Drs Prasanta and Pratip Banerji

Question: I was speaking with my classical homeopath yesterday about the Banerji Protocol, and he was saying that remedies can suppress disease, especially in higher doses than 30C. He says that this form of homeopathy is more like allopathic medicine and can have unwanted side effects that may show years later or even just create energetic disharmony within the person. I so appreciate all that you teach to moms to help them care for their families and empower them. I have had positive experiences with what you have shared and want to continue to learn from you, and I am now confused by what he said. Could you please speak to this in hopes of clearing up some of this confusion?

Answer: Ask your homeopath if he uses Arnica for old head injuries or after surgery or if he uses Belladonna for strep infections. How about Arsenicum for dysentery? Ledum for bites? If so, he’s using a protocol that is not strictly classical.

If we classical homeopaths are honest, we will admit that protocols are a part of every practice. A number of types of protocols have been developed over the years and are used by many homeopaths, especially for treatment of acute illness and injuries.

The Banerjis have simply applied 130 years of this kind of thinking to all pathology. That’s four generations of homeopathic knowledge, passed down from fathers to sons. Today, the Banerji Clinic is staffed by medical doctors who are also homeopaths and who use modern technology to diagnose illness.

Perhaps the most striking difference about the Banerji Protocol is the scope of the information they have gathered and the application of computer technology to store and categorize the information.

Remember, each doctor at the Banerji Clinic sees 100 patients per day, and there are 10 doctors. That means that 1,000 patients are seen daily, 6 days per week, for a total of 6,000 per week. In the clinic’s data-collecting rooms, eight computers continually collate and compile all these cases. This is said to be the busiest medical clinic in the world, and the amount of data they have succeeded in gathering is staggering.

From this vast collection of data, they have discovered that certain protocols are successful for 80% of the population. They also have developed secondary and tertiary protocols to cover the additional 20%.

Can any classical homeopath in the U.S. or Europe even come close to that kind of experience andTeaching seminar subsequent data?

In the time I have been using the Banerji Protocols in my own practice, I have seen amazing results, with long-term chronic issues resolved much more quickly than anything I had previously achieved. As far as I’m concerned, data and reproducible results trump speculation.

As for the other concerns raised by your homeopath, while the Banerji Protocols do offer the simplicity of allopathic medicine, in my experience, they do not create “side effects” as drugs do. Remember that homeopathy works with your body to evoke natural healing and restore the body to balance. Drugs create side effects because they work against the body.

And long-term effects? The Banerji family has been studying these protocols for 130 years with no evidence of long-term problems emerging. I have witnessed with my own eyes the throngs of Dr. John Mendelsohn, chief of the UT MDACCpatients (including the President and First Lady of India and the Queen of Bouton) who enter the research center and clinic seeking (and finding!) relief from all types of illness. I find it hard to believe that these people would be waiting in line for hours to attend a clinic if that clinic did not produce results.

If we want to put homeopathy on the map, we need to concentrate on sharing the hard, cold facts. Is the patient improved? Is the improvement sustained and are the results reproducible? This is what will help homeopathy achieve the status it once knew.

I hope your homeopath will do some research into the Banerji Protocols. He might find that his results could skyrocket!

I am a homeopath with a worldwide practice working with families and individuals via Zoom. I'm also a teacher and most importantly, a mom who raised my now-adult children depending on homeopathy over the last 31 years. I lived decades of my life with food intolerances, allergies, and chemical sensitivities until I was cured with homeopathy, so I understand pain, anxiety, and suffering. You may feel that your issues are more severe or different than anyone else’s, but I have seen it all in my practice and in my work in India. My opinion is that nothing has come close to the reproducible, safe and effective results that my clients, students and I have achieved with homeopathy.

Call today and learn how homeopathy might just be the missing piece in your health strategy.

    Hi there, Joette,

I enjoyed the article a great deal. I know some people who study homeopathy who tend to start with the higher doses (200C, 1M, 10M, etc.) but I prefer to start around 30C and let the remedy tell me if the potency needs to be higher. The pairing of potencies (a 6C with a 200C) is something I never thought about before. I’ll be trying the protocol with some family members very soon.

    Hi Joette!
I think this is great not to have to take the long cases. My problem is trying to get the regular Dr. to open their minds a little. My son broke his arm 2 wks ago. I started w/ Arnica of course, and am giving him Symphytum 1 x a day. We had a 2nd xray yesterday and the Dr said it doesn’t seem to be broke the whole way thru, like we originally thought. There seems to be some attachment at the one side. I told Him that I’ve been giving him a homeopathic remedy Symphytum. He just laughed and said that it was like that and he couldn’t see it in the 1st xray. Well, that made my son, who is already a skeptic even more so, even though it has saved us many trips to the Dr. for illness’s. Thank goodness he still opens his mouth when I pop them in…..So, I’ll settle for that for now, but it just frustrates me that everyone around me are skeptics….I guess I don’t explain the whole subject very well……He will have 4 xrays until this is all said and done. I am concerned about all of the radiation!!!!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I’ve learned its best to not try to convert the doctors. They simply won’t do it. Its in their DNA to have an aversion to competition.

  4. TrulyJen says:

I believe there are homeopathic remedies to detox from x-rays, right?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Yes. Some use xray 30 while others depend on Nat mur 6x or Clac fluor 12x.

  5. Barbara says:

    Dear Joette,
It is entirely possible that I do not understand the question posed above. I’ve not encountered previously the claim that “this form of homeopathy [the Banerji protocol] is more like allopathic medicine and can have unwanted side effects that may show years later or even just create energetic disharmony within the person.” Is it not true that classical homeopaths will seek a simillimum for chronic pathology but will also use acute remedies when needed (as long as the acute Rx is not inimical to the chronic Rx)? And also that there exists the potential for many homeopathic remedies to cause “side effects” (e.g., aggravation, suppression, etc.) when the selection and/or dosage is incorrect?
It seems to me that this question/claim relates more to the issue of posology than the use of more than one remedy at a time. If I understand correctly that the Banerjis have developed a system of treatment based on diagnosis that is similar to allopathic medicine, their philosophy is offensive to classical homeopaths.
So, my question is this: is it not possible to provide the desired results for any patient (cure, or amelioration) based on both their disease/diagnosis and constitution? In other words, is a synthesis possible, or must the homeopath choose one “philosophy” over another? It seems to me that homeopathy is both subtle and elegant, and that flexibility of choice is one of the hallmarks of grace in this practice of medicine.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Once you learn the Banerji Protocols, you ask yourself why you’d bother taking a classical case. If the method works, no need to go further. Instead, get on to the next person’s needs. As a classical homeopath myself for 28 years, having taught the 1st credit bearing course in New York State, living the life, talking the talk, I can tell you that this method is far more efficient and most importantly, reproducible.

