Two years ago, I found myself sitting in the Calcutta airport waiting for a flight when I had the pleasure of meeting a nun from Mother Teresa's order, The Sisters of Charity. I will refer to her as Sister Bernadette throughout this post for the sake of her privacy, though I simply felt the need to share this information with all of you.

We exchanged pleasantries and during our conversation, I shared that I am a practitioner and educator of homeopathy. Happily, since our chance meeting, Sister Bernadette and I have remained in contact via snail mail, as she has continued to seek my help for her and some of her fellow sisters' ailments through the use of homeopathic remedies.

As a special treat to all of you, I am sharing our last exchange containing the list of conditions she has sought my help for, followed by my responses, in the hopes that others may benefit in the same way The Sisters of Charity have.

I continue to work with Catholic nuns and priests from all over the world sharing this, and other, invaluable information. Please feel free to pass this along to those you believe may enjoy the same effective results.

Enjoy!

Dear Sister Bernadette,

How pleasant to hear from you!

I’m happy to help with you and your fellow Sisters’ needs. I’ve outlined the conditions you've listed followed by the appropriate remedies below. You may readily purchase them in both London and Calcutta at most local pharmacies.

For those remedies that require mixing, many find it easiest to do so by taking a dose of one and a dose of the other simultaneously.

The number of pills (when homeopathic) or drops (when mother tincture) is indicated on the side of the bottles.

May God bless you and the Sisters.

Warmly,

Joette

  1. Low thyroid:  Bromium 6 mixed with Lycopodium 200, twice daily for as long as a year if needed. If someone is on thyroid drugs, we find that they need to back off slowly as the need is diminished. This is a Banerji Protocol and I’ve yet to see it fail given the requisite amount of time.

  1. High Blood Pressure: Rhus tox 30 mixed with Aconitum 200, twice daily for at least 6 months. This is a Banerji Protocol. As long as the expectations are not unrealistic, this is a gentle but powerful medicine.

  2. Acid in the Stomach: I assume you mean indigestion, where there is burping of acidic substances from the lower esophagus into the upper esophagus, and perhaps burning. If so, start with Nat phos 6X before every meal.

  3. Arthritis: Symphytum 200 mixed with Rhus tox 30, twice daily for 2 months. From this point on, it can be used as needed. This is a Banerji Protocol, and it is like gold!

  1. Kidney stones: Berberis vulgaris mother tincture and Sarsaparilla 30C, twice daily. Both should be used for 3 months. This is a Banerji Protocol.

  1. Leg pain (if in the muscles): Mag phosphorica 6X mixed with Calc phos 6X twice daily, and Cuprum metallicum 6, twice daily.

  2. Cyst: Sister, I’d need to know where the cyst resides before determining protocols.

Whether you pass this on to the religious in your life, to your neighbor or a family member, let it do good wherever it lands.

I am a homeopath with a worldwide practice working with families and individuals via Zoom. I'm also a teacher and most importantly, a mom who raised my now-adult children depending on homeopathy over the last 31 years. I lived decades of my life with food intolerances, allergies, and chemical sensitivities until I was cured with homeopathy, so I understand pain, anxiety, and suffering. You may feel that your issues are more severe or different than anyone else’s, but I have seen it all in my practice and in my work in India. My opinion is that nothing has come close to the reproducible, safe and effective results that my clients, students and I have achieved with homeopathy.

Call today and learn how homeopathy might just be the missing piece in your health strategy.

From one Catholic to another — Thank you!

Will the arthritis protocol help a young woman with debilitating arthritis who has almost tried “everything” and has almost given up hope, and even has almost given up on life? (My neighbor)

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Most people, particularly in North America don’t find homeopathy until they have tried everything else. I can’t say that it will work for everyone, without taking the case and learning the particulars, but it has a very good success rate, especially when it is osteoarthritis.

  2. Micheline Babin says:

Different of watt I use in my practice but Went it work i’s ok

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Homeopathy has so many medicines and uses and is worked by so many different hands, it is a pleasure to compare what is used world wide. Please share your favorites.

Homeopathy for All, All for Homeopathy!
May God / Eeshwar / Allah bless you!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

      yes!

