Heartwarming Homeopathy for Angina

Today’s blog comes from the heart.

Angina to be specific.

For those of you unlucky enough to have had angina, you know how concerning it is. Angina (angina pectoris) is the sensation of pain in the chest of varying degrees. The pain can spread to the shoulders and arms, causing an inadequate blood supply to the heart. It is often considered a precursor to a heart attack, and this is especially so if you’ve had a stroke or cardiac event in the past.

Interestingly, heartburn can also feel like angina and visa-versa. A clear-cut diagnosis is important to pinpoint exactly what is going on; once you know, you can apply the proper protocol.

I have some personal experience in dealing with matters of the heart such as this one. Read “My Dad and the Dead Cardiologists” and my podcast entitled, “Shut UP!” to learn homeopathic remedies relating to cardiac conditions.

In addition to what I present in these articles, I want to share a medicine specifically intended for cases of angina that are stubborn and frequent.

Take Howard, my 89-year-old relative who has had a heart condition for years. He’d been taking the Banerji Protocol Lachesis 200 every other day to address his post-stroke palpitations and breathlessness. He was also taking Crataegus, mother tincture, 5 drops twice daily on my recommendation.

But after a recent stroke, he began to suffer from regular angina. As an aside, so mild was the stroke that it confused several cardiologists in two university-setting cardiac wards. Was it really a stroke or something else, they wondered? While he appeared to be having the stroke, he was given Aconitum 200 every few minutes at home and in the ambulance. I believe that was the reason he didn't go into a full CVA.

But because of fear, in spite of his continuous good results from having relied on homeopathy, the doctors convinced him to use their medical wares.

So for several months, Howard took the commonly prescribed angina medication, Nitroglycerine. It rid him of pain for a week or two but then—as is common with drugs of commerce—he began to need a stronger and stronger dose with each passing week to keep the symptoms subdued.

The only recommendation that the cardiologist had was to wear a Nitroglycerine patch all day long. (The assumption being that his blood was Nitroglycerine-deficient?)

This is the exact opposite of homeopathy. Rather than helping, traditional drugs pull the person further and further away from a resolution or cure down a toxic little trail of demise.

Homeopathic medicines, on the other hand, need to be taken with less and less frequency and cause no toxic consequences. They often also soften concomitant symptoms that the person doesn’t necessarily associate with the condition. In Howard’s case, after taking the prescribed drugs, he was weak, sleepless, irritable, sometimes confused, and anxious.

In other words, while dutifully taking the drugs, he subsequently lost quality of life.

And so Howard came back to me.

I so wish he had skipped the unnecessary suffering and reached out to me from the beginning!

I taught him the angina protocol, Cimicifuga 30, taken twice a day.

The evening of the first day (after his second dose), he had absolutely no angina for the first time in over three months and his blood pressure normalized.

He kept a record of his symptoms, and on each day he would email, “NO ANGINA TODAY!” and “Another great day!!!!”

Each day was filled with numerous happy exclamation points.

I wasn’t surprised because I’ve come to expect these kinds of results.

Howard continued the homeopathics twice daily; on the tenth day, he reported that there’d been some minor pain in the chest, but nothing like before, and it brought no concern.

Day 11 and 12 were again excellent days for him.

At some point during that first week of taking Cimicifuga 30, he ceremoniously ripped the Nitroglycerine patch from his shoulder.

It became clear to him that it simply wasn’t helping.

He’d found something better that no cardiologist in the U.S. knows about.

Because he has a history of stroke, he is now on Cimicifuga 30 twice a day, and Lachesis 200 every other day, as well as Crataegus mother tincture twice daily.

His sleep is fully restored.

No more lonely, anxiety-ridden nights. No more weakness during the day filled with impending dread.

This is why I urge you to take heart like Howard did by learning more about this worldwide movement of bringing homeopathy into every home.

Find someone to help in your circle of friends and relatives and watch their lives restore.

Meanwhile, Happy Valentine's Day!

Warmly,

P.S. Consider starting a homeopathy study group so you can treat your family yourself.

I am a homeopath with a worldwide practice working with families and individuals via Zoom. I'm also a teacher and most importantly, a mom who raised my now-adult children depending on homeopathy over the last 31 years. I lived decades of my life with food intolerances, allergies, and chemical sensitivities until I was cured with homeopathy, so I understand pain, anxiety, and suffering. You may feel that your issues are more severe or different than anyone else’s, but I have seen it all in my practice and in my work in India. My opinion is that nothing has come close to the reproducible, safe and effective results that my clients, students and I have achieved with homeopathy.

