The media and modern medicine are beginning to catch up to what homeopathy has known for centuries:  antibiotics are dangerous drugs and any decision to use them ought to be well weighed.  So what do we do to replace antibiotics?  Why, homeopathy of course!  Homeopathy is a most efficacious method of not just addressing bacteria and virus related pathology, but leaving the sufferer in a better state than the one previous to the illness.

Joette laughingI am a homeopath with a worldwide practice working with families and individuals via Zoom. I'm also a teacher and most importantly, a mom who raised my now-adult children depending on homeopathy over the last 31 years. I lived decades of my life with food intolerances, allergies, and chemical sensitivities until I was cured with homeopathy, so I understand pain, anxiety, and suffering. You may feel that your issues are more severe or different than anyone else’s, but I have seen it all in my practice and in my work in India. My opinion is that nothing has come close to the reproducible, safe and effective results that my clients, students and I have achieved with homeopathy.

Call today and learn how homeopathy might just be the missing piece in your health strategy.

Joette is not a physician and the relationship between Joette and her clients is not of prescriber and patient, but as educator and client. It is fully the client's choice whether or not to take advantage of the information Joette presents. Homeopathy doesn't "treat" an illness; it addresses the entire person as a matter of wholeness that is an educational process, not a medical one. Joette believes that the advice and diagnosis of a physician is often in order.

I can attest to that! My 4 year old has never had antibiotics and I think her health and immunity are better for it.

So glad you’re calling attention to this. I agree with this in a lot of ways, but as someone who suffered from chronic late stage Lyme Disease and related coinfections, the only way for me to overcome the illness was with antibiotics in combination with homeopathic medicine. The experience made me a huge believer in homeopathy, because it made such a huge difference in my overall health. And I definitely experienced the negative side effects of antibiotics, but in my case neither form of treatment worked without the other. I encourage everyone I know to try homeopathy first before resorting to prescription pills, but I think it’s important to consider that antibiotics are necessary for certain infections. Of course the ideal route is to keep our immune systems healthy and our bodies in balance so that we don’t get to that point. But I would hate to see people write antibiotics off completely when there are situations in which they save lives (mine for instance!).

    1. Cynthia says:

Kim-We also found a multi-prong approach to work well with Lyme’s (new not chronic) except we used antibacterial essential oils and Rife treatments instead of conventional antibiotics in addition to the homeopathy and other avenues..

  3. Anthony Cray says:

Yes I believe these drug companies have tainted peoples mindset of what makes them healthy. The Earth provides all that we need naturally. My favorite is the Acai berry.

  4. It is allways better to let your body heal its self i think.

  5. Lynn says:

I was on massive amounts of antibiotics for four years after having rheumatic fever which went into rheumatic heart disease. It was the protocol back in the 60’s. My immune system was shot after the regimen. I think being on the antibiotics played havoc on my health for many, many years! However, I do have a concern about not using antibiotics if I have strep throat. I cannot risk the results of having strep throat with my heart murmur. Is there anything homeopathic to be used if diagnosed with strep?

    1. Yes! Homeopathy has been shown to successfully treat strep throat again and again!

  6. Kevin says:

I have looked at all your articles that I could find on antibiotics and can only see that everyone says they are bad. Where is the concoction your suppose to take instead?

I went to the dentist and was told to take an antibiotic to prevent an infection while I healed and looked all over for what TO take….nothing. I ended up taking the antibiotic and now I am trying to eat enough yogurt to get me right again.

I too am looking for this information. My son will be having his wisdom teeth out soon and the oral surgeon wants him to take two capsules of antibiotic prior to surgery. Any advice as to which remedy to give him instead?

I am passionate about homeopathy, used it for the last 30+ years on my children and family. My daughter got cystitis and was with her sister in law at the time who TOOK her off to the Gp who put her onto antibiotics. Sister in law’s words were “antibiotics will sort it out once and for all!” This REALLY upset me as my daughter has never had antibiotics in her life. She had eczema as a baby and homeopathy “cured” her. She found that her eczema returned after she took the antibiotics!! I do believe it was the antibiotics that upset her system. I was wondering if you could write an article on how antibiotics ruin the body as I feel antibiotics have messed with her body. I hope I am explaining myself correctly.
    Thanks for your interesting articles.

    Hi Joette!

Listening to episode 9 of your podcast about getting off antibiotics (loving your podcasts btw. Ive been taking notes). I had found the Banerji protocol for getting off antibiotics that you also mentioned in that episode.

That protocol is said to address stomach issues and incomplete bowels. Would that also address patients with acute onset of reflux post antibiotics? If not, would you propose a different combo with Nux Vomica?

I urge you to consider learning more about how to approach such by understanding how to choose the medicine, how to pivot as well as case management in my online course “Good Gut Bad Gut” found on this page https://courses.joettecalabrese.com/

      1. Nick says:

Will definitely take the course within the next year or 2. Currently starting with our podcasts, your Materia Medica and these blogs due to temp. financial limitations. Your podcasts really help since I’ve been on the road a lot lately.

I can appreciate the teach yourself approach. Helps learn more and ingrains the material. Thank your for your responses!

P.s. I laughed on episode 9 bc I took Accutane back (Harsh stuff) in college and went to the nurse when I had a sore throat. Thankfully I didn’t end up in a drug spiral.

‘Nice to hear a little bit about you, Nick.
          Keep up the good work.

My husband went to the VA emergency room yesterday for a slightly swollen mouth on one side of his face and was prescribed Clindamycin HCL antibiotic 150MG capsules 2 capsules, 4xday. After a total of 2x’s the first day and 1x today(the 2nd day) he developed a buldging of his throat and chin as an effect. He is going to call the clinic today as to what it may be. Does this sound like a serious reaction to the antibiotics?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

I can’t say but it’s certainly possible. Check out on line.