  4. Michele says:

Would this low thyroid protocol also apply to Hashimoto’s or is that a different protocol?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

THis protocol is used for both garden variety hypothyroid as well as Hoshimoto’s.

  5. J. J. Buelow says:

Is there help for a ganglion cyst on the inside of the right wrist? I have had the ganglion cyst for many years at work; I’ve been retired for 13 years and still have it; It is sometimes painful.

    Thank you.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Yes there is, but I feel compelled to offer a full article on the subject because it is a little more complex than a simple protocol. I will write about it soon.

      1. Elizabeth Heyenga says:

        Following!

  6. LuAnn says:

Thank you for this helpful advice to the Missionaries of Charity. God bless you!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

May God bless you too, LuAnn.

  7. Holly says:

On thyroid, would the suggestion for hypothyroid be the same as hyperthyroid?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

This protocol is for hypothyroid only.

      1. Paula Taylor says:

Is there a protocol for hyperthyroid? I was just recently diagnosed and am looking for one.

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Hyperthyroidism is usually more complex than a simple protocol. The case would need to be taken.

  8. Sharon says:

Thank you, Joette, for your continued care of the clergy and religious. I too am Catholic and these faithful are very dear to my heart.
Thank you for sharing this valuable information! It will help my dear father and my daughter if I were to tell you her cyst is over her spine between the shoulder blades. God bless

  9. Theresa says:

Thank you, Joette, for sharing these. What if an individual requires both the HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE protocol and the ARTHRITIS protocol? They both have Rhus Tox 30 mixed with another remedy. 🙂

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

THey can both be used and considered separate protocols.

      1. Theresa says:

        thank you 🙂

        1. Donna Cook says:

So, Joette, I want to make sure I understand this correctly, since I had the same question…..you are saying take Rhus Tox 30c along with Symphytum 200 AND Aconite 200 all together twice daily?? Thanks

          1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

To what protocol are you referring?

  10. Heather S. says:

What a neat relationship you have with this sister! I am Catholic also and it’s so neat to see how homeopathy can help everyone.

  11. Natalie says:

This entire post is just beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing it, DVD for helping our dear Sisters!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Hi Natalie! ‘So nice to hear from you.

  12. Natalie says:

    And*

My phone tries to be smart, but it fails miserably. 😉

  13. Kathy says:

Hello Jolette,my quetion is there a protocol for women going in the menopause ,with hot flushes and sweatting hole day and night ,heavy legs(calves) and dry eyes (eyelids)?Thank you for your great work
    love and peace Kathy

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

i believe I’ve written on these subjects on this blog. Key in the search bar the words menopause, hormones, hot flashes, dry eyes, etc.

  14. Rose Alison says:

This is such valuable information. Thank you SO much for sharing it so freely. I love your blog posts!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

thanks! Pls pass it on to others.

  15. Missy says:

Thank you for sharing these protocols. My question is when you say a remedy “mixed with” another remedy, how is this dosed (water dosing or sublingual)? Do you recommend all remedies water dosed or sublingual? Many thanks and blessings!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Either method works, but I prefer sublingual because there’s less room for error.

  16. Carla says:

Hi Joette. Do you most commonly use Lycopodium 200 now for low thyroid? I know in you GGBG class I have seen the potency 30C used as well as 200C. Do you think the 200 works better?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Its actually based on the case.

  17. Nancy says:

    I’m a little confused.
In your “Catholic Sisters” article you wrote:
    4. Arthritis: Symphytum 200 mixed with Rhus tox 30, twice daily for 2 months. From this point on, it can be used as needed. This is a Banerji Protocol and it is like gold!

In your “From Tendon, Bone and Cartilage Problems” you wrote:
For arthritis of the knee: Symphytum 200 mixed with Arnica Montana 200, taken twice daily.

    Can you explain??

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

The 1st protocol is for arthritis in general, while the 2nd is specific for the knees.

      1. Rachel says:

        Mrs. Calabrese,

I see here how you share that the Banerji’s have protocols for arthritis in general and also a protocol specific for arthritis in the knees… do they have one specific for the small joints of the hands or are knees the only variant?