It is indeed more like allopathy in that we can use the pathology name instead of generals, modalities and specifics but it stops there. Classical homeopaths should not be offended…they should be delighted. If classical homeopaths are honest, they’ll admit that they use protocols every day. They just don’t share them with the public.
Ask anyone of them what the protocol is for a breach birth. Ask them what they use for an injury. Protocol, protocol, protocol. The Banerjis have just taken it to such a high level that the classicals can’t image it could be that easy. it is.

Why certainly its valuable to have classical experience for when differentials are needed, but until that time, 80% of the population responds favorably to the 1st protocol. GORGEOUS!

      1. Saskia says:

“Once you learn the Banergi Protocols, you ask yourself why you would bother taking a classical case.” “we can use the pathology name instead of generals, modalities and specifics.”

This leaves me feeling stuck and less hopeful. I’m pretty sure my diagnosis of fibromyalgia was a default name so I could be treated by the allopathic insurance system. I do have some typical fibro symptoms (hyper-reactivity and hyper-sensitivity, for example.) But in 30 years, the syndrome has been very transient, moving from one part of my body to another and has presented in several forms.

It may be a legacy of herpes zoster virus or even of Roseola. Currently, part of it fits a subcategory of achalasia, type III, but in addition to my esophagus, it also involves my throat and rectum, which fall outside the scope of achalasia.

I also have an unstable spine which began occurring around the same time as the throat symptoms which were the first in the alimentary canal problem.

And I have long-standing chemical sensitivities probably from ether as anaestesia for a tonsilectomy (age 5) .

I have seen an allopathic specialist for the original swallowing problem, but was not diagnosed. Based on my subjective experience and 30 years of adjusting to an ever-changing physical landscape of muscular problems, and my Nursing knowledge base, I’m pretty sure it is the same disease, which may or may not be “fibromyalgia.”

Before I found you, Joette, and the Banerji protocols, I was exploring on the ABChomeopathy site. I found a remedy which, when I read about it, described it’s mechanism as working in the spine to regulate the body’s functions. That felt like it fit, because peristalsis seems to be spastic, that is, erratic, my swallowing function also is erratic and the problem includes 3 locales in the alimentary canal. I then began looking for an experienced homeopath because I felt out of my league in self-medicating. That brought me here and to the Banerji Protocols which I now own and have been reading. I see an achalasia protocol, but as I mentioned, my symptoms are not limited to achalasia. And there is no protocol listed for herpes-or-varicella zoster. (Not that I am sure that is the basis for the syndrome.)

If this has been too much info, I apologize. It’s, an effort to illustrate my question about whether the complexity of my problem (or problems) makes it unlikely that Banerji Protocols could be helpful. How does Banerji process syndromes when the diagnosis is only partial? Thank you!

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

The case is not as complex as you think. Use the medicine for the condition that’s presenting instead of the potential cause. Dig about as to the potential etiology only if the most obvious concern can’t be aided with the chosen medicine.
These questions are best answered by diving a little deeper and joining a Gateway to Homeopathy Study Group. It’s there that you’ll learn how to decipher what is important and what isn’t.

      2. H says:

        Hi Joette,
Can you state each of the 3 Banerji Protocols and the potencies and for all and when each protocol applies and what population it is indicative of?
Like for example: For healthy vs non-healthy vs hypersensitives to remedies so remedies/potency must be chosen carefully as such are more sensitive.

For example you said the 1st protocol applies to 80% of the population as it works well for them.

Can you elaborate and be specific about the potencies that are used for each population of each of the 3 protocols and how to apply them for that specific population for which the protocol is called for. Not everyone can do the 1st protocol as you have pointed out.

Thank You Joette I look forward to your reply

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

You might want to purchase the book ” The Banerji Protocols” where it’s fleshed out.
Then join one of my Gateway to Homeopathy study groups.

          1. Lorene says:

I also have that question because the Banerji Protocol book is quite vague about when to use the protocols and also how to dose. Do you cover this question in your blog or other areas?

          2. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

I teach how to use them in my online study groups called “Gateway to Homeopathy” found here: https://studygroups.joettecalabrese.com/
Also in my online courses, found here https://courses.joettecalabrese.com/

Read and re-read the Banerji Protocol book, especially the intro, etc. It’s really not very vague.

          3. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

I just noted that you’re wondering “how to dose”. I believe what you mean is how many pills comprise a dose. The answer is printed on the side of the bottle. If the manufacturing pharmacy indicates that 5 pills equal a dose, that’s the dose needed to get results from that pharmacy’s product.

  6. Bernadette says:

Interesting questions Barbara! I look forward to reading Joette’s answer. It seems to me that what Joette has been saying over and over though, is that CERTAINLY it is possible to get positive results using the classical constitutional method, but there is a lot more potential for failure, or for having it take a long time, since there are so many possible remedies to choose from that one might have to go through many incorrect remedies before landing on the correct one.

It seems to me that what Joette is saying is that after many years of getting GOOD results, or even VERY GOOD results using the classical methods, she is now pleased to be seeing EXCELLENT results using the Banerji method. And that these excellent results are being achieved faster.

One can’t really argue with clear results, especially when suffering individuals are a part of the picture. Philosophy and theory are all well and good, but when one is in pain, or being driven crazy by itching, generally it is clear and obvious results that one really cares about, the faster the better.

So I don’t believe that Joette has ever said that the classical method is “wrong” or that one has to choose one method or the other. But reading Joette’s writing over the years, it has always been obvious to me that she is pretty practical and results-focussed. I am happy that she is willing to share with the public the methods that she sees achieving the best results, rather than keeping them secret and mysterious in order to make herself look better or to avoid controversy.

  7. Amelia says:

    Hi Joette
I live in India and had never heard of the Banerjee protocols .Thank you for educating me .Have you heard of Homeopath Praful Vijayakar ?He uses embryonic origin of the tissue affected as the basis for prescribing .I am not a homeopath I am a dentist and I find Homeopathy fascinating but extremely subjective and complicated .what percentage of cases fail to respond to homeopathy in your experience ?

    Thanks and Regards
    Amelia

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Your point regarding subjectivity is precisely why I am a proponent of the Banerji Protocol. I’ve found that moving from classical to this practical method has increased my results substantially. I haven’t measured it, but I’d estimate by about 40%. Equally as important are the results that my students and readers of this blog are enjoying by employing this method. The complexity is removed by addressing not what is perceived by the practitioner, but by the application of a subjective method with reproducible results simply because it is pathology specific. For example, as a dentist you’d be benefited by knowing that pain after extraction is met by Hypericum and Arnica. This is specific to the procedure and not complicated nor subjective.

I’m not familiar with Dr. Vijayakar.