Call today and learn how homeopathy might just be the missing piece in your health strategy.

Homeopathy doesn't "treat" an illness; it addresses the entire person as a matter of wholeness that is an educational process, not a medical one. Joette believes that the advice and diagnosis of a physician is often in order.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge! Sometimes back I came across a work by a self taught 80+ year old homeopath who lives in Sri Lanka and treats his patients free of charge. He says he is financially self sufficient through his own businesses so he need not charge anybody. The interesting fact is that his use of Arnica 30C is phenomenol! From Angina to baldness he uses this remedy. For this, he had been chided by orthodox homeopaths and named his practise as “Joepathy”. He recommends taking Arnica 30C in wet dose every night for a long time to get rid of many diseases and conditions! Please check out his work if you have the time. And he too admires Father and son Banerji duos. 🙂

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I know about him and am happy that he helps folks. I agree that he has some interesting ideas, but am not convinced of some of them.

      1. Ana Monterroso says:

Have you learned more about him? I heard you mentioned him in some podcasts.

  2. chelibremmer says:

hi Joette! So you would suggest Aconitum directly following a stroke, rather than Arnica?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I’ve used both and so far have noted they both are effective. Aconitum is specific for BP while Arnica for bleeds.

  3. Madame Oso says:

Hello Joette Calabrese! I am an avid follower of your energy and information. Thank you for helping us. This is a very important article also!

I am currently recovering from the flu too and in my desperation ordered some remedies from Amazon. Can you tell me if these are ok made by theses folks? “Homeopathic Product by Paramesh Banerji Life Sciences, Made in USA” They are in New Jersey, I saw the Banerjis of the protocols also had a clinic there and made the mistake that they are one in the same…

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I don’t know enough about them. Until they’re fully vetted, you might want to purchase from BOiron.

    2. Jaime says:

I know you are looking for Joette’s expertise to answer this question, but I have ordered from them and had success with their remedies. I think my favorites though, for price and variety, are OHM (which Joette’s students and clients have access to) and Washington Homeopathy ( which Joette mentioned in one her classes.

    3. Barbara says:

The Banerjis that Joette studies with have on their wed site a warning that this Banerji Life Sciences is not affiliated with them. I orders some remedies before I understood this and they are in alcohol and nasty to take.

      1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

The name Banerji in India is like Smith in the U.S. and homeopathy is so sweeping that there are bound to be many Banerjis that are not affiliated with Drs. Prasanta and Pratip Banerji.

  4. Laurie says:

Great article! Are you able to speak about heart palpitations. I am doing all the good stuff diet wise, drinking lots of bone broth, taking magnesium, etc. I am even under the care of a homeopath and naturopath and nothing has helped. Thanks Joette!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Palpitations need to be addressed specific to the person given that it matters the age, etc. but I’ll tell you that its simply not a difficult condition to correct. I find that diet is rarely the cause.

    2. Shelley says:

I’ve had palpitations for years and nothing seems to be helping completely. I have thought it related to menopause, but not sure what homeopathic remedy to take. I would be nice to find a solution.

      1. Annie says:

I know this was a while ago. This is exactly my current situation. Haven’t found the exact remedy yet. Did you find anything that helped you?

        1. Shelley Firkus says:

Sorry, I didn’t see this until now. I found that my palpitations went away when I went into full menopause. I hadn’t had any for a long time until now which is why I was looking for any new info Joette might have. I saw she had a FB Live about Digitalis. Have you tried that? I have not, yet. If it keeps up I might try it. I also wonder if it might be from being a bit dehydrated today. Hope you found something that works for you Annie.

  5. Dawn Twilley says:

I am trying to find the Banerji protocol for atrial fibrillation
do you know where I can find it ? Thanks so much

    1. Heather Crider says:

Dawn – did you ever find the Afib protocol?

    2. Dee says:

It’s the same protocol that Joette lists here. Search for Banerji Protocol for Afib & you’ll find this is what’s listed. I just did it as I need the info for a friend. Joette is always my first place to check & then I do more searching.

  6. Nora says:

Is Aconitum good for lowering BP as well?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

It is a Banerji protocol to use it to reduce BP.

  7. Linda says:

Thank you for sharing this great information. I’ve never had angina but I used to get heart “gymnastics,” such as a racing heartbeat or what felt like a skipped beat, etc. In addition, I wasn’t able to sleep on my left side because, within seconds, it felt like my heart was filling up with liquid which made it have to pump really hard. Thanks to homeopathy, my heart only does something out of the ordinary once in a while now. For me, Digitalis 12c works wonders. Arsenicum also helps. (I don’t know why, maybe it’s the Syphilis miasm at work.) So thank you again, Joette! Looking forward to your next post!