        Thank you very much!

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

Knees are one of a few variants. I cover this pretty thoroughly in my course titled “Pain”.

  18. Dawn says:

Joette-concerning your low thyroid rememdy (thank you!), can you speak to a remedy after a thyroidectomy?

  19. Judy says:

Are the remedies in each protocol taken at the same time or separately at different times?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

When they are stated as “mixed with”, they are considered one remedy and taken as one. If however, they are different medicines, they are best taken apart by about 15 minutes or so.

  20. Leia says:

Thank you for sharing this information! You’re blog is like gold to me! I found another Banerji Protocol for hypothyroid on Dr. Banerji’s website and it is Bromium 6 and Thyroidinum 200 but I was told to take the remedies at separate times. Now I’m confused after reading this Banerji Protocol where they are taken together. Should Thyroidinum be mixed with Bromium when taking these for low thyroid as well? Thank you!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I learned this protocol while working with them in Calcutta. Sometimes the protocols change according to what they are presently observing.

  21. Stephen says:

I noticed the Lycopodium 200 you linked to above is 200CK is there a difference in efficacy whether you use a 200C vs. 200CK? Thanks.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

They are enough the same to be, in my estimation, interchangeable.

  22. Jackie says:

I assume the Rhus Tox 30 in the blood pressure protocol is 30C? Or will my 30X work?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I often don’t include x or c in my protocols because our readers originate from all over the world and many times both are not available. I use c for this particular one.

      1. Jackie says:

Thank you, I think I will start with the 30C and move to the 30C when it comes. Any other suggestions for post partum high blood pressure? I assume that mine is related to hormones and anxiety I struggled with while pregnant.

  23. Jackie says:

Oops, I’ll star with 30x and move to 30c.

  24. Emily says:

This maybe addressed in other articles on your site I’m new here. But, is taking a 200 everyday for a year a cause for provings?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

It will set up a proving if the remedy is poorly chosen or is used incorrectly.

  25. Lois says:

    What is a “proving”?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I’ve attached this site for an in depth understanding of a proving.
      http://www.heilkunst.com/proving.html

  26. DRMAHESH says:

    hello madam
im new to this site, i want to know about the treatment protocol for calcaneal spur

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

This is a worthy topic for future blogs.

    2. Amy says:

Hekla lava will cure your calcaneal spur

      1. kim says:

will this also work for neck spurs?

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Will what work for heel spurs?

  27. gkuintzle says:

In the Banerji book it says to take Bromium 6c and Lycopodium 30c in liquid. This blog says lycopodium 200c. Which one is accurate?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Both are correct. There are many ways to skin a cat.

  28. gkuintzle says:

Is there a way to know if the lycopodium 200c is better for one person vs another? Or if they take the lycopodium 30c liquid for a while is there a way to know if you need the stronger potency?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

If you’re hoping for the results that I describe, following the protocol including potencies is the best way to achieve that.

  29. Debbie smith says:

For the Hypothyroid protocol can one make a tincture for ease of taking it for a year? If so, how many pellets of each to mix?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I suppose, but for something that is important, I’d just use the pellets.

      1. Debbie smith says:

Thank you! I am always confused on number of pellets. How many of each?

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

No need for confusion. Read the label on the bottle and it will tell you how many pills equal a dose. Each manufacturing pharmacy has different amounts that comprise a dose.

  30. gkuintzle says:

so how many symptoms are necessary to determine a low thyroid if blood tests are normal. If the person has constipation occasionally (doesn’t go a day) periodically and has a real weight problem even though they eat wonderful organic, no sugar or white products, upset menstral cycles off and on and a body temperature about 97 degrees in the morning before getting up and generally below 98.5 regularly, occasional headaches and anxiety is that enough?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I find that a diagnosis from a naturopath or MD is most reliable.