      1. Amelia says:

Thanks Joette.I suffered from severe menopausal symptoms hot flushes insommnia anxiety, mood swings severe vertigoand fatigue .I went to a homeopath first( he said he followed Dr Vijaykars method)what he gave me didn’t help me at all and he refused to tell me what it was .I know that in allopathy there isn’t much to help at menopause but I needed some relief so I started on HRT .It helped me a little .That was 4 years ago.Now I am much better but I still get some vertigo espechially after I wake up and when Iam stressed .Do you think there is something in homeopathy that will help me?

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Yes, I believe homeopathy has something to offer you and shame on the homeopath who won’t share his information. Should you be interested in speaking, feel free to contact my office and my assistant will set up a 15 minute time for us to speak.

          1. Rebekah says:

I also had a homeopath who wouldn’t tell what remedies were prescribed.

          2. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

            Bad form.

  8. Sharon says:

    Hello Joette,
I have seen your info on eczema but I can’t fine the dose (6c, 30c 200c etc??)and timing of dosing for Arsenicum, bovista, etc. Your skinderella sheet states antimonium crud 200 mixed with Arsenicum 200; how do you do the mixing? I don’t know if my eczema is a food issue but I have been gluten, dairy, soy free and organic for over 10 years. Recently started GAPS (2 months ago) with very little improvement in rash. Also do you put the pellets in water and take that way or sublingual? Also, started Sepia 1M for melasma (too high a dose? All I had in the house) Thank you sincerely for any help!!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Chronic conditions can indeed be treated by families but it requires more explanation than something I can offer in this forum. You might check my blog for some of your answers by using the search bar on the blog. If this doesn’t help you, you might want to consider my on line courses that offer the full method.

You may also schedule a free call with me to see if this is a fit for you.

    2. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Sharon, These are all good questions. The dosages, frequencies, mixing of remedies and sourcing are what I teach in my classes, unless you can find them specifically on this blog. Homeopathy is medicine and it is sometimes quite easy to apply, while if the issue is layered, it can take time to get the hang of using it.

This is why I’m careful to offer on this blog, only information that is specific to simpler conditions. Food intolerance and its offshoots such as skin conditions is a complex situation that homeopathy is capable of resolving, but it requires study. That is why I have designed classes specific to teaching it.

In my experience, when someone is on a special diet, such as GAPs that means they’ve indeed noted that there is a gut problem and from there we can usually deduce that what ever else occurs must be considered related. After all, it is the same organism. Now that must be treated as part of the skin condition.

With regards to using Sepia in 1M, the information I offer on remedy protocols is specific. If you hope to experience reproducable results, I urge you to use the exact protocols. Too low a potency, it may not act. Too high and it could cause a proving, particularly given the frequency.

    3. Linda says:

i noted that you have considered your diet as culprit and would encourage you to look at the whole food plant based diet and do a search at drmcdougall.com under the education tab. I had hepatitis since my military vaccines in 1970 and had chronic diarrhea for over two months when my liver became inflamed in 2016. Many remedies would help for a few days but the cause of the problem remained so no remedy could change the condition permanently. I was treated by the VA and things are better and I take remedies to heal the liver.

  9. Severine says:

Quick question: as Sharon mentions above, your Skinderella PDF says the protocol for eczema is Antimonium Crud 200 mixed with Arsenicum 200, But I have seen it mentioned before that another protocol for eczema is Hepar Sulph 200 mixed with Arsenicum 200. Which one is better for standard eczema?

And if there is cracking, can we add petroleum to the mix?
    Thank you!
I want to try to help a friend with eczema and want to know what protocol to suggest.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

The question is quick, but the answer is too lengthy to offer on this forum. I cover these exact questions (called differentials) in length in my course called Skin; The Ugly Truth. Should you be interested in learning more, feel free to contact my office.

      1. Severine says:

I would love to know more and am very interested in the course, especially if you are looking at offering it as an pre-recorded, self-paced course!
But in the meantime, would I potentially be doing any harm if I mixed all 3 remedies (Arsenicum 200, Hepar Sulph 200, & Antimonium Crud 30 (I don’t have 200 for that one)) and told her to take them once a day for 2 months like the protocol suggests? Thank you!

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

If you want reproducible results that can be expected with a particular protocol it would behoove you to stay true to the method. THat is, adhere to the potency, frequency and combination of remedies. I can guarantee that the Drs. Banerji have fine tuned the method over the last 130 years past the tinkerings of the inexperienced.

          1. Severine says:

Ok, thank you for your input.

  10. Protocols are experience-specific to practitioners Each one can borrow/lend these and try We always try as others do But these must be empirically proven

    1. susan says:

i have a genetic illness for which there is no cure. i have distressing symptoms
i am also taking a drug that causes side effects that i have been unable to get off of. is there any help?

      1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

        Help with what condition?

  11. Reed says:

I agree that all classical homeopaths have prescribed Arnica after injury, or Belladonna for throbbing head pain, or Arsenicum for food poisoning, or Apis for bee stings, etc., and thus have followed a protocol that is not strictly classical. They all have done it, and they will do it, again. It seems to me that far too many homeopaths are too willing to criticize each other for “not doing it their way.”

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

You said it! I find that many classical homeopaths are more closed minded than conventionally trained MD’s.

  12. What if a Banjeri protocol feels too strong? Would it be wrong to go to a lower dose such as 30c instead of 200 c? I’m very sensitive to all meds.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Homeopathics are not meds and even the most sensitive people are aided by these protocols.

You may take any potency you like but if you hope to experience the kind of results that they/I have come to expect, its best to stay with the exact protocols.

  13. Not only do I want the same results, I need them.
The Banjeris were kind enough to send a protocol. I had problems with the first one, so they revised it. It is a combo of Aurum Met/Ignatia. I’m sure you already know that. You know how they roll.
It seems that whenever I take a 200c dose of either I feel an increase of anxiety and my ears buzz. I wonder if it is due to still being on allopathic meds?
My system feels over stimulated. I feel this way whenever I take SSRI medications. Maybe what I am feeling is “all in my head.” Sigh. I’ve been warned that there could be permenant damage caused by proving the remedy. I thought that at the very worst they could be antidoted.
Anyway, unsure of this I’ve ordered 30c potencies to try. I was thinking that I could move gradually. I guess I’m afraid. 🙁

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Sounds like Someone is trying to scare you.

      1. Well, they’ve succeeded. It doesn’t take much. I’m not proud of that.
I wish I was brave like YOU.
I won’t go into what happened when I mentioned the protocol to an N.D. It hurt my heart.
I’ve been warned multiple times that taking doses of 200c more than once will result in an “overdose” that can’t be reversed. Is that true?
I’m not trying to hurt anyone. My family is devastated as it is. I’ve spent every day for nearly two years searching for a way to get well. I came to homeopathy because I do not react well to traditional medications. I didn’t know there are dangers with remedies, too.
Other than some irritation I didn’t benefit from the first dose of Aurum Met 200. I don’t know why. I’ve been told there are thousands more that I know nothing about. I’m sure that is true. I don’t have the resources to find out. People keep telling me it’ll take years.
On the forum they’ve recommended something else. So far…nothing. I’ve got another 17 days to wait.
I spent the weekend vomiting with a massive menstrual migraine because we are now afraid to combine the remedies in the home kit we purchased.
I’ve always been a little fearful but I used to be calm and collected. My poor husband. I think this is driving us both insane.