    1. Catherine Kirk says:

Linda – just read your comments today Oct 26 ’18. Your symptoms rang a bell re the similarity in my husband’s heart problem -eg relatively infrequent palpitations start when lying on his left side, but peculiarly they are followed by the need to pass large amounts of urine, 3 times, before he can settle to sleep. His BP is controlled by drugs. He had a lacunar stroke and TIA in 2014. Heart rate on recent visit to consultant was 65 and regular, BP 139/80. Consultant’s report stated: ‘my impression is possible paroxysmal arrhythmia, particularly atrial fibrillation.’ (He will be having an R test and echocardiogram soon followed by a clinical review.) I’m concerned that the consultant, who had casually mentioned ‘Warfarin’ on our first visit will want to go down that route. I’m wondering what Joette would advise homeopathically, before his next appointment, and also can Warfarin be avoided?
      Many thanks.

  8. Meredith Thomas says:

Thank you Joette. I enjoyed reading this information. I learn so much with each blog you put up. My husband appeared to be having a stroke this past Saturday morning (His memory of the evening before was gone). I gave him the Aconite 200 and repeated it after 15 minutes. But then switched to Nux Vomica 200 because I then thought it may have been caused by too many whiskeys on that evening.

Maybe I should have remained on the Aconite as I read how you handled that possible stroke. In the end, turns out he was diagnosed with what it is called TGA: Transient Global Amnesia. No known etiologies and passes fairly quickly (10 hours).

I am suspicious though. Medically, they dont know what happened. There is something about what I am seeing that I cant put my finger on about this whole event. I need to continue to treat him because I see some lingering symptoms.

He has begun the Banerji Hypertension protocol. Maybe that will do it.

    Safe travels!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

      Nice job Meridith!

  9. Melisa Nielsen says:

Thanks for this! I have some questions though. I had a stroke 3 years ago and after weaning off the insane meds down to one, I am working with some herbs that help but not totally and some oils that are close. I have not pulled in the homeopathics because my worry of negating them by also using the herbs. Would you say that I shouldn’t worry and try this anyway? I did some study in homeopathy years ago and used it with a lot of success so I am not new to it, I just found more help with some oils in the last few years so I am interested in your thoughts.

    Thanks a bunch!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I can’t think of any herbs that will antidote homeopathy, but if they did so, it seems to me there’d be no loss in integrating them.
Strong versions of aromatics (a catagory of essential oils) have a greater potential of antidoting.

      1. Melisa Nielsen says:

So would you think then if I am ingesting oils it would likely go into the herbs category and not so much in the aromatics arena? That is what I have really wondered. Thanks so much. I am going to consider these remedies!

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Herbs and oils are completely different paradigms and I don’t understand your question.

      2. Melisa Nielsen says:

Also, where do I buy potencies as high as 200X? I read this study and I am very interested in using what he is recommending but can’t find the potency this high.

        1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

The links for the remedies I discuss are always embedded in the article. If they come up dry, go to Amazon.

      3. Melisa Nielsen says:

        HA! Nevermind!

  10. Sandy says:

Would the person who had the stroke remain on the cimifuga, Lachesis and crataegus mt indefinitely?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

We use homeopathic medicines for as long as they act. When the benefit has been realized and no longer moves the person forward, we move on to the next medicine that is represented in the presenting symptoms. So, for example, if the person is left with mental confusion, we use a medicine for that symptom.

Is there a homeopathic remedy for high blood pressure

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

There are, but they need to be used cautiously with an experienced homeopath.

  13. Vee says:

Joette – Just want to thank you for this article and the other one about your dad (and the dead cardiologists). It was the best information, way more than I hoped for (not the dead cardiologists tho! I pity their families.). I’ve recently been bombarded with health issues, kidney failure for one for which I walked away from dialysis which I felt would eventually kill me if I continued, then ended up with a bulging disk that I’m getting some natural tx for, and a couple of other things including what I think is angina, from what I’ve read. Finding these articles that you wrote are so helpful that I couldn’t believe it! I thank you from my heart for your generosity in writing them! ~~ Vee

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

I’m happy to know that this will help you.

  14. Vee says:

It did help immensely! Last night I awoke with another episode (only 3rd time this has happened), took two doses of the Cimicifuga, and after the first dose it was literally 10 minutes and the pain stopped. I don’t like being totally on my own for my health because I feel so inadequate (but have been distrustful of the medical system since I was about 10 years old, so I avoid them the majority of the time!), but I have to say your blog helps immensely. Thank you!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Good job. However, it would be prudent to have a cardiologist that you can trust in your court. ask around your area at health food stores, chiropractic offices, co-ops, etc.