  31. mat4 says:

My daughter is currently beginning the protocol above for kidney stones. I see in the Banerji Book that they also recommend Cantharis mother tincture for acute symptoms (stone is passing and causing extreme pain) alternating it with berberis tincture.
I cant find Cantharis Tincture after looking at various homeopathic providers. Should I offer instead Cantharis 3c or 6c? or Cantharis 200?
and along that same line of thinking, I see the ‘second line’ for kidney stone is Equisetum Hyemale tincture and OHM carries Equisetum Arvense. Do you think they are interchangeable? Or should I hunt down the E.arvense somewhere else?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I have no experience with Cantharis 3c or 6c,so I can’t say. But in my experience when one has no other choice, the remedy at hand is the best. As for the tincture, again, I can’t say but the plant appears to be structurally the same but grows in different parts of the world.

Having said this, it’s always best to make the effort to find the exact medicine, if possible. Have you tried calling the pharmacies instead of going only to their sites? And have you tried contacting Helios in England?

  32. mat4 says:

    Thanks.
Looking further, I found that the different Equisetums common names are considered all the same Equisetum. But having said that, A2Zhomeopathy carries both E arvense and E. hyemale but cant find tincture. Helios has the tinctures, but cant find them on Washington Hom.Pharm.
Tuesday I will call Washington Hom.Pharm and OHM and maybe a2z and see what they say about Cantharis tincture.

  33. Dj says:

I saw this for Low thyroid: Bromium 6 mixed with Lycopodium 200— I’m having trouble finding the bromium6 locally or in a few homeopathic websites. Where is the best pls e to order the Bromium 6c.
    Thank you

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

      Amazon.

  34. Vickie says:

We are on vacation and my son-in-law thinks he has a kidney stone. What is a “mother tincture”?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

MT is the herb in alcohol form. Many health food stores will carry it.

  35. Ashley says:

Is it safe to use arthritis protocol for osteoarthritis of hands that has caused limitations of joint mobility and somewhat misshapen fingers? You’ve commented on power of Symphytum to knit bones together.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

It knits bones that are broken; it does not knit joints together. My mother was cured of OA with this medicine.

  36. Nicole Cischke says:

Hello Joette…I am currently taking Bromium 6C and Lycopodium 30C as the banerji protocol for Hypothyroidism. The banerji protocol book says this is the potency to use for each remedy. However, after reading this post, I see that you have recommended Lycopodium to be in the 200C potency. May I ask, is this your recommended potency for the lycopodium different for a reason? I am 7weeks into the protocol and don’t want to short change myself if I should be bumping up my Lycopodium potency. Thanks ? nmc

    1. Courtney Ingham says:

It can be used both ways.

  37. Meredith Thomas says:

My 33 y.o. daughter has had some problems with kidney stones and has begun to use the Berberis tincture with Sarsaparilla 30c 2D. It may be that she has been on it 3 months now. or even longer. Maybe 5 months.
My question is this: Do the Banerji’s have pregnant patients use this protocol?
My daughter is 5 months pregnant.
    Thank you

    1. Courtney Ingham says:

Always make certain that the homeopathic is truly still needed before committing to the idea of many months of use. I can’t say whether the Banerjis use this during pregnancy and I know no particular reason for it to be a concern, but I’d still be cautious during such a time.

  38. Carol Proffitt says:

My friend started taking the hypothyroid protocol (bromium 6 and lyco 200) 2 weeks ago. She just had her thyroid tested and it was significantly worse than it had been the last year (It had not changed at all the last year.) Do you think she should stop taking the remedy or is it possible your symptoms might get worse before they get better?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

2 weeks is certainly not enough time for a medicine to act when its a chronic condition. I can’t say whether she should use it or not, but it often takes many months for improvements to show.

  39. Carol Proffitt says:

    Joette,

First, thank you for your quick response to the question regarding my friends thyroid and second thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you have done. I am currently leading a study group and it has been such a blessing. I am hoping our group gets to have a live discuss with you because I would love to meet you personally and have several questions regarding homeopathy and protocols. I have listened to almost all of your post casts, read most of your blogs, have several of your cd’s and hope someday I can afford to take some of your courses. God bless you!!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Carol, ‘So happy that we’re connecting. I would love to meet you and your group. Set it up with Eileen in my office and I’ll be there!

  40. Nadia says:

    How do you purchase these

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

      click on them.