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

The advice/warnings you’re receiving is applicable when using classical homeopathy. And yes, it can take decades to master, often resulting in less than happy results. I studied, used it for my family and in my practice for over 30 years. Now I use/teach what I call “practical homeopathy” and I teach others how to treat themselves by using specific protocols based mostly on the works of Drs. Prasanta and Pratip Banerji.
I urge you to spend more time on my blog where I explain further and read what others have accomplished using this kind of homeopathy.
Combining medicines, as long as they are employing specific protocols is what this method is all about. No worries. Practical homeopathy/Banerji Protocol is much easier, hence more satisfying than the one that warns families that they’re too ignorant to take care of themselves. Nothing could be further from the truth.
My calling is to dispel that antiquated way of approaching family health.

  14. Thank you for explaining further. I understand the difference now. That explains why a few people have gotten upset with me.
And I hear you saying “practical homeopathy” is yielding much better results. I believe you.
I meant that I’ve been told it might take a year or more to find the remedy for depression/anxiety. That is very disheartening. But that came from the classical approach. The fly in the ointment is that I’m in the middle of “the change” and that kind of muddies the waters.
Obviously homeopathy takes a very long time to learn and master. I’m going to buy your book today for family cures. I believe it will help us greatly. We’ll overcome our fears.
I have and do continue to spend time on this blog. I listen to podcasts, etc. I only wish my brain was not so mushy. It makes it a little hard to retain things.
A question. What if a protocol, like the one I’ve been prescribed, fails. What happens next. Does a person then have to return to the more classic style or do they just have to try a different remedy?
I see in acute cases that is what is taught. What about chronic cases?
I’m asking you because you already know what I’m hearing from the classical point of view.
You are doing well in your calling. I hope that I can get better so that I can do well in mine.

  15. sunil manik says:

I read all of the above. I could not get a clear idea as to what is “banerji protocol”. Also, how do you mix remedies. Taking one after the other will not do the trick?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Mixing can be done by taking one immediately after the other while the 1st is still in the mouth.

  16. Sandy says:

My friend had a really bad flair up of eczema on her hands this winter. She was given petroleum by her extremely experienced friend who runs schools teaching homeopathy. She had only a small, short lived result if at all. When she went back for a follow up weeks later, he absolutely would not let her have another dose or any other remedy. Her pain was so great, that she was willing to let me help her with my course data that I learned from you, using Banerji protocols. I selected the same remedy, but probably in a higher dose. Her relief was instant. The hands started to get less red as we sat there, she immediately felt back to her own extroverted personality, and the pain went from a 10 to a 3 in a few short hours, down to a zero by the next morning. I gave petroleum in a 200 potency dosing per the course. We don’t know what potency he gave her. We are both thrilled and amazed that we could get these kind of results simply from my studying one of your courses and following your blogs which teach the Banerj techniques. Who knows if the eczema would have cleared up with the one dose that he gave, eventually. But when you have someone in that much pain, how are they going to suffer through to find out? We are so excited to be able to do this. Thank you so much Joette!!! You recognized the good help and brought it to us.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Now THIS is the kind of information I want folks to have. ‘See why I abandoned classical homeopathy?

      1. Lena says:

Joette, would you please say something about potencies regarding safety, suppression, etc? Many people seem to be afraid of the 200c. In working with my own chronics, I have found that 200s barely scratch the surface and I have to go to a 1m or 10m just to get a reaction. My first book on homeopathy was Ton Jansen’s Homeopathic Detox Protocol, where he encourages practitioners to have no fear of high potencies in repeated doses (such as a 10m twice a week).

I don’t think I would be getting anywhere if I was afraid of high potencies.

Honestly, do you think that people are taking wild risks with their health if they administer a 1m or 10m and see great improvement? How critical is the concept of the “minimum dose”?

I have seen very positive responses in myself to Nat mur 10m, while Nat mur 200 does NOTHING.

Had I only taken the 200, I would have despaired of it being the right remedy.

So, just how fearful should we be of high potencies, of suppression, of creating an “irreversible overdose”, as someone else asked, but was not answered?

If we are going to take responsibility for our own health, we need answers to questions like these.

What is the lesser of two evils, the risk associated with high potency homeopathy, or just giving up and popping an Advil?

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

Are you sure you’re following Joette Calabrese? You seem to be confused about what I teach.
Indeed, I’m delighted that you have good results with high potencies.
I’m delighted when I do too!

          And who’s Anna?

  17. Anna says:

What kind of research have the Banerji’s done or you done to know with certainty that the protocols aren’t just masking the symptoms or pushing them in further only to affect another are of their health in a worse way (just like conventional medicines do)? I’m just curious as to how much research has been done for not just short but long term as well knowing with certainty that no future illness was due to perhaps the homeopathic protocol taken months/years prior? How certain can we be this is just as safe as classical in that way and not like conventional medicine? Thank you.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Check out our list of articles on this site called “Membership”. Also Check out their site. I’d say 150 years of their collected data would just about do it, don’t you agree?
Cured cancer is cured cancer. End of discussion. THe same for RA, allergies, tuberculosis, hepatitis, chronic malaria, leprosy.

      1. Anna says:

Thank you for your reply! Yes, I have never doubted the effectiveness of them and that they work–curing cancer, allergies, tuberculosis, etc. Do you know then if their collected data of 150 years if they were also keeping notes/checking if patients would return with an illness elsewhere and if they studied or knew it had nothing to do with the previous protocol maybe pushing it there?? I just want to be sure I can trust in this “practical” kind as I’ve also been told by a “classical homeopath” that it works as western medicine and months/years later you know have a bowel problem, etc, etc and it was due to a protocol being taken for an extended time.

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Keep notes? You mean like your classical homeopath?
          Not exactly.
The reason I sound incredulous is that these are medical doctors, with charts, MRI reports, lab panels, the entire 2nd floor is comprised of computers with junior doctors inputting the data, collating and collecting.
Yet there’s no reason for them to assume that your poor little homeopath friend’s theory is valid. How do we know his method is not suppressing? Does HE have a staff to call people up 1,3, 30 years later to see if they’ve been suppressed? Ridiculous. And if he’s willing to put his staff where his mouth is, how does he know its from suppression?
Professional envy is a terrible thing. And that, my friend, is what you’re witnessing.

          1. Laura says:

Outstanding reply, Joette! I laughed out loud! 🤣

          2. Lena says:

You never answered Anna’s question. You report that the Banerjis have a large staff and have collated lots of data, but have they used that data to check whether their treatments have created chronic health problems for their patients?

