Eliminate Jet Lag with the right homeopathic remedy

I didn’t want to write about this subject until I was certain that I didn’t experience jet lag. Well, it’s now Day 4 of my and my husband’s India trip, and I can report that we have been free of jet lag. Our travel time from the moment we took off at the Buffalo, New York, Airport until we touched down in Kolkata, India, was just over 30 hours. This was certainly a true test.

This is what I did:

I put about 15 drops of grapefruit seed extract plus 1-3 drops of oregano oil in a small plastic spritzer bottle that I bought at the Dollar Store. On boarding the plane from New York City to travel east to Dubai, I filled the bottle with water given to me by the flight attendant. That way, there was no problem as I went through security. The bottle looked empty.

I spritzed my face and hands with the water every few hours to remain clean and hydrated. My husband didn’t want to be spritzed, so he only joined me in drinking a few large bottles of water while on the long leg of the journey and in Dubai.

As per a recommendation from my world-traveling friend, Sue, we slept as many hours as possible on the long flight and also resisted taking any naps once we arrived in our destination. I actually fell asleep sitting up in the airport (I never do this, but this time, it just happened!) for a few minutes, but I promise, that’s all.

The homeopathic secret is to take Arnica montana 30 every 6 hours or so, which we both did. We only took 3 doses each.

I’m here to report that my system worked! We were both somewhat tired the first day but now have good energy, walking through markets, buying gifts, taking photos and videos, and I’ll be in good stead to begin my work at the homeopathy research clinic starting tomorrow morning.

Thanks to water, essential oils, good advice and, of course, homeopathy.

I am a homeopath with a worldwide practice working with families and individuals via Zoom. I'm also a teacher and most importantly, a mom who raised my now-adult children depending on homeopathy over the last 31 years. I lived decades of my life with food intolerances, allergies, and chemical sensitivities until I was cured with homeopathy, so I understand pain, anxiety, and suffering. You may feel that your issues are more severe or different than anyone else’s, but I have seen it all in my practice and in my work in India. My opinion is that nothing has come close to the reproducible, safe and effective results that my clients, students and I have achieved with homeopathy.

Call today and learn how homeopathy might just be the missing piece in your health strategy.

I have travelled to China a couple of times and jet lag never bothered me going (I thought it was the excitement of the trip), but it took several days/week to recover once we were home. I will be interested to hear how this works after your trip.

Do you start taking the Arnica as soon as you board the plane? And, should one continue taking the Arnica after landing?

when do you start taking the Arnica 30

I usually begin taking it the opening of the day of the travel.

When you say 30, do you mean 30x or 30c? Thank you 🙂

Whichever you find most readily available in your neck of the woods.

  6. Andrea says:

Thanks Joette! Do you take the Arnica montana 30 beginning on the plane or after landing?

  7. Tiffany says:

Thank you, Joette! In a video posted to your Facebook page in January 2017, you suggest Cocculus 30 to combat jet lag. In this post you recommend Arnica 30, e6H. Which remedy have you found to work best? Or may they both be used, dosing alternately?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

One or the other or both used alternately. There are actually others, such as Nux vomica, but these are my favorites.

  8. Lindsay says:

How big was the spritz bottle or about how much water did you end up adding?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

      About 6 ounces or so.

  9. Karyl says:

Thanks Joette! We’re travelling soon with kids and dog: Manila-LAX then DC to Ethiopia. This should help us. Guess will give to our dog also 🙂