  41. Elizabeth says:

Joette, thank you for the wonderful articles. I have a question about the high blood pressure combination. I started using it about a month ago and after a week of taking it, I started having terribly aching pain in my feet and knees. If I don’t take the remedy then it goes away so I’m quite sure it if from this combination. I’m trying to take it every other day to see if that helps. It has been successful in helping my blood pressure. Any suggestions?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Its sometimes worth trying a protocol less frequently to see how it goes.We have other protocols as a 2nd level if this doesn’t fully act.

  42. Joette, thank you for this post! I have Hashimoto’s hypothyroidism and am very interested in trying the protocol you mention here. My only worry is I am also pregnant (9 weeks). Would this be safe for someone who is pregnant? Thank you thank you thank you!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Without taking your case, I wouldn’t recommend a specific protocol. I’ve not seen a problem with those discussed during pregnancy.

  43. Danielle says:

    Hi Joette,
If someone has had kidney stones in the past would it be wise to take the remedy to root out
The problem so the person doesn’t get them again?
    Thank you!
    Daniele

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I don’t approach it from that perspective. However, if the person has other UT conditions such as urgency, by using the medicine for that condition, it can be an opportunity to make the correction to the calculi history as well. This is because we often use the same medicines for both.

  44. Paula Taylor says:

Is there a protocol for hyperthyroidism? Just recently diagnosed and am looking for one. Thank you

  45. Mary says:

When talking about the low thyroid you mentioned backing off slowly from thyroid drug… Does slowly mean every other day, once a week…can you give me some idea, so far this week I have only taken one, I’m afraid I’m backing off to fast. One more question please, would the protocol for kidney stones be the same for UTI? The left side of my lower back hurt so bad after I urinated, it almost took my breath away, I immediately thought kidney stone but I’m thinking UTI, especially since my fearful trip to the doctor. I took Aconite 200 since this condition was brought on by fear.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I urge you to not make these kinds of decisions without the involvement of a professional healthcare provider.

UTI’s are very different from kidney stones. It is important that you get a diagnosis as soon as possible.

  46. Mary Herman says:

On arthritis protocol you said Symphytum 200 mixed with Rhus Tox 30. Would that be the same for rheumatoid arthritis? Would this protocol be for several months? Thank you ?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

RA is a different situation altogether.

      1. Mary Herman says:

Is there a protocol for RA? I know Boericke lists rheumatoid arthritis under Thyroidinum…does Banerji have a protocol for RA?

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I may write about that subject in the future but it’s not a simple discussion, which is why I haven’t done so yet.

          1. Katie Wilson says:

This was my question as well since your comments indicate it is for osteoarthritis as opposed to rheumatoid arthritis. Would be interested in learning more about treating RA. Also curious if your symptoms need to be flaring in order to benefit from the protocol.

          2. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I have not covered the method I use for RA on my blog because it’s more complicated to teach in a short blog. Perhaps it would be helpful for you to know that in my experience one of the keys to unlocking this condition is the connection to food intolerances. And it often is related to the eating of plants.

  47. Mary Herman says:

Low thyroid, I understand Bromium 6….but I’m confused on the other is it Lycopodium 200? or Thyroidinum 200?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

There are times when we use Lycopodium along with Bromium and there are times when we use Thyroidinum. It is a case by case decision.

  48. Julie Swain says:

Which Aconitum 200 do you use for the high blood pressure? There are a few different ones and I didn’t want to order the wrong one. Thank you!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

It’s customary practice on the internet, to click on the highlighted word in question. This takes you to a buying source as well as more detailed information.

  49. Julie Swain says:

Oh, I totally missed that it was a link. Thank you. 🙂

  50. DK says:

I noticed that you have the Berberis tincture for Kidney stones. What dosage? And is this same remedy for an acute passing Kidney stone situation? Just taking more often? Both items? Would you ever take Berberis homeopathic (pellets) instead? I wonder because sometimes when people are in active passing stage they are vomiting and might be hard to take tincture.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

In order to answer these questions, I’d have to write a good deal more on the subject which I plan to do in the near future.

  51. Mika says:

Can salsaparilla be used in pregnancy to remove kidney stones? Thanks

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Sarsaparilla may be used during pregnancy.