Honestly, I have not been afraid to experiment with high potencies on myself. But am I being naive?

If high potencies are risky, if there’s no room for trial and error, especially for someone who doesn’t have thousands of dollars to pay out of pocket for supporting advice, then we basically have to fall back on naturopathy and functional medicine, since: 1. Allopathic medicine doesn’t work, 2. Taking a single dose of 30c and waiting months to see what happens doesn’t work. Certainly not in my case.

I suspect that modern people don’t respond to lower potencies like people did 200 years ago because of our more “toxic” modern environment, but that is purely speculation.

And frankly, at the risk of sounding insensitive, which is the farthest thing from my intention, what are we to make of the fact that Pratip Banerji passed in his mid 50s? Is that a result of illnesses that were suppressed in his childhood by homeopathy, or unforeseen side effects of an imperfectly matched remedy? I would certainly like to believe not, but surely there must be a way to put these concerns to bed that is more definitive than saying “the Banerji clinic has been around for 130 years”. Yeah, allopathic medicine has been around a lot longer than that, and look at what it has done!

So, it would be very helpful to hear a direct answer to Anna’s question.

I am sincerely begging for some greater clarity on this issue.

And no, I do not want to make anyone afraid of homeopathy. I want to dispel fears more conclusively so that hopefully we can all approach homeopathy with greater confidence.

And if the answer to Anna’s question is, Well, we truly don’t know, proceed at your own risk, then at least we are aware that we are taking a bit of a gamble and we can choose whether we want to side with the unknown risks of high potency homeopathy over the certain (and terrifying) risks of allopathic medicine.

          3. Edina says:

Wow, good questions. I was also wondering how dr. Pratip passed so young…
I doubt that any classical homeopath keeps records and follows patients for years and decades to see if their prescription will result in a future disease. Also, since different homeopaths often prescribe contradictory remedies,(just read some of abchomeopathy, and you’ll be properly confused)based on how they evaluate the same patient, even with their software, who is right? You might as well stick to a fixed protocol that is consistent.
And thinking of long term effects of homeopathic treatments, based on the theory that after 12c, there is no trace of the original substance, only the molecular imprint, which acts like a keyhole to only the correct pathogen or antigen, whatever, as I understand, higher potencies could not result in toxicity. Although aggravations and provings still occur if the remedy is incorrect or wrong potency, or used too long, so…. does it have to do with triggering too many antibodies at once, or the opposite, my beginner brain is still trying to understand the how’s and why’s.

  18. Mary says:

I had a bad fall 5 years ago, landing on my face…forehead swollen for about a month. Wondering if Banerji protocol would help the discomfort I still have in my head and neck since it has been 5 years ago?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I can’t tell you with certainty if a particular medicine will work for you, but I post this info. with the idea that you will learn how to use homeopathy for your and your family’s use.

  19. Angie says:

I found your website while looking for a Banerji Protocol for bursitis. A 90 year old friend of mine in general good health had a clot a couple of years back and was put in blood thinners since then. As a side effect she got generalized bursitis sometime later, all joints, but particularly hips, shoulder and wrists. Is there a Banerji protocol for this? Or any suggestions? TIA

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

If you google my name and bursitis, tendonitis or arthritis, you’ll likely find the methods you’re looking for.

  20. Angie says:

Thanks, but I couldn’t find anything specific fot bursitis… Maybe Rhus Tox 30 mixed with Symphytum Officinale 200?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

      Good choice.

  21. varaprada says:

Hi mam m a homoeopath in india I want to buy benerji protocols book how can I buy this

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

      Its on Amazon.

      1. Mary Herman says:

I bought my Banerji Protocol book from Dana Ullman’s site online. He highly recommends this book. He explains that although the book is expensive it is well worth it, and the extra cost helps fund the clinic in India. Understanding the cost helped me decide to buy it, knowing I would be helping the clinic.

      2. Mary Herman says:

What potency of Arnica would you use for an old head injury?

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

There’s no specific protocol, but nothing lower than 200C.

          1. Mary Herman says:

Thank you Joette. Would the same hold true if there was also whiplash…Arnica 200?

          2. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Whip lash is more likely addressed by Rhus tox.

  22. marita says:

Dear Joette, why don´t you give us (classical homeopaths) a live seminar? In Europe or in US?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Thanks for asking. There are many classical homeos in my on line classes (some of which are live before going to recording). Feel free to join in as I relish the classical perspective in the Q and A. This method is the perfect fit for those of us who’ve spent a lifetime of commitment to the classical method.

  23. marita says:

Thank you, Joette! But what I prefer is just protocols and protocols, not so many stories. You see, being very busy I don´t have time to go through all the discussions. Actually I recenly attended Banerji seminar in London and I have the book also. It was very inspiring. All the homeopaths present were so very excited and eager to know much more, but it was not possible.
So, how about to give an online seminar just about protocols, and no stories 🙂

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

You just described the way I present my courses.

But should that not interest you simply scan down to the bottom of my blogs where you’ll find our remedy card that is protocols only.

    2. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I might add, however, that these are not usually stories but cases and one of the best ways to study homeopathy are via case work.

  24. Marita Leppänen says:

Ok, it is true, yes, Thank you Joette!

  25. Dana Tavares says:

I understand that if new symptoms arise while taking a remedy, and the new symptoms are listed in the keynotes for that remedy, it is likely there is a proving happening and a new, more appropriate remedy, should be chosen.
My question is two fold; 1) what if the new symptoms have happened before and you simply do not remember. Could this then be the body working the issue outward? and 2) if the new symptom is tolerable and there is ongoing benefit from this remedy in a chronic case, would it then be worth continuing, or should a more appropriate remedy be chosen? Thank you for your insights.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

      1) I can’t imagine that a suffering that presents from the past is not remembered. 2) If there’s a net gain and new symptoms are insignificant, I would continue and consider the medicine well chosen. Always, of course, with an eye on it.

  26. Valita Stabler says:

Hello there, please help! I’m trying to follow a Banerji protocol but I can’t seem to find potency information for the 0 (zero with a line through it). What is this potency? I thought maybe it referred to a liquid dilution, not sure?

    Thanks for any help!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

      It means mother tincture.

  27. Shakhnoza says:

Won’t long term taking cause proving?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Yes, if its not needed. If it is needed and followed properly, it acts.

  28. dawn says:

does the banerji protocols book contain a protocol for parkinsons?

  29. dawnlilacs says:

i had also heard similar things about Dr. Parimal Banerji homeopathic protocols. Dr. Parimal Banerji (elder) and Dr. Prasanta are sons of Dr. Pareshnath Banerji. Can u plz throw some light towards Dr. Parimal Banerji’s advanced homeopathic protocols? Both doctors set up different clinics in Kolkata.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I know nothing about Dr. Parmal Banerji.

