helps! Recommend you read the book, it’s thought provoking
Thanks for that, Bristol! Very helpful. I’m adding the book to my wishlist!
Incidentally homeoprophylaxis is given in Cuba, and Brazil, among other countries, and some countries in south east Asia are rolling out a program of homeoprophylaxis as their Government health policy.
Kate Birch mentioned that mass vaccination programme by homeopathic nosode is being manufactured and administered by the same organisation that manufacture and administers other vaccines.
As it is much cheaper and also is evidently KNOWN to be effective it may only be a matter of time before other countries follow suit and homeopathic vaccine is standard practice.
Homeopathy doesn’t interfere with natural responses unless it is used irresponsibly.
Where can the book be purchased? Do you have a link I can share on my homeopathynotes blog? :o)
scroll up to the top of this article and click on the title of the book. it will take you to Amazon.
you’ll love this book!
Tried clicking on the title and the photo neither worked as a link. Maybe it is broken?
An answer to my prayers. After deciding to stop vaccinating with my fifth child I was left in a state of limbo-NOW what? In fact, Joette, I was considering taking advantage of a phone consultation with you to ask you which course of action to take. Thank you! I hope this book answers more questions than it creates. I live in Greece where the non-vaccinating movement basically doesn’t even exist so I don’t have any positive feedback or encouragement from anyone- just odd looks of the what kind of mother ARE you type.
Great info, thanks for posting.
I’m wondering if someone out there has any information on the issue ‘vaccines’ in a complete different environment. I live in Brazil and our sanitary reality is far from perfect. Not to vaccinate here entails a different level of risk, for we are definitely more exposed to illnesses that people in the US or Europe. Besides, I don’t have professional support here if I decide not to vaccinate. Any information will be much appreciated.
Luciana
I am curious if the books give specific treatments for each common vaccine like one for tetanus one for whooping cough or is it just one solution to replace all vaccines?
Joette, you should link this to amazon so my running, not walking to get two copies would give you a bit of spare change!
Is there anywhere to purchase this book besides amazon.com? It isn’t currently available, or do you know when it will be available? Thanks!
This is the link I found for this book. http://www.amazon.com/The-Solution-Homeoprophylaxis-Vaccine-Alternative/dp/1480001910
It’s great for american citizens to have the choice. We foreigners need to complete a vaccination schedule to be able to stay legal in this country. No choice. Is there at least a remedy we could use to help the body cope with vaccines? THanks
I believe this book discusses that approach.
I was fascinated with this concept and purchased the book. I would like to implement something like this with my kids. What is the best way to pursue doing so? I had hoped to work with the author of the book, but I understood from an email response from your office that your recommendations would be different from the author’s. Where can I get the remedies and the proper protocol? I don’t want to let this drop until I have a good plan in place!
Thank you!
I don’t use the method that the authors use. If want to follow their method, you’d probably want to meet with them/her. If you’d like to work with me, you may contact my office, set up a free 15 minute conversation and see which avenue would best suit you.
so if someone had to take a lot of vaccines to enter the military and now is married and wants to have kids, should they do a vaccine detox with some homeopathic remedies first? Since there is always some sort of damage from vaccines? if they did, would thuja 30 be the best remedy?
Without knowing specifics of the case, all I can tell you is that Thuja 30, has been used for over a century to help with vaccinosis and I’ve witnessed its good work.
I am wondering if after the homeoprophylaxis, will the individual show immunity via a titer? This would be beneficial when unvaccinated students are excluded from school because of an outbreak.
I don’t believe that it does, but if you check anyway, you might be surprised that immunity may be acquired with corresponding titers regardless.
I saw your response above ” If you’d like to work with me, you may contact my office, set up a free 15 minute conversation and see which avenue would best suit you.”
I called for a 15 minute conversation about vaccinations and was told you won’t discuss them. Have you changed your policy?
I no longer offer 15-minute conversations as of several years ago. I thought we had removed that statement from all of our sites so I thank you for pointing this out to me. Instead, however, I offer a good deal of free information on my blogs, podcasts and Facebook Live events. I hope they help you.
Thank you, Joette, for all you do! I just finished reading “The Solution: Homeoprophylaxis: The Vaccine Alternative” and wish I had known more when my boys were younger (now 18 and 16). We did vaccinate, but with the schedule spread out. However,we are currently “behind” with a couple of them. We’ve decided we are not doing any more vaccines. My 16-year-old has a peanut allergy, intermittent asthma, susceptibility to colds, and ADHD. I am interested in homeoprophylaxis to boost his immune system and avoid any future vaccines. You mentioned that your approach is different from that of the authors. If I want to learn more about your approach, how should I proceed? Thank you!