  52. Jaime says:

Can Hashimoto’s be helped with the hypothyroidism protocol given here–or does Hashimoto’s require separate remedies?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

We sometimes use the same medicine for both conditions.

  53. Mary says:

I know you say it’s best to follow a protocol, but I was wondering for kidney stones can homeopathic Berberis Vulg pellets be used instead of the mother tenture?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

      I don’t know.

  54. Rita Parsons says:

I have secondary hypothyroidism caused by Pituitary Adenoma – do you think the protocol would still work?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I can’t say whether a specific homeopathic will work or not, but I can say that etiology is not often important in choosing a remedy.

  55. Mary says:

Would Berberis Vulg or Sarsaparilla be helpful for chronic kidney disease?

  56. Holly says:

Joette, thank you so much for all the valuable information you share with us on your blog. In this post you mention a cyst, but state that the location is important to find the correct remedy. My daughter has a ganglion cyst on her achilles tendon, can you point me in the right direction for a remedy. Thanks!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I cover cysts in my skin course titled “Skin the Ugly Truth”.

  57. Cristina says:

Hi Joette, I started taking the high blood pressure remedy because my bp was at about 135/95. Since being on the remedy it has steadily climbed. Not sure if it is me or the remedy. Could the remedy cause a spike in blood pressure before bringing it down gently? Also, is this a remedy that can be taken while on blood pressure medication? I’m not on any meds now but anticipating i will be prescribed once i go in for my physical. Thank you for your help!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

This is not the venue for case taking. I don’t know if you realize it, but that is what you’re doing by asking me to answer these questions.
What I mean by this is if I were to answer properly, I’d need to know how long you’ve been taking the homeopathic, your age, what other conditions are present, what other meds or supplements are being taken that might influence blood pressure, etc.

And I can’t do that on a blog.

  58. Cristina says:

Okay, that makes sense, thank you. Does that also apply to the question of whether one can take homeopathic remedies for a condition while also taking medications for said condition? I don’t know if it depends on many factors or if it is a general rule of homeopathy whether one can take remedies and medication for a particular condition at once. I apologize in advance if this also falls within the realm of questions that cannot be answered on this forum.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

No apologies necessary. To answer your question, yes homeopathy may be taken right alongside conventional medications.

  59. Alison says:

Hi Joette! Would it be ok for someone with High Blood pressure to take the Banjeri protocol of Aconite 200c + Rhus Tox 30c 2D along with Crataegus Mother Tincture 5 drops in water 2D? (You mentioned this is also good for hypertension in your article “My Dad and the Dead Cardiologists”). Or is it best to stick with one protocol at a time? The gentleman I’m trying to help is not on blood pressure medication, as he does not like the side effects, but his BP has been high for years, and he has been getting some dizzy spells. Thanks!

  60. David Mueller says:

    Joette,
Is there a way I can determine what the success rate is for the Banerji Protocol for papillary thyroid cancer? My friend would like to try this for her 13 year old daughter to give her a chance to keep her thyroid, but it would really help for her to know the odds of the treatment working! I assume the Banerji Clinic has data about it, but it’s not accessible to us.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I don’t have access to their data.

  61. Heather W says:

Is the high blood pressure protocol you mention in the article safe for a pregnant woman with is normal, low risk, pregnancy?

  62. Daniella says:

Is the protocol for gallstons the same as kidney stones?

  63. Ann says:

Can a protocol be used for the thyroid if the thyroid had been removed?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Yes, but it may or may not be the one discussed here.

  64. Deirdra Doan says:

    I have enjoyed your posts

Int husband had a stroke. We have been blessed for 30 years of classical homeopathic treatment life changing but now stroke is a different animal

The poetical you take about from India said this for stroke

He is Nux Vomica right now

    Would this interfere
And would LAC 200 that often graft on something? Or am I thinking Classical

    Stroke form their web

“Please try the following – Rhus Tox 30 + Arnica Montana 3 taken together twice daily, Lachesis 200 every alternate morning for a period of three months and report to your local homeopath.”

Do you think they mean Arnica 30 not 3?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

If you’re asking me if a homeopathic protocol will interfere with a constitutional, my answer is that generally, it doesn’t.
The protocol is indeed RT 30 + Arnica 3.
Having said this, your homeopath should be able to work with you on this condition.