  30. tuneer says:

can Thiosinomin help heal hypertrophic scar in my lower back?
    plz clarify

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Its action is on scarring regardless of its location.

  31. tuneer says:

my hypertrophic scar in my lower back is also inflamed, will Thiosinomin takes care of the inflammation too?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Thiosinominum does not cover inflammation of infection or edema.

  32. Aileen says:

HI Joette Calabrese! In your many years of experience, have you ever heard of Homeopathy (whether classical or the Banerji Protocols) ever helping (to straighten) a puppy’s tail that was born with a kink in it? Thank you for any response!

  33. Isha says:

You are extremely good Joette, have read your posts over the past few years. Does Banerji protocol have anything for glaucoma? Have any protocols succeeded in traditional clinical testing?

  34. Santa Pradhan says:

    Hi Joette,

I am taking this opportunity to get your valuable advice on whether Progressive Systemic Sclerosis in advanced stage can be cured by Homoeopathy.
A young woman of about 30 years is suffering and is under allopathic treatment for over 10 years now.
    Thanking you in advance.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I would not suggest that this or that would/could be cured using homeopathy. Which takes me to the next level of thought and that is, any illness is worth approaching.

  35. Angela says:

Love this! Through their website they have graciously responded with a protocol to my relatively minor but seven in number grievances. They have “prescribed “ 5 remedies to be taken as little as every other day to as frequent as 3 times a day, all of them for two months. 1) should/could all of these be started immediately or should I take one remedy for a two month period and assess the results 2) should all the remedies be taken for the full two months or stopped once an improvement is seen to start the body continue to heal on its own per classical practice 3) I’m nursing presently and the complaints are quite minor and I have had them for years (occasional neck/back pain, minor skin issues, stress incontinence, teeth grinding at night). Should I start right away as better health is best health or should I wait to avoid whatever detox effects may occur that may aggravate the baby?
    Bless you and your work!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I discourage folks from contacting the Banerji Clinic unless they have cancer or they’re poverty stricken. The clinic can handle only so many requests for help. Instead, I urge those in need of homeopathy to learn how to use it themselves. This is why I teach on my blog and podcasts for free and offer courses for when more in-depth information is needed.

      1. Angela says:

Thank you, it did seem odd about how quick they were to get back to me for such little things. Just speaks completely to their generosity. Also, I assume/hope it would be a student of theirs actually doing the correspondence. I did purchase their book which I believe helps fund their cause and I will be looking to donate more if their remedies recommended for my son solve his issues.
You’re site and your energy is an absolute inspiration! Thank you.

  36. Sarah says:

Hi Joette, I would love your opinion on if there is any benefit for someone who is diagnosed with progressive Supra nuclear palsy to use the Bangeri protocol. Thank you

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

The Banerji protocols are a wrap.

      1. Sarah says:

I’m not sure I understand what you mean.

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I mean I wouldn’t question whether their methods will act. There are, of course, no guarantees but their successes are world renowned.

  37. S. RICHARD RAJ says:

    My most revered Dr.
I am an avid reader of your blogs. The physician’s duty is to heal or at least alleviate symptoms of illness irrespective of the system of medicine one belongs to. Our system is a gentle one which even today stands very tall in the face of debilitating onslaughts from advocates of other systems and the so called classical homeopaths in our own fold. Your justification of Banerji protocol citing the enormous amount of research that has gone into formulating the protocols by the Banerjis stands testimony to the fact that experience teaches and it never ditches the learner ! In my own practice of homeopathy in a small circle (I don’t charge anything for dispensing homeo medicines and finding smiles on the faces of those I treat), I have found very encouraging results, because I am guided by learned ones like you. Today morning I woke up with a very disturbing feeling something sticking in my throat. I popped Wyethia 200 and 10 minutes later I became completely normal. As you have rightly observed, converting our own ilk (in this case the classical homeopath) will prove futile. Instead, we should strive to convert people who suffer endlessly when they can experiment with homeopathy and reap the benefits rather than being skeptical about the efficacy of homeopathy. In this direction, you tirelessly walk believing in what you advocate is right and good. May God bless you in your efforts to heal with our gentle system of medicine.

  38. Sheri Youngquist says:

Hello Joette! I have immersed myself in your website and FB page for the past few months. We are seeing some nice results in our family, and I hope to soon join your Gateway class. Currently I’m looking for a practical protocol for my friend diagnosed with Glaucoma. A search on your website has yielded no results. But maybe I should be searching for symptoms instead?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

In general, the subjects that I write about on my blog and in articles, are those that can usually be approached with a simple protocol or so. Glaucoma doesn’t fall into that category. Should your friend be interested, I work with folks one on one.

  39. Felicia says:

What I wonder about the Banerji protocols is the dosing. For ex.:for plantar fasciitis, Rhus Tox 30 and Symphytum 200, twice per day together.
Twice a day for a 200ch really seems like a lot, especially for someone sensitive.
Your thoughts? I am doing this now and I plan to take a lot less of the Symphytum and monitor how it makes me feel before taking more.

    1. Kimberly says:

You’re thinking classically Felicia. It takes some time to wrap your head around a different way of approaching remedies. When 2 or more remedies are combined, they become a NEW remedy….just like a recipe for anything does. Ingredients by themselves are great, but when you put them together they become a completely different product.

  40. Jan says:

Thank you for all the information, guidance, and care you provide. I have been using homeopathy for almost 30 years on my own so you are a gift! Hoping to take your courses soon or begin consultations for issues I haven’t resolved. May God continue to bless your ministry.

  41. dr sanjay says:

I LOVE BANEJI PROTOCOL I AM GETTING MORE AND MORE RESULT INADVANCE PATHOLOGICAL DISEASE BUT I HAVE A QUERY AS FOR EXA IF CONIUM 3C AND CF 3X AFTER 6 MONTHS FIBROID SIZE REDUCING THAN CAN WE CONTINUE FOR LONG TIME SAME MEDICINE FOR 2 TO 3 YEARS TO GET DESIRE RESULT IF YES THEN ANY CHANCE OF DRUG PROVING AS CLASSICAL HOMEOPATH SAYS

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Classical homeopaths have too much fear of provings. Uncomfortable? Perhaps. Irreversible? V. unlikely. Worth these potential small risks, particularly in advanced pathology? Most certainly.

  42. Kelley says:

If one needs to take more than one protocol how do you go about the dosing?

  43. Rachel says:

    Mrs. Calabrese,

Do the Banerji’s include the remedies in each protocol which are absolutely necessary?

I am confused in principal with their Celiac Protocol. I understand that protocols may need to be layered, but given that gluten allergy is inherently part and parcel of Celiac’s, I am confused that the Celiac’s Protocol doesn’t include Bovista.

Am I to conclude then that the Celiac Protocol is sufficient by itself? That it will, just as it is, simultaneously and beautifully treat the condition AND the allergy at once?