  15. Vee says:

I appreciate that advice, but I can’t begin to tell you how hard that would be for me. I just went through a horrible ordeal in the hospital with kidney failure, then dialysis (which was messing with my heart), and they wouldn’t listen when I tried to talk to them, so I walked away from that after 4 weeks of torture. Pretty much they were insisting on me taking pills (which I always said ‘no’ to) plus I believe they were putting things into the machine they weren’t telling me about. On one of the days, they were insisting on sending me to the ER because my BP soared to 220, but I absolutely refused. My BP wasn’t high when I went in, and I swear it was from the machine causing the problem. Anyhow, between the clinic and the hospital, it was all a horrible experience, and even while there in the hospital, my family was sneaking in things for me to take, lol! But I WILL ask the alternative dr. that is working with me if he knows of a cardiologist that he trusts. If so, then I will go, but if not, I will have to stay on my own. It is so hard to talk to medical people – you ask a question and their answer never makes sense. It’s like talking to a trained robot!

  16. Alison says:

Hi Joette! Would it be ok for someone with High Blood pressure to take the Banjeri protocol of Aconite 200c + Rhus Tox 30c 2D along with Crataegus Mother Tincture 5 drops in water 2D? (You mentioned this is also good for hypertension in your article “My Dad and the Dead Cardiologists”). Or is it best to stick with one protocol at a time? The gentleman I’m trying to help is not on blood pressure medication, as he does not like the side effects, but his BP has been high for years, and he has been getting some dizzy spells. Thanks!

  17. Bashir hashmi says:

He had found something better that no cardiologist in the US knows about

  18. Magda Gradwell says:

My father get these attacks when walking faster or further than usual. He then get the pains in his chest arms and sides, then vomits and then after about 30 min feels better.
Is this angina, because he says his heart seems fine. And that he think it is nerve damage from a time when he took to codeine.
The attacks is always induced when he starts to walk and he sometimes get then at night time.
He prefers not to go to a doctor because he doesn’t want to just take any medicine. He is 80 years.

    1. Meredith says:

Magda, don’t know how much you have studied what Joette teaches, and I don’t in any way represent Joette, but since I see that you haven’t received a response yet, maybe it would be helpful if I told you what I have learned as a student of Joette. Joette generally says that to use a Banerji Protocol, you need an accurate diagnosis. You generally get the diagnosis from the MD.

  19. When treating your Dad for heart ailment, you mention using the 3 or 6x. Do you mean 3x or 6x or 3c and 6x. Please clarify. Thanks

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, RSHom(Na) says:

Which medicine are you referring to?

  20. Kevin says:

    Hello doctor
Grateful to advise if incomplete right bundle branch block can be cured by homeopathy?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

I would not tell someone that a chronic condition such as RBBB will indeed be cured with homeopathy. I would hope that an MD would also be cautious of suggesting the same with his medicines. Having said this, homeopathy doesn’t punch back with side effects and has proven itself over the last 2+ centuries to be a powerful medicine.

    2. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH says:

Kevin, for the sake of accuracy, I’m not an MD. I’m a lay practitioner/educator.

  21. Frank says:

I posted a comment and it disappeared?

  22. Shakhnoza says:

Is there any alcohol free alternative for the Crataegus mother tincture?

    1. ABC says:

Yes, Hawthorne Berry capsules or in glycerine liquid extract

  23. Georgia says:

So im taking Crataegus 30 two times a day for racing heart more so at night. . I haven’t seen any changes and I’m on day 2. Should I give it more time ?

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, PHom M says:

      A few concerns here:
      1) Crataegus 30 is not mother tincture.
      2) Crataegus is not specific for a racing heart.
      3) Expecting a homeopathic for a chronic condition to resolve in 2 days is not realistic.
I urge you to consider joining my Gateway to Homeopathy study group to round out your knowledge of homeopathy.
Should you be interested, go to JoettesLearningCenter.

  24. Tiersa says:

Would crataegus mother tincture be wise to administer after open heart surgery to strengthen the heart? My baby in utero will undergo surgery after birth to correct a heart defect and I want to have it on hand if it will be beneficial to my child to help recover and strengthen his/her heart. Thanks in advance!

    1. Joette Calabrese, HMC, PHom M says:

Given that its a tincture, it would probably not be appropriate for a new born. However look on this blog for pre and post op remedies.