  65. Deirdra says:

How will I know when you return reply
    Can you notify me?

  66. Kelley says:

So a remedy protocol like this won’t cause a proving?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Provings occur when the medicine that is chosen is incorrect.

  67. Nietzah says:

    Hi joette
I a a huge fan! Thank you for all the posts!
I have a cyst on my thyroid and I am a bit hypothyroid. I’m thinking of taking the hypothyroid protocol, would that help with the cyst as well?
I should probably mention I get ovarian cysts as well! I’m assuming there’s a connection there
    All the best,
    Nietzah

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Without fully taking your case, I can’t say that this is the protocol best suited to you.

  68. Erika says:

Is the low thyroid combo of Bromium and Lycopodium safe for pregnancy? I know there are a few remedies that should possibly be avoided during pregnancy, but am not sure which ones…

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I’m not aware of contraindications in general but everyone is different and remember, nothing has guaranteed safety.

  69. Regina says:

I’m developing some type of arthritis. Just want to know that homeopathy can treat either kind RA or osteo? My fingers and toes are starting to hurt. I’m taking the remedy that you used for your fibromyalgia so I’m thinking that it may be RA because the remedy would probably help if it we’re osteoarthritis. I’m falling apart Joette!

  70. Regina says:

Joette can homeopathy cure RA or just treat the symptoms?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

Homeopathy doesn’t treat symptoms; it uses them to determine the remedy choice.

  71. Regina says:

I feel stupid for asking that. I knew that. My thinking cap is not on today I’m going through so much. It seems as though I will probably have to add RA to my consult list. I’m definitely not taking a chemo drug. Just heard from a friend whose family member took it for RA and it destroyed her liver and gave her ovarian cancer. I believe she died from it all.

  72. Lisa Roy says:

I have hypothyroidism due to the docs killing my thyroid with radiation 25 years ago. I have been on levothyroxine since. I had a bio meridian test done and it showed my thyroid still had some activity. Will this protocol work for me? Will it help my body to regrow my thyroid?

  73. Deanna says:

If taking these remedies for the above conditions does it mean take 4-5 pellets for each dose? Arthritis for example: 4 -5 pellets of symphytum twice a day mixed with 4-5 pellets of Rhus tox twice per day?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

Yes, a dose is often 4-5 pellets. It of course depends on the manufacturing pharmacy. Some pharmacies determine that 10 pellets are better because they’re smaller.

  74. Danika says:

Hi Joette, I’ve been searching for some information on HYPERthyroidism for cats. I’ve googled your name and the issue but can’t seem to come across anything. Any suggestions? Many thanks always, Danika

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

Hyperthyroid rems for cats is the same as for humans. I cover it fully in my online course titled “Feminopathy”
      Courses.JoetteCalabrese.com

      1. Devin says:

        Hi, Mrs. Joette!

I am suffering from a kidney stone. I clicked on the link provided for Berberine vulgarus mother tincture. The site takes me to dry pill options only (30 or 200C), not liquid form. I have heard you say many times to follow the EXACT protocol for successful results from the Drs. Banerji. I suspect OHM has this mother tincure, however, I lack over a week of being able to gain access to OHM (that’s when I will be able to take the end-of-course final purchased from you). I called your office to grant earlier access for OHM over a week ago but was denied. Since I am unable to find a mother tincture for Berberine, my only option left is dry pills. Given my situation with no access to mother tinctures yet, what potency of dry pills do you suggest for this condition? Berberine 30 or 200C (along with Sarasparilla 30C of course)?

Thank you so much for all you do and all you have taught me through articles, FB lives, being a Mighty Member, and your course! My life is FOREVER changed because of homeopathy!! 🙂

        Devin

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, PHom M says:

Did you look on Amazon? Dr. Reckeweg has a good reputation.

          1. Devin says:

Yes, I saw that one on Amazon but was not sure if it was a reputable source/manufacturer to buy from as well as a “Mrs. Joette approved.” I will go with this brand for now.

Thank you for the recommendation, Mrs. Joetee!!