Thank you so incredibly much for your teachings. I have been so blessed by your voluminous work!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I’m afraid your question requires more of a response than what I can offer here on this forum. Should you be interested, you might want to consider my course, Good Gut Bad Gut where I cover this subject along with cases to aid in the understanding.

  44. Dr R S Choudhary says:

Sir I am from India .I have BANERJI protocol book but I not found sciatica and leukorrhea med in BANERJI protocol book so I request to u for this ceases med thanks

  45. I have been using Banerji Protocol for a few years and find it very productive. But some disease that come up in my practice are un available from the protocols. I have requested Dr. Pratip Banerji to make them available, or if they are available from you, Ms. Joette..

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I teach Banerji and other protocols for more complex conditions in my classes and am presently drafting a course specifically designed for practitioners.
I assume you have Dr. Prasanta Banerji’s book.

  46. Anne says:

    Hello,

Thank you for your help – I’m a little confused.

I am trying to follow the Banerji Protocol for alopecia. If the instructions are “Hepar Sulf Calc in liquid, one dose once in a week”, does that imply a particular number of weeks, or just a single dose?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Once in a week means each week until the condition is clear. It can take many months, even years depending on each specific case.

  47. Anne says:

Thank you Joette! That would mean then, that one of the first line remedies (the one taken until the condition resolves) would then continue concurrently with the second line remedy, while the other first line remedy (which is to be taken for 3 months) is discontinued after the 3 months? Is that correct? The condition is long standing.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

They’re not taken concurrently. Once it’s clear that a protocol is of no use either because it was incorrect to start or it no longer has value, the next one is taken up.

  48. SONIA says:

    Hello,
I have the Banerji protocol books and want to try the protocol for GERD or acid reflux.
The only confusion that I have is, although it states how often the remedy is supposed to be taken, it does NOT say HOW LONG? a day, a week or more??
How long is one supposed to take the remedy, and, when is one supposed to start with the 2nd line of medicines, if the first one did not help?
I really hope you can help me with this issue please, because the books were not cheap, but nowhere in the book is it written how long one is supposed to take the remedies…

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

This medicine is used for as long as needed. A day, weeks, months. I caution you from opening the book to find the condition you’re interested in. Instead, read the entire book, or take my courses, or at least study my blogs, podcasts and Facebook Lives. If you want good results, you need to understand case management.

  49. Radha says:

    Hello,
    Thanks for the great help.

Can one take more than one of the Banerji’s protocols during the same time?

I mean, can one take the protocol for Acid reflux, and the protocol for parasites and the protocol for problems of the larynx all together, the same day? or, can one only use one protocol at a time, and when one disease is cleared up after a few months, only then does one start with the protocol of the second disease and so on…..?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

More than one may be used in the same schedule.

  50. Sonja says:

If one takes the 1st line of medicines for about 2 months and there is no change and, one wants to start with the 2nd line of medicines, then, can one start with the new protocol right away, or, does one need to slowly decrease the 1st line remedies over a few days/weeks first, before starting the 2nd line? also, is it necessary to give the antidote Camphor 200 every time one changes a new protocol or medicine? thank you

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

1st, make certain there is absolutely no improvement at all; not even an improvement you might not have expected, before moving on. You must know what you’re looking for.
Any time a medicine proves to be of no value, it’s simply halted.

  51. Sonja says:

Thanks a lot Joette for the reply. so, even though the medicine was taken for 2 months 2D, it is simply stopped and the new medicine is started? there won’t be any side effects or something like that, of the abrupt stop?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

We don’t observe side effects from homeopathic medicines.

  52. Sonja says:

The Banerji protocol for Acid reflux is Lycopdium200c+Iris Versicolor200c.
I have these medicines in liquid form but separate. Can I mix both of these medicines together in a bit of distilled water, OR, does that combination has to be mixed by a homeopathic pharmacy only.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

My experience is that whether it’s mixed by a pharmacy or at home, protocols act if well chosen.

  53. Sonja says:

In the Banerji protocol it says to use Iris versicolor in liquid form. Does this always mean that this is either the spray or drops “liquid form” that contains alcohol? or, can I simply use the pellets and dissolve them in pure water to get a liquid form? I am very sensitive to even a small amount of alcohol, so I just wanted to know if dissolving pellets is also ok

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I prefer to use the liquid product directly from the pharmacy (OHM Pharma). Having said this some have reported that making it in water acts.

  54. Sangrita says:

Regarding the Banerji protocols. How much are mental/psychological symptoms taken into consideration. for example. the protocol for acidity in the book is nat phos + arsenicum album 3. after reading up in the materia medica about arsenicum album, according to Boericke, the patient “cannot bear the sight or smell of food” now this, totally contradicts my symptoms, as I am very hungry always and love to eat. My question then. regarding following the Banerji protocols, does one just go for the physical symptoms more, and ignores the mental ones? I am grateful for a reply. thank you

My question then. Do the Banerji’s give more importance to the physical symptoms, and disregard the mental ones? and, if we want to try out a remedy is it ok that mostly only the physical symptoms match?

  56. Susanne says:

When taking the Banerji protocols, in your experience, it is possible having to take these protocols for up to 6 months or even longer (if there is always a steady but slow improvement) or, is this too long a time for the resolution of a long standing chronic problem.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

Some conditions can take quite a long time to resolve.

  57. Khader says:

    Dear Joette

Can I please know where can I find Dr. Banerjee protocols to learn?

Also can you please give the protocol for depression and also how long can we take it….
    Thank you

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

Amazon carries Th Banerji Protocols book. It will be an important addition to your library and the protocol for depression is in it.

  58. Pamela says:

    Hi Joette,

You mentioned OHM Pharma for homeopathic remedies, BUT they only sell to homeopaths, students, or patients of a homeopath! Where are we mothers amd other lay people to find remedies in 200c potencies? Boiron does not carry every remedy —- they don’t even carry remedies for the USA that they do sell in Canada and in Europe.

This is my fear: soon the allopathic medical lobby will see to it that most single remecies are now to be considered “medication”, and will NO longer be available to the public! The fda has already made things difficult for homeopathic etailers. I fear more to come, and it is we, the lay person using homeop remedies, who will ne the loser! Not everyone can afford to pay for a homeopath. That is why I have researched and dabbled with homeopathy for the padt 20 years.

So, where do wr NON professionals go to buy 200c potencies? Amazon sells a few brands, ut aside from Boiron’s limited variety, I am unsure of which other brands to trust.

Thanks for the great info you share!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

If you are a student of mine you may purchase from OHM.They carry the Banerji Protocols. But you may also purchase from Washington Homeopathics in W. Virginia, Helios in England, Hahnemann Pharmacy in CA.

      1. Pamela says:

Thank you! Do you know anything about the homeop company URENUS? *etailer on Amazon* I enquired about a remedy they had listed on Amazon– I wanted to know the maker of the remedy. They did say it was HELIOS. As I had never heard of Urenus, I did not order the remedy. Is Urenus a company you know of/trust?

        1. RUTH COX says:

I have ordered Urenus brand on Amazon myself for some that I needed, with v. good results. Obviously can’t be sure, but that is one anecdote.

  59. Pamela says:

    Hi Joette,

In The Banerji Protocols book, where it lists Second Line Medicines — If there are many remedy “bullet points” listed in that section, do you take ALL of them?

Or are you to choose just one bullet-pointed remedy pairing? I ask because there seem to be many more bullet-point remedies listed in the Second Line (and 3rd line) categories vs how many remedies are listed under the 1st line categories. (I did also just now notice that some 1st Line Med categories also have more than one bullet pointed remedy pairing listed. SO…..I am going to assume then that you are to take everything listed “in the category”. Right?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

I urge you to read the book particularly the beginning that explains how this is done.

  60. Megan Metzler says:

Hello, I am wondering if anyone has read the Additional
Banerji Protocols from the Clinic book? In it on page 60 under skin cancer next to the medicine antimonium crudum 200 C the directions are listed as eAM. Would that read as every alternate month? I’m asking because it’s not listed under the abbreviations. And I’ve never seen it in any other directions in their books listed that way. Or is it a typo that meant to read eAD, every alternate day? I am in need of this protocol and want to make sure it is correct before proceedings. Anyone have any thoughts?

    1. Ann Wells says:

Did you ever get an answer to this question? I am wanting to use the same protocol and I’m not sure what to do.

  61. Edina says:

    Hello!
I’ve been following the banerji protocol for my daughter’s eczema. So far everything we have tried made her condition worse. First we used ant crud 200 and ars arlbum 200. Symptoms worsened in 2 weeks. I didn’t want her to suffer any more, so we took a break and camphora. Then, we tried hepar sulphur 200. Ars. Alb 200, coffee for itching. Worse again, with swollen lymph nodes and staph. So I added psorinum 1m as per the banerji book. After a few days, the rash spread all over her face and neck, with swelling. 1 month later, she looks much much worse a d suffers a lot. Should I even bother with graphite 200? Or sulphur, which is not in the book?
I had high Hope’s for psorinum, but now I’m afraid to use it again. Please advise.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

My advice is that you take a course on how to use these medicines and not carry on at this point.

      1. Edina says:

Thank you. I’d love to, but not in my budget at this time. I was hoping the Banerji protocol book would be enough. I’ll hold off of further protocols for now. Homeopathy is our last resort. So I’ll do some research on these medicines before trying again.

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

Spend time on this blog and watch me on Facebook Live e. Monday night. You’ll get a rather engaging and useful education for free.

  62. Edina says:

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I appreciate it a lot! Yes, I’ve been lurking here for a while, have read many blog posts, podcasts, comments, youtube…purchased the banerji protocol, have been reading various materia medicas online. My friend who took your course recommended this blog and the remedy for eczema. I didn’t just start to treat willy-nilly. First we followed the suggestion here to take ars. Al. With any crud, 200 each, together. Although what confused me, is that this remedy is not included for eczema in the Banerji book, but for scabies. When there was no gain, only worsening, we abandoned it and decided to follow the book. Unfortunately the first line of remedies has caused severe aggravation. Also, I noticed that sometimes Banerjis include the antidote to the remedy. For example, coffea cruda is antidote to psorinum. And arsenicum is antidote to graphite. According to some materia medicas. I understand that they have a 150 years of experience, and that is why I felt confident to give it a shot. Their protocol makes sense. There are so many remedies classical homeopaths recommend, and my daughter doesn’t match either one exactly, matches several somewhat. It’s confusing. I’m hoping the second line of remedies will work, but I’ll wait until things have calmed down.

  63. Edina says:

Another question regarding the remedies. When the Banerji protocol calls for a remedy in liquid, and I only have the pellets, is it equally effective as pellets, or can I dilute one dose in water, or does it have to be alcohol?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

If you hope to observe the kind of results that the Banerji’s and I have, you’re best off purchasing it in liquid.

      1. Edina says:

Thank you. I’ll try my best to find them.
How long does it take for a bad proving to subside? Even after a few camphora 200 doses, and after a month, the skin is still flared. Can we start a new protocol or wait and hope for the body to get through this without help? Also, should we do allergy testing to confirm allergies and intolerances before starting a protocol, or symptoms are enough?

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

I’m so sorry that this happened to you.
What I teach in my online skin course, Skin the Ugly Truth is that when one medicine doesn’t act, we move on to one that is specific to the condition that’s presenting now and ASAP.

          1. Edina says:

Thank you for your reply. I hope I’ll be able to take that class soon. Thank you for sharing so much information outside the classes.

  64. Benny Hamaoui says:

Is there any Banerji Protocol for Keratoconus. I have an eye disease and would really like to get my vision back.

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, PHom M says:

There are indeed homeopathics for this condition, but I don’t offer specific remedy choices for specific conditions in the comment section. If you’re so inclined, A good homeopathic repertory can help point the way. Also, good homeopath is always your best source.
Meanwhile, stay away from food that is made by someone else. Eat loads of wild fish, only animal fats, such as butter, lard, and tallow and strictly stay away from seed oils and vegetable oils. Eat lots of free-range eggs and full-fat dairy such as yogurt and artisan cheese.
      No foods that list ingredients.

  65. Alyssa A says:

    Hi there –

The work you do is so intriguing, I am going to take your course Gateway to Homeopathy soon – I’m very excited!

I used to suffer from Interstitial Cystitis an UTIs a few years back. With diet change I have healed a lot and my IC is manageable.

I got pregnant in January 2023 and had a UTI the same week I found out, I took Cantharis 30 and Meddorihum 200 every couple hours for a few days and the UTI resolved. I have not had a UTI since!

Although – I still have a feeling/sensation of urinary retention, or that my bladder is not completely empty.. more so when i’m standing. When I’m sitting I feel okay.

At the end of pregnancy and more so after I now have incontinence. I started using Causticum 30 three times a day. I feel like I have slight improvement, but I’m not really sure.

I’m wondering if I should continue Causticum for the incontinence but then also bring in either the remedy Staphysagria or Equisetum to address the urinary retention/feeling of unemptiness. It feels like just a drop is left in the uretha.

I’m not sure how long to test out the Causticum 30c, should I give it a couple weeks to see how my body responds? Also, do I wait or add in the other potential remedy along side the current remedy (Caustium 30c) and at what dosage.

    Was thinking of using –

    Causticum 3x a day
Staphysagria 200 once a day or Equisetum

    or

    Causticum 3x a day
Staphysagria or Equisetum 30c, 3x a day as well
    (alternating)

Any recommendation is much appreciated. Thank you!!
